Perhaps (we can only hope) that the expert game designers have worked out a way to enable more COOPs to win more seaweed (instead of just one getting the majority).  Now wouldn't that be fun? :)

Its up to the coops to participate or not participate, designers cant come and play to help you I am afraid

The designers however can program a logic game which is fun and flows properly, and so far they are not doing a great job, they rather seem to wipe off things too easily without looking at consequences other than gold sales

No designers can re-balance a game when there is an in-balance.

The way the village league/hill was caused an in-balance as huge amounts of medals were only available to 1 team (nothing to do with skill/logic or tactics).  This made massive amount of seaweed available to the minority.

Could I see there was an in-balance (hell yes), did it bother me (not really), do I recon the game could get far more interesting depending on what changes are made - Hell yes!

    Happy gaming :)

    needless to say, I disagree

imbalance is the word you were looking for  :-)

I see the medals (or any other currency with associated shop to use them) as a much better reward for ALL events than any deco or farm product, collection item, which we gain over and over, time after time in events which are as frequent as CC HWE or even the VL for the matter.
I have explained this in a previous post.

Assuming there was an imbalance, which is not the case, wiping the medals out is not a solution, adjusting their ratio to re-balance would be a solution, but this is not being done.

Same happened to the catalyzers, precious, rare etc, they have been removed completely, no event gives them.  Would they be useful ? Of course they would, we could produce WoF tokens, farm cash and gold in the laboratory

but hey... not anymore, change of plans, catalyzers forgotten, medals forgotten, more will be forgotten soon. This is not in the name of re-balance, its in the name of gold sales

So does the VILLAGE FAIR start after the goldfish ends?

Of course you disagree as this re-balance will see PO the biggest loser of seaweed (on UK server).

Anyway my bed is calling.  Night be careful not to stub your toe on your Gumball deco on your way.

    ;)

@Piebaldsparkle (GB1) after this last display of total lack of sportsmanship, I will put an imaginary "ignore" on your posts full of nonsense

There should be real "ignore" buttons on this forum, now that would be a good piece of programming for GGS

There is, go into your settings, you will find the ignore player feature.  Nothing against you Pie, just helping a fellow player understand the forum.

    Thank you @SuzyQ22 (US1)  and @Southern (US1)  much appreciated

  • So, @WascallyWabbit, when the new type of VL event does start, will we see a "chuckwagon" in the vendors' lot, or will it be at the Village?
@FarmerCli (US1) In the Village, on the hills where the league used to be, there will eventually be Village Fair buildings relating to the leagues, but they will not be there when the event first starts.

The entrance to the event will appear in the parking lot on your main farm.

so the 'update' has happened... WTF did they do to the Manual fishing?????

@DrHardware (US1)  Your post would be more productive if you explained what was wrong with the fishing, rather than cussing. Thankyou @SuzyQ22 (US1)  for explaining about the line snapping, I see the progress bar is suddenly jumping to the end on some fish & it has been reported - In the meantime, if you watch the bar, you can see when it starts moving fast & if you release the mouse button, you can prevent the line from snapping, it seems to be ok when you click again (until the next time it happens).

If you release the progress bar soon enough.  I lost many fish because it would not respond soon enough.  Even had the occasion of getting the fish caught, out of the water, and reeled in, then the line snapped there.  So, avoiding any fishing right now, lol.

Well, in another forum, WTF stands for What the Fred (Fred being the term used for the other), WTH stands for What the Heck, and OMG stands for Oh My Gosh. For as long as I can remember, WTF has been an acceptable term here. (He also could be welcoming us to Finland. LOL.)

We have moderators to police the forum, right?

Cursing is in the mind of the beholder. You see only what you expect to see. Peace.

No, don't be cheeky and  tell us that WTF, OMG, etc, can stand for other non offensive language.
We all know what the three letter acronyms stand for.  Trying to soften it,  by  arguing that that those letters could mean something else, is just unhelpful, wrong.   Language like that is not appreciated, but I'll not flag anyone if that is how they want to speak.

However, I unfortunatly have just flagged you, because authorising, authenticating and encouraging that type of language, I think is not acceptable.

As Suzy said this is Just me and my opinion.  Peace.
  • We got what we wanted with the ship being fixed before adding new components, so thank you for that. We do appreciate that because it made more sense to us. Sorry if I seemed too frustrated, BUT I WAS...and now I'm Happy!!!

Well, a long, long (long) time ago, we were told by the CM (not our current CM and long before there were moderators) that WTF and WTH were okay to use in the forums. (You have only to type in WTF in the forum search engine to see what I mean.)

I felt like the player who used the term was being called out and shamed when the use has, heretofore, been told it was okay, and also very prevalent.

If we are no longer allowed to use these abbreviations or any other euphemisms, then the policy change needs to be clearly stated and uniformly enforced, don't you think? And it's up to the moderators to make these policy changes and to police the forum.

As for flagging, that is only supposed to be used when someone is being vile or vulgar ... and I was neither. Just making comments and stating my opinion very respectfully as SuzyQ has doneNot sure what world you live in where polite disagreement is "flag worthy." I certainly wouldn't want to live there.

It's a gross misuse of flagging simply because you don't agree with someone, or have an axe to grind with them, and is also against the guidelines.

The language thing is getting us WAY off topic and I blame YOU, Suzy. You better start counting girl, because you KNOW the word I'm about to start saying. ( it won't get you into any trouble though , I'll just add the shingles to Santini's total)  LOL

Yes, I called out the player, simply because of the forceful post, without any explanation of what the problem was, just forceful cussing included in the post.  So, since I did start it, let's stop it right here and now.  Peace.

Nice, Suzy. Very cool of you.
So what IS our topic?  It was supposed to be the village fair but it's turned into "Things the VF Update Broke" so maybe don't listen to me.

    I'll bite.

What do you think your coop is strongest in?  That is what the VF will be about, right?  So, where do you think you stand in that sense?

Why do people nowdays write LOL instead of hahahaha ....

    Anyways ....

I just had 1 question  .... those gumball decorations which gave +50% more medals ..... GGS sold them to players and now made them redundant .....

What if the next thing you know is.... GGS sold kites for rps , and later changed the CC and made those kites decos redundant too ....

So, its like people spent money or wwc coins or gold, or whatever to buy something and now the rules of the game has been changed .... Gumball decos are no longer going to do anything good ????

  • SuzyQ22 (US1)SuzyQ22 (US1) US1 Posts: 1,475
Hahahaha, because it's easier to LOL.  :p

I don't understand any of the stuff about gumball machines though, was that a coop thing only?
  • What is happening with challenges that are going on now?  we just got challenged by the usual coop that always loses even though nobody actively does anything other then regular farming. Will this challenge end with the update?
@GoldenrodFarm (US1) What is "supposed" to happen, is that you should be able to complete the challenge & get the result pop-up, with your medals, which will allow you access to the shop to spend them. However, the team are not sure exactly which things will disappear, so, for example, when the wagons disappear, will you also lose the tab below the next harvest timers? - in which case you would not be able to see the current scores in the challenge & you would just have to wait for the pop-up to see who won ... A blind challenge might be fun lol

As you are just doing the challenge through normal farm activity, it can`t do any harm, just see what you have after the wagons disappear from the village & hopefully win the last of the medals :)
So the challenge disappeared, but did not finish, so is it out there somewhere still adding up?

Gold why gold for the boosters.

You have made this unfair for most people who dont use gold at all or only if they win gml's as rewards.
This fair is going to be so unfair. I was looking forward to this fair not so much anymore.
You should have made the booster with farm dollars as well.
Or is that what GG is all about now is gold.
Im slowly losing interest in this game if thats what it is all about.
  • rsny (US1)rsny (US1) US1 Posts: 2,294
Well I wont be buying the boosters.

I'll just be farming normally and have fun with a lower score.
  • This is no fun. We are stuck not being able to farm things until you do the update. Have you noticed we don't already have the speed fertilizer and it takes hours to make cherries and other orchard items? We need them ready for the fair and you have just tied our hands for any farming until it starts. Please give us a specific time for the update. I know you don't want to be held to a time, but we want to farm.

I'm farming normally. We probably plan to avoid Orchard challenges to start with to avoid the problem and build up a stock of speed fert
