feb 2018 finaly after waiting a long time volcano-farm should have launched

where is it ?
does it still exist?

level 579 and nothing to build and all objects are uppt to the max (also architect has no more work to do)
so many energy is put in to the game for new things (including bugs and long repairs)
but where is the prommised VOLCANO_FARM ?
WOW we have a deco-farm   sorry to say that in my eyes that was spoiled energy 
that energy had to be put in to the long prommised VOLCANO-FARM.

    Ya right if I would of posted this I would of gotten a lot of Grief for it from other player's, I have been waiting a long time for this Volcanic Farm, I had posted a thread for it a long time ago, but was told that they are working on it for 2019 now, there is a post bout it somewhere among these announcement posts, So I do hope We get it this time around, not sure when in 2019, but hopefully sooner then later, :) , other players want Bugs and such fixed more then a Volcano Farm, But I want the Farm :)

    • Volcano Farm (rethinking concept)

      • We have seen you asking about this topic a lot and now we would like to finally take the chance to give you an update on the fourth main farm. In the planning process we noticed that things can’t be realised quite as we intended and a rethink of the concept is required. This might take some time to put into action as we have to rethink exactly how the farm will work and tie-in with other existing features and events. As that’s the case we can’t give a specific date but we will discuss the scope of the new farm and what we intend to bring along with it when it does eventually go live.

    This has now been promised for over 18months, they were promising Volcano farm before I took 12 months off

    I really don't see how a "volcano" farm has ANYTHING to do with this game.
    So... volcano erupts, covers everything in hot lava, killing everything in it's path, then the lava cools into cold, dead, stone.

    What great fun.

    What about a farm, where you build anything that the other 3 farms already have.  There you could build a 2nd bakery, flower shop or build 1  more lavatory, build extra mills (either) or 1 of each,  If you want more cows, or pig or anything, build them or your new 'Hobby Farm'. this would be easier to tie into other farms and give lot of new ways to play the game.  Some may just turn it into another flower farm, others GF or MF or combination of all 3 the choice would be limited to imagination, plus all building already there (hopefully less bugs).  This would also make CC interesting as many players would do totally different things. Same limits on mills and barns would need to apply, I edited this after some thought, but 2 more barns would be ok.

    edit: thought of another advantage of this farm, food van and wedding planner would not need to change as players could adapt the new farm to handle impossible amount on these events.

    Actually, farms around volcano sites are among the most fertile there are. The surrounding soil and ash are full of nutrients and other good stuff. (Why do you think coffee from Hawaii is so darn tasty?)  Gardeners pay big bucks to buy truckloads of that soil for their home gardens.


    I agree, in reality volcanic islands are very fertile, but was ggs planning a volcano farm or just a volcano island ?

    I cannot quite remember, it was announced such a long time ago, but it had to do with rescuing exotic animals, some sort of zoo

     farms and zoos, seen that in other games

    Yes, animal rescue is what I recalled as well. I was just remarking on her comments that volcanic farms didn't exist in reality, but they do.

    a volcanofarm a moonfarm a bananafarm a marsmellowfarm whatever just any farmname wil do .but not a farm where we have to wait another 2 years for.
    theye prommised a extra farm (volcanofarm) and there insnt 
    o and just a normal farmplay and no goldfarm where we only can play spending lots of gold 
    the game already is goldplated enough
    there is nothing to do for me any more so i hope fourth farm wil come soon.

    Sure volcanic soil might be fertile. BUT it takes a very LONG time before lava turns into soil. 
    So I see this as "your volcano is erupting"   then about as much time to be able to play as it took to get a cat for the cat thing.  zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz  And what a huge let down that is once you get one. 


    "Animal rescue?"  They did say ISLAND didn't they?  I thought I read that somewhere.  Not going to be a lot of animals on an island.  Birds and bugs.... depending on how far the island is from any mainland MAYBE something that can hang onto driftwood or some such thing.  Not a lot.

    But wait.  This is just a game.  Where goldfish eat blue fleas.  Anything goes here.

    I still think the whole idea is just dumb. SO MANY real "farming" ideas possible, or better still, FIX what's already here.   They could do better.

    Volcanic islands sprang up from the bottom of the ocean.  Ever hear of Hawaii?  The ONLY animals that naturally lived there were birds and bugs that got there on the wing. Others came along with people much much later.

    I agree! I always thought this was a ridiculous concept when it was first announced. How about a winery instead? A berry farm? A fruit tree farm (other than apple and cherry, there are more fruits you know), a fish farm? If they just gave us more farm plots on our current farms, perhaps more levels on what already exists there, and some new crops and veggies to plant i'd be satisfied with that.

    Just because a place has a volcano doesnt mean it would lack other farmable resources... hmmm... just off the top of my thinking cap...
    Quail eggs
    Yak / Water buffalo milk
    Bat guano - for dung -  :D
    Durian trees (stinky stinky)
    Mango trees
    Papaya trees
    Kiwi trees
    Soybeans, sweet potatoes, onions, peanuts,  tea.

    //EDIT:  I do agree, this is just a game-- where I can relax and share some laughs and smiles with my fellow teammates and friends.  I always laugh when the candy farm comes around and I get to play with the alpacas.  Maybe having tigers wouldn't be so bad after all.  RRRaaaawwwrrrrrr!!!  :)

    the problem they are having, is not what they could grow or do with volcano farm, it is how to tie it in with the other farm is where the problem comes in.  That was why I posted my suggestion

    Ya I am so sure that the older player's who started this game way back when would appreciate starting over, I do not think so though, I am fairly Newer player, and I do not even want to start over, way to much work as it was the first time around, not to mention the money that was used to help develop the farms,  I am thinking that if something happens the Big Farm game that makes Everyone start over, there won't be a Big Farm game, cause most if not all will probably quit the game, which will be sad cause it is a good game when it does run without problem's, I am just basically working on My farms so far and waiting for the 4th one to show up, so hopefully nothing bad will happen to the game before then, :)

    Also, thats a very beautiful aspect with Big Farm, There is lots of room to add content/new things/develop

    As i said in another post, Dockyard is also a permanent farm ( kinda 5th )

    However, having said this I shudder when I learn they are planning to roll anything out -- you can bet your bottom dollar that it will be bug ridden, be costly, and will mess up other aspects of the game that previously worked perfectly. For that reason alone it should be put on the back burner until all old thing are fixed and new things can be produced without seeming like they were done during amateur hour. 
    I completely agree with you Artful!!!  I think a Volcano farm would be a fantastic idea for this game.  Not only would it give great fertile ground to grow things but Volcano lava is good for producing building materials because they produce rocks and minerals. Basalt and Diabase are quarried in the northeast and northwest states. Most of the basalt and the diabase is used for crushed stone: concrete aggregate, road metal, railroad ballast, roofing granules ect..High grade diabase and basalt is used in concrete shields of nuclear reactors and some diabase is used for black granite. These are only some of the great things volcanos can produce. I'm very excited to see how GGS implements their ideas! 

    So Artful is right, there is so much we can do. I heard it once said that we cannot change our past but this isn't true. we can change it by the way we view it.  Artmaker, change the way you view this little thing and you just might change your perspective on the outcome on this new farm and actually enjoy the experience...

    ps..artful...bugs make my skin crawl too....

    "Seeker1 (US1)" Said The horse ranch is technically the 4th permanent farm... if you would even consider it a farm/ranch (since it doesn't require any workers or depend on happiness for operating costs).    I sometimes wonder why the horse ranch is underdeveloped.    We could build workers houses, grow hay and oats as crops, green apple and pear orchards, collect dung from the horses, provide grasslands as grazing areas (regular sized, and 'gold' fertile-sized); maybe add sheep, goose or pheasant if milk and eggs is needed.   Fancy houses, water towers, nurseries, and workshops cost gold to build too!   Think of the gold usage. hmmm (hint-hint, wink-wink at GGS)    I agree with Seeker1 (US1) this is a great idea for the Horse Ranch

    You are some what correct. This area is still in the developing stages. I'm sure you have notice the large rectangle that looks like it needs to be built yet.There has been rumors that this will become a trade center 4 player to sell & trade horses. But we'll see . . . maybe 1 day lol

    I've also suggested an idea of a rock quarry to further develop the mining system of the horse ranch.  Yet I think the village edge plants now provide a system of giving rocks and sand... But what about other precious minerals / metals / gemstones?
