Is there any way to copy/paste in HTML? As a CoOp leader I use it a lot in messages & for forum/CBF links.  I can only "copy image" now and it will not paste anywhere...
Am already losing members due to bug issues and now I cannot easily keep the ones left informed and up-to-snuff on what's up with the game.
(I can copy from the forum and paste into a message, that still works. It's in the message box itself that I have problems.)
@Taji (US1)  Same problem here. Can't paste a URL to an announcement in the forum into a cooperative message that can be copied and pasted by my members.  :(

@WascallyWabbit Holding down shift key and clicking the item to load on boats in DSF is still working fine for me, no sticky keys needed :)(using Firefox)
A rather comical bug has reappeared, every time I harvest something two of the special offers swap places :D

Well, just signed in and I see that all of my stockpiles of absolutely everything are gone. All my feed, fish, all my humus, all ss, all decos, all skins, all prizes, all gifts, all horse shoes---every darn thing. What is going on? Farm seems to be operating properly, I just have absolutely nothing to feed my ducks. :-(

@ManiB (US1)  Just log out completely, clear your browser cache and reload the game. That usually fixes the problem.  ;)

Okay,  I decided lobbing laptop into lake was not a good option. Therefore, I decided on a hard boot and reloaded newest version of Chrome (2nd time since the update).  At first blush, it looks like stuff is back (of course now that I say that, it will not be the case. lol). I have no idea why that worked, but given the dire state of my ducks I don't give a flying goat.

I have been playing using FLASH. Like a lot of folks, HTML had been nothing short of a spectacular mess for me. However, I must admit that the quality of the image is better and I do love how quickly I can load the boats and plant & harvest.  I am still having intermittent problems with structures being skewed oddly and my greenhouse wheel is nowhere to be found unless I blow the image up to max. That said, I am tentatively hopeful that this will be a good change. Oh, and kudos on the Combined Trader! That I do like, very much.

Why this link is closed and redirected to that AWFULL version of HTML5????

    https://bigfarm.goodgamestudios.com/flash

I really cannot play with HTML5 version. Grafics are causing bad headache for me and I feel sick. Please, please reactivate that version at least until next month end. I don't need there any new things you are going to add this game. Just this current version.

I find I have to copy whatever, then paste it into a word document. Then copy it from word, and paste it into whatever in the game. A pain, but it's a work around.

This is certainly no big thing but... have noticed that none of my CoOp's trees that are ready to be harvested are showing flowers. I like it when they bloom for me, keeps going around watering interesting!

  • Has flash gone now altogether?  been trying to get in and no way - it just takes me back to the unplayable html.

Just trying to sort out a laptop that might work with html - this is horrible for us alien mac users - truly horrible.

I have been playing on FLASH and this morning I logged in and I have been switched to HMTL.
There is nothing there I can click on to get back to FLASH.
I have been trying to play in HMTL and it is soooo  Slow!!
My cursor doesn't change to a pointed finger when it should or a fist when moving my screen around.
Can you help me with these problems please.
I just can't play on HMTL: just so slow.
    I'm using Microsoft Edge.

    Thank you kindly for reading...

Thanks - so they've done away with it a month earlier than they said yesterday and without fixing the issues for us mac users (and plenty of others too it would seem)  I cant play on the mac with html - it just doesn't work.  Oh well.  Guess they know what they are doing, but if customers can't play - well they're not going to be customers anymore are they!  Surely it would have made more sense to ensure everyone can still play before stopping flash altogether and retaining those customers?  Hey what do I know - my sense of business is so very different to theirs.

Edit to add: At least now I don't have to retype everything. Still no way of picking up a URL from the message and using it?

Not that I've found, unless you can again paste the link into word and try copying it back. I haven't used URLs, so I really don't know. :(
  • I realize that Adobe is going to remove support for Flash (it looks like that will be another year or so to happen fully).  What I'm confused about is why the rapid and immediate push to HTML5 when it seems Flash will be around a bit longer, and the HTML5, even after the testing and feedback stage, is buggy as hell.

The browser makers (Google, FireFox, Opera, etc.) will be getting rid of Flash long before Adobe does.  Google plans to disable Flash in Chrome in July (5 months from now) and Firefox plans to do the same in September. Microsoft is also disabling Flash in Edge and Internet Explorer in mid to late 2019 (no exact date released yet).

GGS is actually coming down to the wire, timewise, in getting HTML up and running. :)

    @Southern@"Southern (US1)"

Thank you for your reply.  I apologize if my statement was unclear.  My point was why are they removing Flash ASAP when there are still so many bugs w/HTML5.  One of the mods did mention that with the removal of Flash they can focus soley on HTML5 (re: fixes, bugs, support, etc).  That does make sense to a point.  With so many people who are having issues and not wanting to play anymore b/c it's more frustrating than fun, it doesn't make sense to me the push to immediately get rid of Flash (and the link that allowed one to still use Flash no longer works -- it takes you directly to the HTML version).  I have no background in marketing, but it seems like it would be a good idea to have the game in a more playable state than it currently is before taking away the less buggy Flash option.

I use Edge, so I see the mid to late 2019 and think that's several months that the broswer would still support Flash... it doesn't seem (to me) horribly unreasonable to keep the Flash version operable for another month.  Yes, it will add work, but GGS might lose less players if there's an alternative to the HTML until they fix more of the bugs and lag.  Respectfully, yes, the HTML is up and running, but I can get my desktop from 2007 up and running... I'd still rather not game on it.

    Just my two cents :)

The small chat window takes two minutes before it shows what you have typed.
Changing farms makes the text scroll up and it takes forever to change to the last written text.
The large chat window seems fine but then we cannot play.
All text seems grey instead of black and is hard to read.
The timer window on the right shows nothing ready for the boat or the horses or the village even though thing are ready.
Harvesting is so slow you might consider changing the name of the game to Big Snail Farm.

Many of the complaints I read here have already been reported since HTML started running. How come that they are not fixed in the past 5 months?
And then forcing HTML  upon us and within 24 hours block the standalone flashplayer from beeing used.
    I am not amused

    @WascallyWabbit @PicklePaws

Can you please advise how someone who used puffin and flash is now suppose to be able to play big farm using Chrome and HTML 5 without being able to see their whole farm or move the screen?

I am getting a bit upset that my farm is sitting there and I cannot play it.  Nobody else seems to be saying that they cannot play it except for the mac people.  There have to be more people than just me that play on their phone.

Got a positive and negative post.
First the positive - When copying in the hlml - Select the text with the cursor as usual and use the short cut key strokes CTRL and teh C key - this is copy Goto where you want the text and click the cursor into the position and use the CTRL and the V key this is paste. There are 5 or more ways to do just about anything in a Microsoft environment. Except play this game -
Now for the part that erks me - Just because Adobe is discontinuing the flash and browsers dont or wont support it is because it is not safe in the Internet environment- The GGS system is accessible from the internet but once loged in it is an environment of its own. Private or what was called Extranet In this environment it is almost impossible to hack especially if your using the flash player it is secured for privacy as part of an enterprise or business. Now for the Shocker -- { the flash coding used in this game is older than the updates} in some places I have looked it is way older - this can be proven easy enough by the fact that flash Player V. 26 and below can play flawless - as we have tested the standalone player to version 19. Meaning that after each Flash update GGS did not rewrite the code to the newest code even if discontinued by the rest of the world the flash coding could be used forever. it is the Browser that cant use the flash after discontinued support.
( Still Gone is Gone )

Now as I have examined the current coding in this html 5 I see many patches not new code some new code but a virtual write around. I have been to and asked the team over at FireFox to look and see if they could offer help -  I have no feed back after the start of November.
Some of the problems can be fixed once the coding team  can get the angles of what is happening. but in some cases it will need to be revamped. When I was at College getting my degree in Computer Science and Mathematics I also minored in Internet business Strategist  - Web Authoring - and Html - 1 - 2 - 3 - and 4.
The first rule is never trust that your tech used in the development of your site is the final authority. there are many browsers that have specific codes used to get a proper reaction. Mix in Java - C++ and Borland C++  with Server side apps and SSL calls into your Encryption your site can fail unless everyone uses the same exact computer setup and OS version you use. [S-T-O-P's ] demand you follow these guidelines

I am not saying the devs do not know how or what there doing - As Proof the Game Site is still operating and we can play the game to some sort of a degree. It is a big Ship - Patches can keep it afloat but soon your gona sound an SOS. - NOTE - from what i gather in most instances of the Complaints there coming from Windows 10 users. Not all - Next on my old Win XP with the latest  Browser supported by Fire Fox this games played flawless on both HTML and FLASH - Windows 7 ( Home and Ultimate) play very neat still some troubles.  I meant not to chastise this group or make any one angry - Boot me if you like - I mean no harm. Education and knowledge is the key to understanding all things. Patience will be the other key - I plan to try to keep playing when it gets to tough Ill take a break - I can see many bailing and some good CoOp's breaking I have seen the start. Now that you know what the GGS team is up agents and working. I proly think there pulling there hairs out and banging heads on desk - The keys are in the JAVA and Browser specific calls - go more generic all Browser conform to HTML 5,  but to remain different the coding and interpretation is a little different or there would be only one Browser Cross Plat Form. Think Frame work - Lets all Try an FARM ON!

     Thanks      Southern (US1 -

Exactly after fail yesterday I switched to teh Standalone supported by this Form

    Used this address

The performance was not only superior faster and more reliant it worked.
This is a good Idea to leave it running on flash. I have asked this before but as we all have asked for things it is slow to come - - I am glad some folks can see as I do - give the opportunity to play to as many who can and will play this is good Customer support
