  I have only gotten goldflower seeds from the gold boxes, not from green

  I haven't been recording the drop rates, but I have only collected one goldflower seed once from a green theme box out of opening probably quite a large number, so it appears to be quite rare. The gold theme box occasionally gives 50 gold as well but it is rare, though not as rare as collecting goldflower seeds from a green theme box.

  I'm with both @shazamd (US1) & @ninjahuman (AU1) on this 1.
   Have never got any gold flower seeds from the green theme boxes. I have found GML, Gold Flower seeds & Gold in the Gold theme boxes. But not often as @ninjahuman (AU1) pointed out.
