  There was, briefly, a % sign on plots of land around all 3 farms.  It was 50% off with dollars and not gold.  I snagged some!

  YES
   as you will find out some of the land can be and is very expensive. Example the last plot on the Gourmet farm is well over half a billion farm dollars. Even at 50% off it would be still a quarter billion farm dollars.

  Congrats! I'm done as well with my land or as much as I am going to buy, every thing but the last plot on the Flower farm. May buy it, if it was put on sale for 50% off farm dollars. But sure not spending Gold or the amount of farm dollars they want other wise.

  At higher levels, earnings in dollars from fishing n farm will generate income allowing you to buy plots in all 3 farms for dollars over time.

  someone in my coop thought this too. it diid allow you to purchase with dollars after clicking this % off sign, but in case you were not paying attention, it charged you full price.  The discount is for gold purchase only.  So it is doubly deceitful!
