Not a nice way to begin an event. Shame,!

And why have all events shifted to 2 am CEST?

No wonder so many people are burnt out on them, and they are not fun anymore. SERIOUSLY, you need to rethink how often we have these, I thought the Village Fair was supposed to take up some of that slack and not give us so many CC's after it came out.

GGS promised to introduce the village fair and at the same time reduce the number of CCs, but they can't help it can they, so now we get both CCs and village fair packed together in the same time frame
GGS executives should be forced to play these events themselves, especially the village fair which is a load-of-c r a p - type of event, maybe they'll wake up and start counting the leavers

you and I seem to have a language barrier?
In the same time frame doesn't mean simultaneously, it means in a set period of time
We used to have 3 - 4 CC / month before the village fair was introduced, and now guess what we have in the "same time frame" (of a month) ? 3-4 CCs - AND - a couple returns of the village fair
I hope that clears the doubts
There has been no reduction in cc's, and they keep on adding more and more events too - all of which are bugged beyond bugged - this game is supposed to be just that - a game - for relaxation and enjoyment. Too many events has spoiled it for many and continues to spoil it for the rest of us die-hards.
I've lost count how many times players have asked for less - but they take no notice whatsoever and just carry on with their blinkered vision of what makes a game successful. CM Hunter acknowledged that they know the players want new events released more slowly and bug free so I truly cannot understand the GGS business mindset.
Imagine the players as diners in a 1st rate cafe - surrounded by all wonderful cakes of every variety. They'd eat one and want more, they'd eat two and say that was lovely but I've had enough - now imagine the waiting staff continually bringing over more and more and more until the table was full and they ended up putting them on the spare surrounding seats, on the customers lap, even on the floor - would the customer be happy or think 'enough of this' and walk away? There GGS is your answer.
And, yes, we can choose to skip them, but human nature being what it is, and not wanting to drop in the rankings, make many coops feel that they have no choice but to keep trudging on. Our coop is very laid back and participation in any event is voluntary, and still we are losing members who are leaving the game because it's a "stress fest" and not the relaxed farming game it is supposed to be. And if forum posts are anything to go by, it's even worse for competitive coops.
Hate coops but missing out on the benefits? Check out "Hearts of Gold," the non-coop coop -- we leave you alone to farm your way. No donations or group participation required.

@CM_Hunter
The village fair lasts 7 days, 2 of these nonsense event each month are the equivalent of 14 days, that's half the monthly time during which you are asking us to keep clicking for no reason but see your name and your coop name in a ranking
CC lasts 4 days and when you (in theory) replace 2 CC (lasting 4 days) with 2 VFs (lasting 7 days) you have overall increased the pressure that players complain about, a million times all sorts of players have come to forum to explain they want a more relaxed schedule
Anyway we start with 3 CCs this month, VF might not be in full swing as you say but we still get it twice in a month, oh and lets not forget the coop HWE... to fill all the remaining days of the month
Or you just find that people disappear during the CC's and then reappear when they are over.
They don't care, they are making more money than they were before
Players are leaving the game - They don't care, they are making more money than they were before
Remaining players are unhappy - They don't care, they are making more money than they were before
It's no longer relaxing - They don't care, they are making more money than they were before
etc
etc
etc
This thread is a waste of time - They don't care, they are making more money than they were before
I don't receive bonuses based on how much the game makes, my motivation in my job is to ensure that you players are heard, that your thoughts and ideas are directly considered in the daily process of developing and maintaining the game. A side benefit of that can be some good sales numbers but it is by far and away not the greatest motivation I have to be doing what I do. I care about this game and this community, and the team cares too. When things go wrong it does affect us, when players are angry or upset we do feel it.
I will take this feedback to the team of course and see what can be done, but I had hoped that with the various items on the recently released upcoming highlights would show that we are developing the game with the players directly in mind. We managed to get some long-requested points into our development plan, even adding more points that you guys requested and re-evaluating certain choices based on your feedback. We can't do it all, and we can't do it all at once, but we certainly care a great deal!
4 years ago, when I started playing this game, I pitted my wits against its intricacies, finding effective strategies to enable me to grow my farms. Nowadays I spend 5 days a week competing with other players and It's not getting any better.
