Horse racing

I race with my horse every day. It's breeding value is 122. Just two seasons ago I was competing with this same horse and almost finished in platinum league II. I reached then several times the platinum league II. Now with this same horse in this horse season I struggle to get permanently into platinum league. At the moment I am in golden league. Four days now I have competed and competed and raced and raced but I always drop back to golden league. Just received gas gift from candy farm, significant amount of gas, but I almost lost every single race.. How is this possible... I can see horses with much lower breading value staying in platinum league..Before this wasn't hard at all. What has happened??? How come with this same horse results are so much more difficult to achieve.

you must send ypur horse in village meadow to gain more training points. it really makes the difference

Below Platinum a loss costs fewer points than a win so we inevitably tend to move up.
In Platinum they are both the same, so to move up, we have to be better than the other horses around us.
I would suggest that other players have improved their horses more than you have

The difference (improvement) between other horses and mine is not so big that it would explain my losing. Maybe some have improved but many are still the same. I just lose more to higher level horses and also to lower level horses..I wonder why...Before I reached the platinum league much earlier..now I still struggle getting and staying there. Before I had no trouble staying in the platinum league..

I do believe there has been an adjustment/rework of the horse tournaments with the introduction of the Horse meadow. @amber3 (INT1)  has suggested - send your horses into the horse meadow often to help improve them.

@GOO (SKN1) You cannot tell the strength of a horse just from its breeding level, the more important data, such as the breeding effects & quality, are hidden, so it is possible to have a strong horse with a low level or the opposite with a weaker horse that has a higher level. As others have suggested, you can add to your horses breeding effects in the horse meadow.

Another factor is the horses strength in each discipline - If you are concentrating on having 1 main horse, as opposed to having 3 horses, each specialised for a different discipline, then your horse needs to be a good all-rounder, because while you can choose to challenge others in your strongest event, they can be challenging you in your weaker ones.

The only info I receive when I challenge a horse is their breeding level/value, so I think that counts a lot. All the other info is hidden..But of course my horse may have lower breeding effects etc..

I've also noticed that there are two diamond league horse owners that challenge me as often as they could. They have personal resentment towards me. The resentment is unjustified because the punishments have followed justifiedly due to the players' own actions in this game. The other has the best horse in our league at the moment and the other has a very high ranked one. Both are early in the diamond league. If those challenge me 2-3 times a day + all the other challenges - no wonder I lose all the time...but there is more..because I lose a lot to lower ranked horses too nowadays. Can those diamond league horses challenge more each other and the platinum league league horses more the horses in platinum league because very often I need to challenge diamond league horses?
  • @GOO (SKN1) No one has any control over who comes up on their choice of challenges, I get the same names over & over, often as soon as I challenge them they come right back again. I also see the same people challenge me multiple times,  so the ones challenging you probably have no more personal resentment towards you, than you do to the people that you challenge, we are all in the same boat on that issue.

As Wabbit has told you, breeding level can be incredibly misleading. A horse can show as 140 but be only 50 Strength and 200 endurance. Also, breeding effects count exactly the same as attributes in the calculation.

That's the point. Someone has the control :) (GGS). The same diamond league horses challenge me over and over again, with much better horses and I have to challenge them. But it is a question of programming/coding.

It is much harder for lower level horses to reach platinum league if they are constantly challenged by horses that are more likely to win them. Or if the horses that I can challenge are mainly horses in the diamond league. It should't be like that. And there are plenty of horses that I cannot challenge so often, why is that??? They rarely appear to the ones I can choose. And like I said there is big difference in my success compared to a horse season not the last but the ones before that with this same horse. Something must explain that. Something has changed and not for the better.

GOO, you keep saying "with this same horse". Have you not trained and bred that old horse multiple times since 2 seasons ago ? Do you not in fact have a new horse, much better than that old one ?
If not, then this would explain your problem because everybody else has and you have fallen down the field.

I can see other horses' improvement, like I said before it doesn't explain my bad results. All of them are not so much improved. I am still about to fall out of the platinum league at the moment. I have less than 900 points at the moment. I just lose and lose and I have to challenge almost only better horses than mine.

I can see that a horse with breeding level 108 is in the platinum league, so I wonder why am I about to drop of the league still with a horse with breeding level 122...I made the same results with my old horse 10 breeding levels lower than this one many months ago..Something is really wrong now... :(
  • GOO (SKN1)GOO (SKN1) SKN1 Posts: 240
and the breeding value/breeding level shows quite accurately which are the best horses and which ones are not. The ones in the diamond league has the highest breeding levels/ values. So even if the horses have some other breeding effects that I cannot see, the breeding level tells a lot about how the horse should succeed. At least in our horse leagues it does!!

The horse event is completely random. It doesn't matter what you do.  You are only allowed to win so many times and for some reason, the Platinum Level is ridiculous. I achieved it once, but got bumped back out. Why? I achieved the number of points in the rating and advanced each time, but others challenging me made me loose a lot of points - that's the explanation I received.

Just make sure that your best horse is racing - I found if I checked "Choose best horse" the game DID NOT choose the best horse and I lost a lot of points when lesser horses were challenged. So uncheck that box. I have saved screenshots of the best horse and the one the game chose in case anyone doubts this.

I noticed there were horses came up in my challenge marked as being in gold with Level 14 - or Level 20  how is that possible? If the game chose a lesser horse as being your best . . . it can happen that your best horse is not racing.  If there is another explanation - I'd like to know.

Just remember the goal of Good Game is to get you to spend gold to support their business - your goal is to have fun. It is not a challenge to just buy a win with a credit card, but for some players - a win is a win. Just remember that if you are playing the game for fun winning is not important because others are just putting money in to buy gold to use to compete. If you are trying to get ahead by playing the game, you cannot compete with anyone ready to pull out their credit card.

    That is my opinion.

Have fun and don't stress about winning.

No I'm not stressing about the winning but there is something wrong with this horse season.

I am competing with my best horse. I have been in the platinum league ever since I bread my first horses and they were much worse than this one. Now I see horses in breeding level 105 in the platinum league and they won't drop off anymore but I will and did yesterday and probably will today too. Six days now and no progress in the platinum league, I don't get forward at all and this has never happened before. I can see horses level 143 in the diamond league, my horse is level 122 and horses level 105 are in the platinum league, I think I should be in the platinum league IV or III like I usually am at this point of the horse season. Now I have 889 points and I am about to drop off of platinum league. I lose a lot more than I usually do and even a lot for horses lower ranked than mine.

If the game is ramdom it should be ramdom in a same way to all the players..

Yes I know that GGS wants us to buy gold, this is their business. I'm not a gold buyer I have never bought any gold for this game and never will.

I have checked with 4 different farms, as I've come up against this myself.
One is supposed to breed the horses to gain an advantage, but as soon as one does, the caliber of challenger horses goes up.

GOO, you keep saying that your horse is level 122 but this is only a small part of its information.
Are all 3 attributes the same, what meadow training effects does it have, what normal breeding effects does it have ?
My top racer is a level 142 but only 50 of those points are Agility and over 200 are Endurance
My top showjumper is level 150 but also has over 50 points of meadow strength training and 100 points of JumpPower
Your belief that horses of an equal level are equal to each other is what is causing you problems because it is just not true.

Uncle John I compare my results with the previous horse season and the one before, the difference is too big to be explained with your causes...

Have had the same thoughts as GOO for a while, but remembered that the competitions are totally random - maybe you loose maybe you win - you might compete with a level 49 horse to your own 122, but it doesn´t matter. You are going to loose if that what randomly comes from the game. I feel the same way as GOO it has become harder to win and stay in the leagues. SO MAYBE; SOMEONE AT GGS HAS A TELLING ABOUT HOW THIS WORKS -

I still wonder what is going on with this horse season. I still have less than 900 points (897 to be exact) and I am still about to drop off the platinum league.. 10 days left this season and I am no way near my normal results and 10 days I've tried to stay in the platinum league.

might be something to do with the errors between dressage and racing that are occurring right now.
  • MRG1 (US1)MRG1 (US1) US1 Posts: 1,554
Since the mess-up with Dressage and Racing being mixed up, I am showing almost all the horses that challenged me have been in Show Jumping, which seems wrong. Usually I get challenged more in Racing and Dressage if I recall. Seems like another part of the problem. I doubt that suddenly 95% of players are choosing Show Jumping

There must be a bug. Can this be fixed. Now I have 889 points and will soon drop off the platinum league. I just lose and lose and lose. Ten days now and I make no progress at all.

No progress still. Today I've reached 913 points but I lose all the time to worse horses than mine. Still in platinum league V. I've now contacted the support about the matter.

Happening to me as well, and I'm someone who competes non-stop during this event. I should be solidly in Platinum by now with plenty of breathing room, but instead, I see my horse slipping downwards rapidly.  It doesn't help not knowing which tab is which, as we seem to be getting conflicting feedback.

It took me about 15 days to get through platinum V league. Today I finally reached platinum IV and dropped straight back to platinum V again, so I'm no longer in platinum IV. Just for curiosity.

At the same time I can see horses level 144 in the diamond league.. mine is level 122..just wondering
