    The solution as I see it is to stop playing the game for the 19 hours or so that are remaining for this annoying pop up. The other thing that could/should be done is that GGS gets rid of the far too many pop ups in the game. They are annoying (both the pop ups and GGS) the players world wide.

    I'll be back tomorrow and hopefully be able to continue playing the game.

    What will happen if I remove the monument from the farm? Will the popup go away?

    I am on Chrome and the popup is bothersome and I will NOT buy into their little gold scheme.

    Nothing will change if you remove the monument.
    I tried. The pop-up repeats with the monument and without it.

    Hello farmers,

    We are aware of the issue regarding the recurring of the finisher of the summer monument. Unfortunately, we will not be able to kill the finisher because it may affect other mechanisms within the event.

    The finisher will end at 9:30 CEST on the 29th Sep.

    We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

    What event do they mean exactly?
    Right now we play ( from top of my head)
    Candy farm
    Worldwide championship
    Oktoberfest
    Suijaku school
    HWE
    Farmers league
    Not of this world
    Goldfish rescue
    etc

    they  are ALL affected NOW

    inexcusable lack of professionalism 
    shame on you
    All these events running, they have finally cooked their own goose with all this game over-load, the weekend in the U.S. when most of us play. Imagine ALL THAT GOLD that WILL NOT be bought because we cannot play. 

    On the other hand, stuff the game in the closet people, we are free to spend our money on things that work, like real life for a day or so.

    This is impossible to play the game today, they are trying to force us to spend more money to stop this pop up, no way am I doing that but will be looking for some compensation for this absolutely dreadful muck up, yet another one.

    receive any compensation just saying .
  • GGS - your knowing about "the issue regarding the recurring of the finisher of the summer monument" and not fixing it is not acceptable. You are basically telling the players either pay up or deal with this "inconvenience" for 24 hours.  I have teammates who have either paid the gold to make it go away, or won't play until this mess is over.  Where is the accountability in all this?  You need to compensate the players who spent gold that they should not have had to, and also compensate the players that lost time or just muddled thru trying to put up with this stupidity.

    People have said that they paid the gold to get rid of the popup - easy solution, except that it is NOT available to every gold user, and not available AT ALL to those who do not buy gold.

    I currently do not have enough gold to do this, nor do I have a way to buy more at this time. My bank doesn't allow overseas purchases without prior authorization, which I can't get over the weekend since the bank is closed. My only option is to not play the game until the finisher ends - fifteen plus hours from now.

    Since I wasn't able to do anything since the popup started, this means MORE loss of points and +10s on the HWE, bumping down the ranks in a WWC group that is already unfairly balanced and costs me extra gold to get anywhere on, lost money for donations to my coop, lost money for upgrades, lost production in the candy farm - as someone else already said, it affects EVERY running event and aspect of the game.

    Glitches and bugs are understandable, but to do nothing and leave people with no other option but to spend the gold or not play until the finisher ends - completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

    I am pretty much done with this game and all the problems that come with it. It has become more of a stress inducer than the things I started playing it for. : /

    The players are leaving your farms and filing complaints on sites intended to act against abuse, spam and an alleged "extortion" in the game.

    The forum does not allow us to post about legal issues so I don't say anything else about it.  :|

    I say start a petition to insist on having a GGS tech work on weekends.  After all, BF players pays their salaries.  :|
    Why do I get the feeling a petition would lead to another bug? lol :p 

    Seriously though, we do pay their salaries and should therefore have some way to fix problems 7 days a week. It's not like we stop playing on the weekend. For many players, the weekend is all the play time they have.

    Did you notice that there was someone at GGS on the weekend  that was able to post the "Official Announcement" that they can't do anything until the clock runs out.  How convenient was that,  It sure gets them out of the refunding gold for those that chose to close  that annoying pop up. They  must think we are all stupid & wouldn't think of that, &  are  likely laughing their butts off...disgusted doesn't begin to describe how I feel.

    Very good point. 

    I could be putting up with the click-popup-click-popup nonsense, but like you and many others I am beyond disgusted. Even if I had a way to buy the gold to "fix" the problem, I wouldn't. Especially not after I logged back on this morning and saw that announcement. I just might stop buying gold altogether. The amount we spend is far, far greater than what most customers would continue to pay for poor service in most if not all other businesses.

    This is incredible annoying and frustrating. It is impossible to play the game and any of the multiple events that are ongoing. That is a day lost of all the events. Most people of my coop have been affected and are really upset and frustrated. Please, stop "testing" or introducing new stuff that has never been run before (like this monument pop up) when there is no enough personnel at the office to fix possible issues in a timely manner.

    Edit: ironically today, the most annoying daily task (watering the coop member trees), became the most enjoyable one.

    I think GGS that this is the final straw that broke the camels back.  Totally unplayable and unprofessional conduct from yourselves.  I for one am thinking of cancelling my subscription even although I use it a lot, why should I pay for a service I cannot use and when something goes wrong we get excuse after excuse as to why it takes so long to fix, yet still you take our money.  Not acceptable.

     Maybe we should all complain to the Swedish Consulate (Stillfront Group) & another to the German Consulate (GGS), that'll put the wind up them

    LOL Sunday morning her & nearly 8 more hrs before this Pop up goes away..NOT GOOD.. All that needed to be done is for GGS to have sent a pop up telling everyone to buy Summer Coins & that they would be compensated later..  ALAS .. WAKE UP GGS
