Fortune Teller ( OR) Gold Digger ?
It seems to Me that this is just another way to take our Gold, I do not buy gold in My game so it took Me Years mind you to collect the amount of gold that I currently have, so I sure am not going to give it away on a whim just to get a Fortune told, the items for it are probably items I would not want anyway so  I will just pass on this , yup. :)

After update in VF there are more pages in the challenge search page, but some pages are empty, and page no #8 is not clickable at all. If i click on #8, then #9 will be opened.

  • The fortune teller thing is inappropriate for this time of year.  We are in a Christmas mode.  That would be best during some other time if at all.  And starting at 100 in gold?  Come on, how does that work for the smaller farms or players who don't use much gold.  Totally unfair both ways.  If it must be, let it be at another time of year, not now.  Would like to see our regular Christmas/winter fun items instead!

GG.  Instead of smoke, (which clearly NO ONE likes) how about fixing the long time bugs?
Got this one yet again just now.
    Stupid dog!

And two coops (Both mine so I watch for this.)  Got the new applicant red explanation mark.  But no one there.  And it doesn't go away.
SO I won't know if someone actually applies or the thing is just stuck.

BOTH these bugs have been reported... the dog at LONG time ago.
Yet all you can come up with is a gold digging fortune teller and puffs of smoke?
    Please.
Someone over there needs to find another job.  Clearly this isn't it.

    Fortune teller.
Ok, I have one farm that has built up a load of gold.  So gave it a try.

100 gold and I won back 200 gold.   COOL!
Next (and I didn't write this down but this is close.)
Was about 300 gold.... and I won some sacks of seaweed.
Then I see the top prize up there, few thousand gold.  Ok,
This time it costed 500 gold and I got back some orange feed.

And that's it.   Just like real fortune tellers, this is a huge rip off.
Nothing but a cheap carnival attraction.
Sure you MIGHT hit it big.  You MIGHT get hit by lightning on a sunny day too.

GG enjoy the few hundreds in gold you got back.   This one enters my ignore it list.

I did it once and got 200 gold back.  I stopped there.
A woman in our co op did it and she got 200 gold back.  Then she did it again and she got chicken feed,  She stopped there.

    Hahahahaha .....

     " For a price , the fortune teller will tell ... "
I hope that price is not just gold but also dollars and farm items ...
    no such luck.

What a terrible update. The grocery icons are discusting. Al the icons where fine.... and now.... it looks like a very childish game.

And why not first fix the game. Its very slowly for days now. Even the dream is a ramp.

maybe they are trying to make it look more like farmville?

The weirdest thing happened over to the Coop - 14 members posted The Fortune Teller  is way to costly - Now not all typed those words so I loosely translate there posting. So i gather the Hook is if you play you may win the 200 gold right out of the box - Hook is set - Real them gold bits in - This is not a good thing as most of the Givings can be made locally in game - Granted the more you play the more you lose Err I mean take a chance you might get the big payoff - Why do I have a Slot machine on my farm? I kike some of the Bug Fixes that came along - Even though many of them did not effect my farm -  Totally happy some are addressed. Some of the Graphics are nice but some are annoying ( you can tell which ones by reading previous post above this one )

I think GGS needs to learn the definition of "fortune teller"......that thing on our farm is not a fortune teller, its a pokies machine. So once again the bugs remain, the game is a slow laggy messy but instead of fixing it they put in more popups (which are working perfectly by the way, hmmm) and a con artist feature thats only there to lure gullible people with an early win then rob them of their gold........is this greed ever going to end????
  • ninjahuman (AU1)ninjahuman (AU1) AU1 Posts: 2,526
@ninjahuman (AU1) Last year it came just before they went on holidays and then could not fix all the bugs as no one was in office.
Ok thanks. I was looking forward to making use of some of my excess supplies like dung, feed etc. but I guess that will not be happening. :(

This year doesn't really feel like there are any special Christmas events. The Xmas WOF is giving random stuff I already have a lot of and there is nothing great like before compared to Santa's workshop and original Xmas WOF. The fortune tellers appears to be a waste of gold as well.
  • For a few lucky people i'm sure the fortune teller will give them lot's of gold but in general it's just a event designed to get your gold and i still don't see why ggs would put such an obvious gold grabbing event on our farms  :/

Bad enough that the fields blow up dust during every seeding.. Bad enough that watering the coop tree freezes the tree (and the game) for several seconds...Bad enough that this is causing more lag...But now, every time I start production in the bigger buildings or mills or laboratory etc, when I see the smoke come up it reminds me of the WTC building collapse from 9/11.  Please remove the smoke when starting production!

Well, I guess I'm the only lucky one.
After nearly 2 full days of playing with this new update my farm still runs faster than it has in a couple years.  The new pellet drops are wonderful - much less obstructive than the previous ones and much easier to read.  I'm making far fewer skips and mistakes because of them than they way they were before.
And I did get used to the smoke when sowing fields, stables & buildings.  In a small way, it's a confirmation that the game actually did what I clicked on.  But it's also a minor point.  Lose it if nobody likes it.

While I agree with everyone who says fix the bugs first (like my dog which hasn't worked in a LO-O-O-ONG time and Barnacle's boat which STILL can't find the dock) I stick with giving GGS a thumbs up for an update that actually made the game a bit better.  Do more of that, please.
  • I found that if you can't get your dog to eat then moving it will let you feed it. I move it one square when it gets stuck. Yes, that's often. Great job there, GGS.

Is there where I go to thank everyone for the new graphics package that made things so much slower?  I would ask when this became a priority, but clearly no one involved understands the concept of "prioritizing."

And what is the deal with the Fortune Teller?  Why would anyone ever do that?  You must make it appealing to spend gold.  This......in no way does that.

Another two-week Dream World?  Is this a joke?

Obviously, GGS pointing nose at us. First they mess up our DW farm with timers not syncronized and now want us to start over from scratch.

One timer says 14 days, the other 6 days for the first week. Will the second week hold 8 days..?.. heh.

Believe we are facing a new mess-up and should warn our co-op members to keep an eye on the timers if they are playing DW.

Do wonder why GGS hasn´t fixed and syncronized the DW timers!

This is a little off topic, but I love your sig file there.  I just watched a thing about Mel Brooks and they did clips from Blazing Saddles.
I think if you could make one of your cowboys sit up and fart, perhaps just like our fields do now, it would be even better.
Just in case someone is not familiar with what I'm talking about, here.

    Just saying.

Whats the point of surveys if no one listens!
Analysts can interpret survey answers to manipulate the truth. Questions are usually vague enough that they can skewer the response in a way that benefits the company. It also serves to pacify customers into thinking they are being listened to.

Right on both counts.  A typical survey questions usually reads, "How satisfied are you with the number of Coop Chapionships offered?"  If someone responds, "unsatified or highly unsatified," the numbers guy (who probably is no analyst at all), can say to management, "they aren't happy with the number of CCs -- I'm sure they want more."

Any survey worthwhile will also allow for open ended questions and places to explain why they responded a certain way. But that would mean they'd have to hire a real analyst to interpret the surverys, and not just someone who can tally numbers. If they were interested in the longevity of the game, they'd hire a marketing research company to run and interpret the surveys.  But this way, they can show their stockholders that they are giving the customers exactly what they want.

Exactly why I've stopped taking them.
