Well though it might not increase your reps during CCs, they will boost the harvest for missions which will give you a higher amount possibly putting you way out in front.  The higher your mission harvest is the higher your reps will be in the long run. For instance a goldfish feed booster might make your MF lvl 9 mill produce 1200 vice the normal 960, so you could more quickly achieve (by using a tiny bit of gold) about 20K of goldfish food and put you into first place which might then yield you over 100K rep points.  Just a thought.

I have no idea what these booster badge things are or where they came from.
I thought it was just something to look at, so I put all the pretty purple ones on it..
    Do they affect my farm?
(There's some activate all badges thing, but I didn't click it.)

Absolutely, when you activate them with farm dollars or with gold.  Here you have a choice!  :) This example shows the "Activate All" which is located just above the "Border effects".

Thank you both so much for the help.
There are a great many changes, some are difficult to figure out.

Can I ask is it possible to remove a booster from the board once it is already there?  Thank you.

Yes, you may switch it out for another booster, but you cannot keep an empty board once you place a booster there.  Hope that helps.

So do you have to have a full booster board before you can swap for another booster?

No you don't need a full booster board to be able to swap out one. You can click on the "modify" button (the one with the pencil in it).  Then once you do that then you select the little arrow button pointing to "Badge 1".  Note that the badge 1 position is in the center of the booster board.  When you click on that button, a window opens up to show you all the badges you have available to use.  (also note a green circle line around the center badge on your board, this verifies that you are selecting badge 1) You can place up to 5 badges on the board. Once you see the available badges you have, you click on the one you want on your board.  When you do that, another window opens to show what level of badge you can place on your board.  Select the level you want and it switches out.  You now have a new booster badge on your board.

This is a very useful link concerning the Booster Badge Board: https://crazybigfarm.net/
