Is it a typo that this competition finishes on 14th February when it's September tomorrow?  That's a very long time for a competition to be held.

    Perfect entry  :) ,

You don't have to add a story, ingredients, method and photo are enough,  but you may get more points if you do!

Well, I am still trying to think of something more appetizing, but almost every meal here at our house meets this contest requirements - LOL

For example, today I made childhood favorite for everyone!  Took some wheat (1), ground it up, added a little sugar (2) and spring water (3), mixed them together with some yeast & left it to rise. Sent the kids out to pick grapes (4) and a bucket to smash them up in, while I went to the neighbor's to get some peanuts. When I returned, I stuck the bread in the oven, put the smashed grapes in a pot with some sugar beets (5), then ground the peanuts down and added a little olive oil (6) and honey (7) to make the peanut butter.
Put 'em together for a classic PB&J!
(Would be great with a nice cold glass of milk, but sadly we are out. Please BYOM ! - and don't ask what happened with the cows and goats - long story)

  • I made extra dessert tonight to share with the mods here. It's so easy, you can make it yourself. Here is the recipe for 2 servings (well, we like it so much it's 2 servings for us).

    Peach Crisp

1 large PEACH (or 1 well drained 14.5 oz can) cut into chunks
    3Tbsp brown SUGAR
    2Tbsp quick oats
    2Tbsp flour (ground WHEAT)
    1/4tsp cinnamon
2Tbsp butter, softened (made from cow's MILK)

Top with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream
(made tonight with whipped cream; SUGAR, MILK, CORN syrup)

Place peach chunks on bottom of cooking pan. Not piled too thick, but they should at least cover all surface area. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, combine all other ingredients, mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over the peaches. Bake at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes, or microwave for 4-8 minutes on high. Enjoy!

    Classic Chocolate Cake

This is probably the best and easiest moist Chocolate cake I've ever made. And the only recipe which actually   worked for me. All the others got burnt.
Recipe credits goes to one of my coop mate (^ ^).

    Ingredients:

    1.  1 3/4 cup flour
    2. Sugar (2 cups)
    3. Cocoa powder - 3/4 cup ( I used a Dutch processed one)
    4. Baking soda - 1 1/2 Tsp
    5. Baking powder - 1 1/2 Tsp
    6. Salt -1/2 Tsp
    7. 2 eggs
    8. 1 cup milk
    9. 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
    10. Vanilla extract - 2 Tsp
    11. 1 cup boiling water

    Method :
    - preheat the oven to 360F / 180 C. Prepare the baking pan by applying a butter paper and set it aside. You could use 2 baking pans.

    1. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
    2. Add the milk, eggs, oil and vanilla essence to the dry ingredients and beat it until smooth using a standing mixer for about 2-3 minutes.
    3. Pour in boiling water while stirring.
    4. Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes.

Keep the cake aside for cooling. You can also add chocolate syrup on top of it. It's best to poke holes using a fork and then add the syrup so that the cake would absorb it.
Refrigerate the cake for about 2-3 hours.

    Woodland Wreath Christmas Cake

This is the picture from the recipe

    And the ingredients

The cake is simple. Beat everything together apart from the mincemeat and the cherries. Fold them in afterwards.

The icing is made from the butter, the amaretto and the icing sugar all just beaten together.
So the Big Farm Ingredients : butter, flour(wheat), eggs and almonds.

    And my finished result:

Not quite like the original so hopefully nobody will accuse me of cheating

The Magic Cream Caramel Cake  <3 We call it here ''Kudrit Kader'', which means made by a miracle. It got that name because you mix the creme caramel and the cake ingredients in one dish and somehow the creme caramel goes on bottom and the cake goes on top!

    For the Caramel:
In a saucepan put the sugar, heat untill sugar is dissolved over lower heat and have amber color.
Then pour Caramel in the cake pan, tilting carefully to coat evenly. Let it cool.

    For the Cream:
In an electric mixer add all the cream Ingredients until well combined.
Then add the cream on top of cold caramel.

Pour the batter on top of sugar and cream caramel mix evenly in your cake pan.
Place cake pan into a large baking dish and pour boiling water into it to reach halfway up side. ( Water Bath )
Bake in water bath for 45 Min, Or until set.
Let cool, Outside for an hour, Then refrigerate until set for at least 4 hours, preferably over night.
Before serving, Place cake pan in a hot water bath for 2 min, to liquefy caramel on the bottom, then turn the cake pan upside down in a serving plate.
