No. That event has been canceled. Likely permanently.

Please, Please Bring back the Santa's Wish List.
I notice it helps co ops First everyone ask what it is, then when you explain it they all get excited, Then I notice even the quiet ones in the co op start to talk, ask question, and have fun. I do think you are wrong in getting rid of this, because we are getting tired of the CC every week. And now no new farm.
  • There is also no snow on our farms. It is a lonely sad Christmas.

Couldn't agree more Terri8 - of all the things to be cancelling, Santa's Wish List should definitely not be one of them. This is a great event which really brings coops together and everyone gets involved, and you're not under pressure having to compete with other coops which is what most of the events are these days. This is not a new event so there shouldn't be any bugs. More likely people weren't spending enough gold and that's why it was cancelled ....  :(

Maybe you missed the hundreds of people who complained about that event every year it's been run.  It was buggy, it never worked right, it made Co-Op leaders kick people out of their Co-Ops (for fear that people that didn't participate in the event spoil the event for everyone else), it upset people who wanted to complete their lists on their own and instead had Co-Op members complete their lists FOR them.. There are/were a ton of problems with this event, and I doubt you'll find more than a small handful of people (especially Co-Op Leaders) who aren't tickled PINK that we're not having this buggy event to stress us out over Christmas.

While I realize that many players loved the Santa's Wishlist event, there was a great many players who disliked the event. I was among the latter. It was poorly structured in that the number of items asked for was very demanding and required a great deal of time to complete. The timing for such an event was terrible because at this time of year people want to spend time with their friends and family and not spend all day chained to a computer. There were other problems with the event such as chapters ending early and coops losing all progress for the week. And if a player started their list at the last minute and their fellow coop members couldn't finish that players list for them, all the efforts of the coop for the week was lost too.  :'(  People were really stressed out and angry by this. Not good.  ;)  Just read through the discussion thread for the event and you'll see what I mean. I had my coop opt out of the event both years it was run and we had a very relaxing holiday season. I feel it was one of the best decisions I've ever made as coop leader.  :)

After the first year, our coop opted out, too, and we welcomed Christmas Visitors (LOL) who needed refuge from their own coops until the event had run its course.

I agree with you, there were a lot of bugs in it. I have played it for 2 years, my worry is, this has been cancelled, the twins are cancelled and I am not sure we will see the volcano farm.

  • Lol looks like i'm outvoted then. Well it was just an opinion and can only speak from personal experience. Yes I remember bugs last year (we were compensated I think?) but from memory thought it had run fine the year before.
I thought it was just something different to break up the humdrum and repetitive nature of other events we see, and as mentioned before we were not, for once, having to compete against other coops which brings its own pressures.
But there we are, that's that, it ain't going on so no more to be said.

Speaking for myself and most members in my co-op, we are very happy to see the wish list gone. It put to much presure on co-op members because most people have way better things to do 3 weeks befor Christmas than all that harvesting.
