    I tried that too Rosy , here is a YouTube video , a long one but a really good one for beginners.

    But I guess I just focussed on cropping and filling the snowflake so I didn't really learn them in depth. Maybe I can spend time learning Photoshop some other day.

    Hi RosyStarling, I took a pick on some of these tutorials when you proposed GIMP but.. couldnt understand how to put a background, the only one I found was a background on a text 
    and surely I found none about background with motion 
    if you are new to this kind of programs , it is not easy to understand them and this time of year ... well... I dont have much free time ha ha ha 
    thank you for the information

    Finally I can keep experimenting on this new software Gimp.
