GDW Projects

Our co-op has noticed in the last two Greta's Dream Worlds that the bonus seems to stay on the same project twice in a row, and once even three times!
Have we crossed over into some twilight zone in GDW?
Is this a permanent feature now? And if so, why? (Mmm on second thoughts that's something silly to ask GGS... lol)
Is it perhaps a bug? A new farm pest for the new year?
We just find it irritating to have completed a project a few times, used all our stuff, and then the bonus simply goes back to the same project again.

I don't think it's a bug, I think it's just the way the random bonus generator works

When I had been playing GDW (which had been a lot), I never saw the bonus go to the same project twice in a row.  I haven't looked at the programming, so I obviously can say definitively, but I assumed they figured in a system where a project couldn't be chosen if had been a special project in the last 2-3 times.  To me, it seemed statistically odd not to have seen two in a row, leading me to figure it wasn't purely RNG.

Some math:  there are 13 projects.  If things were purely random, then there would be a 1 in 13 chance (7-8%) of a project being the same one the next time, and a 92-93% chance that it will be a different project.  After 9 times, the chance that no two in a row are the same drops to below 50% {(12/13)^9}, so it becomes more likely you will have seen the bonus project be the same one 2 times in a row by this point.  After 20 times, it is about 80% likely to have seen the bonus go to the same project in a row.
