This is a long term game not a race. It will take time and work to get your farms built up. Like Rome it will not be done in a day, a week, a month or even a year. Heck I have been with this game for over 3 years and I am not finished building up my farms yet ;) So hang in there and just "Keep on Farming"
Okay. But then I would be level, say, 66, and I still have a level 4 farmhouse!
This happens a lot these days. And yes, this is a long term game.

You know, I still have a level 1 silo!

As you level up more and more becomes available to build and upgrade. Focus on your main farm the most you will need it ;)

  • If you have any gold, buy a level 1 water tower.  It saves you 10% on all your feed.  That is 1 out of 10, so you save on what you need to make to feed chickens, pigs and cows.  That adds up in a hurry.  Not only that but it saves on fertilizer used on apples.  So again, 9 instead of 10.  Then should you get some extra gold, upgrade it, 20% really shows a difference especially in the lower levels.

Don't for get the dog house.  You get happiness and exp from playing with your pet.

Oh, keep checking the Big Farm Deals.  That bugger gives away FREE money.  Yep, 100k up for free.  Should you have enough gold, he sells gold certs at 25% off.  That is 250 gold for free!  Play the wheel of fortune when you get 8 tokens but only when you get 8, you can get some real goodies from it.  The mystery boxes are ok but don't let them stack up at your level.  Use them.  You wont need them as you get higher.

If you have a horse farm, turn in those money certs as often as you get them.  I think you can only have 2 at the max so don't waste them.

Do the challenges every day! You do not need to win just play to get the reward.  Water the trees in the coop for free $$.  If not in a coop find one.  Pick a big one, lots of trees

Utilize your time on line with the things outlined, they make you money.  Build your houses up not scatter them small ones willy nilly all over you will end up regretting having a dozen level 1 houses.  Do not forget to upgrade your fence and gates!  Happiness = $$

Have fun, looks like you got a lot planned.

Please show me what you mean by, "that bugger gives away free money". Also, you still spend about 75%.

I only earn thousands of dollars from those, you know.

It'll take a few decades to get to a few million, so I don't think it's successful.

What thing do I get when I turn in those money certs? What is the thing that you can only get two at maximum?

@piggyoink15 (US1) the "bugger that gives away money is called "Omar" so when the "Big Farm Deals" is visiting you be sure to check in on him regularly. He may also offer you a Gold Mining License every so often for 1500 Gold.Be sure you have saved up at least 3500 Gold before you buy one from him. That way you can start it in your level 2 mine or better, once ready you harvest 4000 Gold so you make 500 Gold each time :)
If your signature is correct you have only been playing this game a few months, it will take a lot more time to build up your farms so that you can make millions a day. I have been playing for over 3 years now. So try not compare your farms and how much you make by others.

  • Get as many apple orchards as you can and some cherry orchards in the main farm, and almond and peach in the Gourmet. Produce dishes in the bakery: Almond muffins or apple turnovers during the day and Fruitcake with cream overnight.

Keep collecting money and when you have enough money start upgrading the flower farm. Get at least 2 meadows, 2 olive and 1 citrus. Get distillery and start producing various items. Keep upgrading the flower shop. The most profitable products in flower shop are soap and honey cream: produce soap during the day and honey cream overnight.

Start filling up market contracts and getting bonus in the products. Try to fill up the ship contracts, at least 4 out of 6.

Keep playing the weekly events. Each event will give you some money as well as seeds which will get you some extra money.

It's a long term game and it takes time, but it's not that hard to make money if you keep playing regularly.

    Happy farming...

  • Hello, so I have been frequently spending money thanks to the new fishing update, and I am trying to buy another extension on my main farm AND my flower farm. They cost nearly $1,900,000 in total. Since I am saving about $1,750,000; this is not enough. I also am aiming for the barn, the farmhouse, and the windmill.

    Current spare money: $223,836
    Barn cost: $2,000,000
    Farmhouse cost: $4,000,000
    Windmill cost: $1,000,000
    Extension cost (main farm): $1,080,000
    Extension cost (flower farm): $850,000
    Total cost: $7,000,000
    GRAND TOTAL: $10,680,000

I tried selling summer bonquets, pasta gift baskets, and aloe vera; but I get little money from those compared to the big cost.

Please help! I need to get money BY THE MILLIONS!!

    Thanks,
    piggyoink15
So I bought the extensions! YAY
So now I'm looking forward to the windmill and other big stuff :)

on low level if you have time, it is very efficient to go fishing for hogfish(the most expensive bait one). with enough patience it is a good quick money. (never "call" too many fish with a bait though. if you'll leave them out for too long, they will just swim away... about 10 at once is safe enough)

Fully agree with this, and I've given this advice before.

Yeah, it's boring.  But once you get good at fishing, you can buy 50 HogFish Bait for $260,000.

That will allow you to catch 450 pounds of hogfish (9 pounds per bait), which sell for $675,000.

A profit of ~$410,000 per 50 bait - which takes about 10 minutes to catch, once you get good at it.

Meaning you can make over $1 Million an hour just from catching Hogfish.. Do it while playing a movie on Netflix or something so you don't go out of your mind from boredom, and you can make a couple million dollars per NetFlix movie.

It's by far the fastest way to make money I know of, short of using gold to speed production or just outright buying money from Monica (also using gold).

Just a disclaimer on this, additional expense does exist as you *will use up fish hooks, and *may use up other fishing supplies as well that will reduce your profit margin.

that said, yes its good money if you have the time :-)

    Level 95

All farms: production costs reduced by around 85%,

Main farm: Grow fields for feed, use special seeds to save play time.  Cow milk for bakery and shop.  2 level 8 cooperative Apple orchard and a level 8 cherry orchard to supply bakery.

Gourmet farm: 3 level 7 gardens for feed, level 8 Donkeys for dung, Duck eggs for bakery.  Level 8 almonds and peaches for bakery.  Bakery makes fruitcake and apple pie.

Flower farm: level 7 Meadow for aloe vera, other crops in smaller amounts, distillery for aloe vera gel, olives and citrus fruits used in small amounts, 2 level 7 apiarys for honey, level 9 shop for honey cream and sometimes soap.  Each honey cream batch makes around 1 million, each box of soaps batch makes around 100000.
Send Oleg on fishing boat, use amphibian to increase fish.  Make hogfish soup at Mermaid Bay.

Fishing region: level 4 skipjacks: collects up to 197 fish each, good contracts give 5-10 million each, skip ones with no dollars, ones with more than 100 clams/shrimp/oysters per 2.5 million dollars, and ones without swordfish, salmon, cod, tuna, lobsters.  Majority of profits come from fish contracts.

Farm contracts: skip ones with horseshoes and karma as reward, skip ones with too many crops or pigs, balance milk and egg contracts(including bakery goods), apples make good profit, Best contracts ask for lots of perfume, honey cream and soaps and less crops.

Other: complete the first task of wedding planner to get 400000 dollar profit, Daily reward gives almost 100000 dollars, Each level 6 doghouse gives up to 80000 dollars worth of goods.

Use dollars on laboratory, land expansions, and architect upgrades.

If all my baked goods are topped off, and I'm online, I churn the apple turnovers. Overnight, I make fruitcakes with cream.

In the flower shop, if I'm online during the day, I work toward topping off those goods. After that, I'll make soap if I'm online and honey cream overnight.

I send Oleg out on the boats during the day, and send him for Bonito overnight. I generally hang onto my fish,, then sell some off when I need a lot of money quickly.

I also make sure my Powerhouse is running before harvesting milk on my main farm.

For more dung, get your powerhouse in the garage.  You have the initial toolboxes needed to build it the first level, and then each level you build it makes it so you can use it sooner.   Even at level 1 built you can use it with 4 toolboxes, and 10 certificates you earn doing missions for 50% more dung from your main farm animals, and it lasts for one hour.  So, you collect on full run cowsheds, pigs, and have your chickens ready, then run short run cows and pigs, and also run your chickens for that full hour to get the most dung, and all the other products as well.

I save my tools for unlocking all machines and I use the 50% booster only for hard worker events that ask for milk.

Okay???  Is your way the only way to do things?  I use it for filling large milk contracts, and if I don't have any while it is running I sell the overage for more money.  I thought this was a thread about tips and tricks on how to get more money to farm with?  The person I was directing my post to said he/she had not enough dung, this is one way to get a lot more dung when it is needed.

Suzy, when a person makes a comment to help another person, it's perfectly okay for another person to chime in and say why he/she doesn't do it that way, isn't it? Could be helpful to the person asking the question. Not a personal put down, just  presenting another viewpoint for the person to consider. I know when I ask for suggestions, the back and forth exchange between people is really helpful to me. :)

As this person wants to make more money, I also was going to suggest not using the tool boxes unless they have a ton of them. When I use the powerhouse, I do so at 20% most of the time as my toolboxes are more valuable to me for other things -- and they are very thin on the ground these days.

As for dung, if they play the game for any length of time, they'll soon be up to their ears in the stuff, and you can't sell it, even though we've asked.

Yes, I would have to agree that someone commenting would be a good thing, I took it as a definite I was telling someone the wrong thing.   I find it easy for well established farmers to give opinions on the use of machines with tools to sometimes not be as beneficial to those who are very young.  When someone needs lots of orchards started but doesn't have the dung to make the needed fertilizer, then using the machine is a great benefit.  I do agree those tool boxes are not that plentiful, but I have managed to do alot with them, and use the tool boxes for the extra dung when I needed it, and getting the benefit of using them for the bakery.  I also find that although the GF silo is very slow at making fertilizer, it is much more beneficial to me by using it instead of the MF silo, because it requires far less dung to make fertilizer.  I only use the MF silo when I am low on fertilizer and a spark on those helps to further the distance the dung goes.  To each his own, but I think we all need to allow others to make tips and tricks available to others, even if it doesn't suit other farmers form of play.  Maybe I read into it wrong, but I surely took it as "I was saying the wrong thing".  Suzy!

I just wanted to add to this that there are two of the best advice I was ever given to building a farm was by a deputy in the first coop I was in.  The first one was, "use all the tools at your disposal while you are young to forward your farm better".  The second best advice was "build your farm as it suits you, we all need different things".  I tend to agree with both of those.
  • best tip for new player is to go fish hogfish bait and unlock fishing boat for oleg as fast you can

How can I get gold for free
    @DZ Joker (INT1)

For instance, from logging you get every 5 days 30 gold and sometimes 50. From leveling up 50. From completing contracts you might get few gold pieces. From mystery boxes you can get gold, gold flowers or gold mining licenses (GMLs). Mystery boxes of various types and GML are are part of most event rewards. Those are the most common sources of free gold within the game that I can think of right now.

Sow wild flowers and sell them. Login everyday because on first day you will get 2,000 farm dollars.
Wildflowers are a bit... well... cheap. Only 1 dollar per unit being sold. Eggs, On the other hand, are 14 times as profitable.. Many more choices out there.
