  • Did I read it right that the twins are going away?  If so how will one be able to redeem the karma points?  Please tell me if I am wrong.  I want to understand the trick or treat part that is going away.
It is my sincere hope that only the Trick or Treat Event is not going to be run, and they do not mean the Naughty or Nice Shop is going away.
We absolutely need a moderator to clarify this for us please.

    1) So it's just the event, and not the Naughty or Nice Shop, correct?
2)The Naughty or Nice Shop, what most players refer to as 'The Twins' IS a heavily used feature by most players!
    3) Please clarify if it's the Trick or Treat Event building only; and I for one, was looking forward to that event for months now  :'(

after the update, i can start an upgrading of mf, although another is already going at candy farm.
i didn't have enough construction token either.

did they free permanent farms from the shackle of island farms?

if its intentional, it's really good news, and reasonable too. Island farm adds nothing to the progress of permanent farms. So it should not have right to slow down the progress either.

:/:/ but i fear it's another bug. they have no record of doing anything good intentionally so far.
Beware, this has to be a bug. I "lost" the timer for my Viking Duck upgrade on the GF. Tested and could rebuild a Panda deco.

No way they separated building timers on all farms intentionally and failed to mention it. I treat all unmentioned changes as bugs.
I already made two upgradation of laboratory using huge dollars. Do you think the laboratory will be downgraded after they fix the bug? I wonder whether they'll refund the money.  :/:/
  • Tried the soccer grass - had one ...didn't help the issue.  Neither did clearing the cache.

If you have any soccer grass in storage, you have to plant it on one of your regular farms, that will clear up your fields on Candy Farm.
    Thank-you.  That worked

why no goldfish in pond  ...plenty of food
  • is there any info about extra construction slots ?
i can do a construction on my main farm / gourmet / flower / fishing farm.
and i can parallel make a construction on my candy farm too.
is it just a bug or do we have an extra slot for candy farm ?

In my co-op the players who HAD ( they are gone after fix) dishes from last Oktoberfest are having these issues.  Members who have never played or had no leftover dishes report no issues.

We have just added this additional information to the announcement:

We have managed to confirm some information for you that we will add the treats to an all new trader in December and you will again be able to get them from a store using your karma points as well as getting them from events in which they are already included. What better time for giving gifts than the feast of old St. Nic?!

Basically the "tricks/pranks" will no longer be available & the event building/naughty or nice shop, whatever you call it, will no longer appear in the carpark at your farm. Between now & December you can still win gifts (treats) in events & you will still collect & keep your karma points, then in December, the new trader will start selling gifts only.

So BOTH the Trick or Treat Event, AND the Naughty or Nice Shop are gone. wow. Very sad to hear this.
Thanks for answering so quickly Wabbit.

To say the Twins (Naughty & Nice) were not heavily used is a joke.

You couldn't visit anybodys farm without seeing something on their farms having been sparked by somebody to help boost their output. Very nice feature to help fellow co-op members in need of higher output... It (sparking/treat) was also a nice way to say "thank you" to people inside, as well as outside of your immediate co-op. Now pranking/tricks could go away, as it served zero purpose, but apparently it's all or none with GGS.

To take it away without notice and tell us karma "might" be worth something 3 months from now is a terrible way to handle it.

I'm still holding out a tiny bit of hope that there's some confusion here.

There is a once a year event called 'Trick or Treat' where we can purchase gifts/pranks at reduced prices.

There is the more frequent appearance of the 'Naughty or Nice Shop' where the twins offer us the chance to buy, or turn in karma points for gifts/pranks, which appears before our cooperative events.

Hate to bother you once more @WascallyWabbit but could you verify again? We just are so hopeful it's just the annual 'Trick or Treat' event that's cancelled.  :(

To take away the twins is a terrible idea. Sparkling is a major part of keeping coops together -- a daily "hello," a thank you for a job well done, a welcome to new members, and of course, integral to CCs.  It also is a great way to make new friends outside of the coop -- sparkling to thank someone who helped you in the Forum, or just giving a boost to someone you're in a mission with.

It seems like everything that's been rolled out or changed has been detrimental to coops in some way -- incessant CCs, Village Fair, etc. I think your old Scrooge of a manager has decided that sparkles cut back on gold sales in some way. Make the game fun again, listen to players, and cut back on events if you want to see gold sales increase.

I am not able to plant anything on the candy farm either apart from the last crop, and planting a soccer field did not make any difference

They are busy working on fixing the sugar fields problem.

In the meantime, if you are very anxious to plant something other than the last type of product, get rid of ALL the soccer grass seeds you still have in inventory.
For eg. I still had 3 left over just now and as soon as I had planted them (and they're not even harvested yet), the candy fields problem cleared up.

no leftovers from oktoberfest 2017 either ?

  • Sorry I have got some soccer seeds. Planted one lot but made no difference. Will try again.
  • @SallyannFarmer (GB1)

you need to get rid of them all, for this workaround to be effective.

@Sheila NOLA Gal (US1)  "Trick or Treat" is really just the Halloween version of "Naughty or Nice", so I would think that as the regular Naughty & Nice is now gone, the other one would be too, but I will get that confirmed 100% for you tomorrow.

as the recipes involved in Oktoberfest last year were loss-making if you just sold them through management, I still have some of those products left over from the previous event.

With the change to the products, will the oktoberfest products in my inventory still be usable or not?
Ok so, in one sense this question has been answered ... as after the update all those dishes went poof.

Kicking myself as now I am wishing I had sold them so at least I could've got the dollar value ....

Wow, no more sparklies??  You guys seriously are trying to get everyone to quit, right?  I mean, that IS the ultimate goal with the changes you are making?  To take all the fun and ability to accomplish anything without gold out of the game, so that people just leave?

Doubt Village Fair will work without them.... we had fun with the first one in our group, yelling "My apples are ready, who's got sparklies?".... guess we won't bother with it now.... we already pretty much ignore Coop challenge and only a couple people play the silos, without sparklies, they just increased dramatically in difficulty too.

May I make a serious request?  Would you PLEASE ask the person that makes these decisions to play the freaking game for a week?  Because I don't think he (or she) could buy a clue about what makes the game enjoyable with a $199.00 pack of gold at this stage.

A game should be fun, not frustrating.... I know they both start with "F", but they are different.... look them up if you need the reminder.
