My issue isn't the frequencies of CC's and Village Fairs.......it all comes down to one thing to me, are the rewards for these 2 events worth the effort? CC is a resounding NO! Most rewards are mediocre at best and it has all gone downhill since GGS started using this stupid "dynamic" word. reality check, you haven't made gaming more dynamic, you simply made the events suck! If you are going to overload us with events make the prizes worth our time.

Village Fair as it is right now is so/so when it comes to rewards. The hard work rewards are a bit average but there is gold towards the end and thats a good thing. The ranking rewards are also good. Now they are claiming the VF isn't a finished product and it will be adjusted so my assumption is the good rewards will be taken away and replaced with junk!

I never thought I would say this but I prefer the CCs over the village fair any day.  The rewards seem even worse for the village fair than the dismal serving up for the CC and it least I can use a little strategy to win missions, rather than the endless long term crops that we cant possible complete without gold or seaweed in the village fair. I can see so much potential in the fair - much more time choices and less monotony of the same items over and over in the short challenges.  As it is it makes me cringe every time I hear the name.

My apologies @CM_Hunter , that was in no way aimed at you or any of the fabulous moderators who are all doing a great job keeping us informed and resolving problems. I was purely thinking of your senior management who control the company's policies and read the balance sheets.
4 years ago, when I started playing this game, I pitted my wits against its intricacies, finding effective strategies to enable me to grow my farms. Nowadays I spend 5 days a week competing with other players and It's not getting any better.
Don't worry John, I never take it personally! Criticism is a huge part of what we do and every word on this forum tells us a story. Thanks for sharing yours ;)

I'd be happy to hear some suggestions that might make the rewards more attractive, we try to take a look at these fairly regularly so if you have some ideas do pass them on and I'll add it to my notes for you.
  • Here's a thought - there are around 4 weeks in each month.  So, week 1 run a cc, week 2 the village fair, week 3 CHWE and leave week 4 blank for people to upgrade/build etc  Thats still 3 co-op events a month (which I still think is a bit on the high side but do-able) Players need some time to collect stocks, upgrade and the like to make the events playable.  What is the point of having all these 'wonderful' (ahem) events if no-one can play them?

Useful prizes : super humus/feed/fertilizer, seaweed humus/feed/fertilizer, gml's, gold flower seeds, special seed for farm items (not boat items), water, build time reductions, deco parts in decent quantities, irish chickens, tropical pigs, tropical cows ................ loads more but not premium feeds and/or humus - we can make that easily enough, nor ordinary feeds - again we can make that easily enough - make the rewards something we covet and are achievable - not 72 gazillion, billion, million and 3 gets you one gml.

I think 1 week a month free of coop events is a great idea.

    Dear Mods,

At 07:00 pm the cooperative wheel of fortune appeared. Timer shows more than 11 hours, but today evening the CC event will finish at 10:30 pm.

Strange having the wheel here long after CC finishes.

Yup, guess that 1,000,000 RP for 1st place won't be helping anyone this go around. :)
  • that's the greatest idea i've ever heard :) we all need time to upgrade and just grow our farms in genereall but it's kind of hard to do that when you have 3 non-stop events going on at the same time.
  • Hi Guys,

Yes we did notice the CC WoF was outstaying its welcome,it was too late to do anything about it & a weekend too - We will send Hunter to give evil stares to the scheduler on Monday.  o:)

It starts a nice look, then it becomes an evil stare! I've let the guys know, we apologise for any issues it caused and we'll do our best to make sure it doesn't happen like this again ;)

Personally. I thought it was an improvement.  Everybody got the place they had earned rather than getting bumped down out of the blue which I find very demoralising.

According to the CC timer on the US server, the CC now ends in 10 1/2 hours. Why the change?
  • Lylu (INT1)Lylu (INT1) INT1 Posts: 448
The end time has not changed  since the start of this run, but I too noticed that the duration this time is approximately 12 hours shorter than it has been in the past.

In my opinion the good rewards are time reduction boosters, colored mystery boxes, tokens, seaweed, event seeds, goldflowers and of course GML's. I understand you are reluctant to have too much gold up for grabs as rewards in events because it may affect gold sales but I don't understand why collectibles, water, regular feeds and regular mining certs (basically things we can obtain in a few minutes farming normally) are considered good rewards for events like the CC. Even something a simple as farm dollars.replacing these rewards is an improvement, by farm dollars I mean 5 million +.

Back to the gold rewards issue, non-gold buyers winning gold may even improve gold sales because it will increase/encourage competition with golders.....make them work a bit harder for that win. Hope that answers your question Hunter, I am a fan of the game (been here 5 years +) and want it to continue but things need to change.

Thanks for fixing this: Cooperative points for the worldwide championship not awarded at the end of the Co-op Championship.

It's a question of variety and goals, if we took out the lower value prizes entirely then there would not be as many reward steps in most cases and the gaps between rewards would be much larger. For me, in my entirely personal opinion, I like having the steps there with the slightly lower value rewards between because even though some of those items can be gotten on the farm it's a nice sense of achievement that a stepping stone was reached. I look forward to the more valuable rewards of course but generally speaking I think a good curve has peaks and troughs rather than a flat upwards trend. The latter is certainly simpler but the former just feels nicer to me. Maybe you have a different opinion there but for me the smaller rewards make the bigger ones even more worth when you do finally hit a mystery box or GML in the reward line. Having said that though, the feedback about the rewards you like and don't like are super helpful and valuable so thanks for taking the time!

I have an idea. I understend both points of view. It is nice to get something little in between more worth rewares, but most players do not look at it that way. They expect gradually increasing price system. So what about some simple colorcoding or similar, to distinguish "good revards" from "in between" ones. In this way, it will be also easier to discuss the "worth" and "wothless" rewards.

Another idea is: we now have events with rewards and events with some kind of currency. And there is an invasion of those currencies lately. So why not unite everything. We would have only one revard in (mostly) all events - some kind of coins for which we would be able to buy different things from a permanent vendor. Something like WWC  coins, just a more sophisticated vendor (or a shop, more likely) that will be more elaborate and have everything in its shop. Some of the rewards would be obtainable with only a coins, while for others, you would need a differnt kind of tickets that can be gained only on a specific event (for rewards that are ment to be obtainable only for a specific event). Such system would be more organised, would be in long term easier to control and would alow for a better feedback as it would be easier to understand. Sometimes the feature is receaved negatively because players misunderstand the meaning or the idea behind it.

If its supposed to start at a certain time then that is the time it should start, Why wait for the tent to appear before you start missions? It should start on time when the clock disappears. It is down to ggs when they have stated a time and a date to make sure it happens on time.

It hasn't started "on time" in about 6 months, is the point I think @uksharon (GB1) is making. :)  It's been at least 15-30 minutes late every time for months now.

This one's just going to be a bit later than normal. :)

Yep that is one of the points @uksharon is trying to make, but also that there was an update on the forum stating that the CC was not starting until the next day after the update has been done.
