Ok, some time yesterday morning the event said 3 some hours to go.  Figured I was done.
Later... it said 3 something hours to go.  ????

NOW it says three DAYS?   What's going on with it?
Different event. If you look at the events calendar, you'll see the CHWE started immediately after the HWE.

Yea figured it out.   I don't use their calendar though.  I like surprises.

You've come to the right place, then. :)
  • What the heck!  A GML is 20,400,000 points, this is completely insane!

I have now stopped using seaweed, gifts, etc.  I WILL NOT USE GOBS OF GOLD for this worthless event.
    20 million points, so sad:(

20 Million points isn't even *possible*, it would require 67 Points Per Second from the 1st second of the event.
We calculated the top reward would require 91.5pps for the entire event, which is even more crazy - We have reported it & asked if it was some sort of mistake - I hope it was lol :/

I'm okay on the FHWE, no problem with anything, even with the hotfix.  That is a feat in itself.  Has it corrected itself yet?

I am personally very disappointed that the quality of hard work rewards is still very low and are clearly not worth the effort required to obtain them. Many items that used to be more accessible such as seaweed items, mystery boxes and gold mining licenses are now either not available in many events or are incredibly difficult to obtain. These rewards currently give little incentive to aim for a high score. In my opinion, this is a very bad move since there is no longer any incentive for many players to use extra resources such as seaweed or gold to get higher scores in these events anymore.

Please improve these rewards as soon as possible, at the moment they are ruining the enjoyment of many events and they do not motivate players to get better scores, even in a lot of cases they cause players to lose interest in the events.

and once we lose interest in the events it can't be that long before we lose interest in the game and go and find something else to spend our money on !!
  • It seems to me that it has become even harder work, I don;t remember so many short term crops rearing their heads in a HWE before, I have a constant round of alfalfa, turnip, wildflowers and corn, with an occasional egg thrown in and that is only about an hour.  There used to be apples that would take you overnight, there was one milk but it slipped by and was replaced with wildflowers the next time I logged on.  I really don't sit in front of the computer 24 hours a day pounding my fingers harvesting corn, or alfalfa, at least the corn is useful, the alfalfa and turnip is a waste of time and effort to sell for nothing.

I had the same thing on my mind.  It seems to be set up to use gold to pass just to get to something long play.  I don't bother to pass with gold, I don't care if it sits for hours on end while I sleep.  It is not worth the effort, or supplies to keep the silo going.  I don't buy gold anyway, so I am sure not going to use what little I can save without losing it to one of those well placed gold loss buttons.

The crates are pretty well random, some HWE you will get a good selection, other times they will be awful .
However , I think the rewards this time have been the worst yet . Given the resources needed , this event will be going on my ignore list unless the rewards improve.
That ignore list is getting pretty long...… :/  :/  :/

I have a complaint!!!! Why yesterday, in the evening, it was showing that after eggs I will be asked to collect dandelions but toooooday machine ask me to collect flowers?! I planted dandelions everywere...I demand compensation!!
  • I was supposed to be doing cabbage, but this morning after planting 7 fields of special cabbage last night no cabbage in sight just wildflowers and eggs.  This happens with every HWE
  • NormaHelen (US1)NormaHelen (US1) US1 Posts: 262
It happens with every hard worker. At least 2 or 3 times the conveyor belt gets reset. This is one thing that really needs to be fixed.
  • SuzyQ22 (US1)SuzyQ22 (US1) US1 Posts: 1,475
Still giggling about that donut dog, lol.  Can't get enough of that!
  • I find since the merger, the silo points don't add up properly.
The number of points needed for prizes is way out of line for prizes obtained.
Prizes are not worth the extreme effort to obtain.
We use to get seaweeds, rakes, ghost rods, brushes etc.
Now just about everything has a purchase for gold attached to it.
It might be easy for game Techs to sit at a PC all day, they get paid to do it.
Most of us farmers have to work, take care of our families & need our life.
Back to back challenges is taking the fun out of farming.
Now that the silo has become so unfair, won't be playing it again.

Current CHWE in the 65 ~ 99 group has a top prize at 35,000,000. According to my calculations and I would be happy to stand corrected, it would take 31 days, 3 hours 51 minutes and 48 seconds running at level 10 with a plus 3 bonus from the very start  to achieve. And the prizes aren't worth it. As I type, with just under 17 hours to go, the leader is running at 2.3 million and I am in 3rd place with 1.3 million. Any chance we can achieve that 35 million. I consider myself a reasonable player with too much time spent on the game. God help anyone who has a lesser farm and not as much time as me.

With all the bugs in this game (I recently won a 24 hour timer that didn't work and GGS want to blame my computer and cache for that), if it wasn't for the very good friends I have made in here, I would be gone. Time GGS woke up and smelt the roses.

    4 Days / 96 Hours
    96 Hours * 60 Minutes = 5,760 Minutes
    5,760 Minutes * 60 Seconds = 345,600 Seconds  per event

35,000,000 Million Points needed / 345,600 Seconds = 101 Points Per Second required from the instant the event starts.

And that's if the event was 96 hours long - which it's not.

So to reach 35,000,000 points, you would realistically need somewhere around 130 PPS from the very start of the event and maintain that for 3+ days straight.

It's pretty much impossible, even if you were to buy the 70% Boosters from the Booster Shop at a cost of $Billions of Farm Dollars and $Millions in Gold.

It is possible, you need to collect about 25 bonus points per day and use a 100+% booster. It is very difficult though, I haven't personally done it but I have heard of another player that has successfully reached 35 million points before.

I find it difficult to believe that someone has achieved this 35 Million In such a short time??? Imagine the amt of gold & Billions of farm dollars they used if they did achieve this..  (Any screen shots NH??) Just about to finish CHWE & so over it

Same here......I can't imagine anyone getting close to 35 million points and if they did I can't imagine why they would bother? Its a decoration.......nothing special about the reward at all.

It is a 100% booster combined with individual and cooperative boosters, in this case this player was running 60% personal (50% dollars and 10% gold) and 40% cooperative boosters. They collected the bonus point every time from wildflowers, alfalfa, corn, eggs and milk. This was done when the 35 million point reward was a 4x4 decoration that gives 120 happiness and 100 storage, which is much better than the other decorations that are available at the moment. I was going to attempt to collect it too, but it has now been replaced with much worse decorations, so there is no real point in trying to reach that target when the reward is no longer worthwhile.

    Yeah, I echo that sentiment.

The amount of Seaweed, farm dollars and gold to reach that 35 Million points must have been astronomical.  Maxxing out 25 products a DAY?  I'm lucky to max out 3-4 products for the entire EVENT. lol. :)
  • I really don;t get why all events have to be impossible unless you live in a game world, and have tons of extra cash to spend on virtual items.  I can't see that the rewards are even worth a mild effort, I am at the point that I start events with the expectation of never finishing any of them.   HWE of any kind  just run in the background and I may get to 100,000 points, weekly events are now impossible for me at level 3, wondering how long I will stay now.

I'm on GB! so I can't see your farm @GoldenrodFarm (US1)  but I do remember having some difficulties doing events at lvl 3. I ended up developing the farm specifically to let me do them. 3 years later and lvl 5 just does itself in the background while I just farm normally  :¬D

  • I am level 93, I guess I have a well developed farm, always upgrading, but what is very irritating is that we are forced into level 3 and I rarely finish a level 3 event.  I am not spending gold to finish an event, this game is just too unstable to support with gold with the constant bugs, lags, and getting kicked out of the game.  When you realistically look at the goals many of them take days each unless you are online all the time or use gold.  The drops are a miserable rate, look at the seashell drops, you can plant wheat and wait for hours for a 93% chance of getting 0 drops, all of the special seeds give you a 75% chance of getting 0.  That is kind of eyeopening.

Lots and lots of fast crops get you the most of the drops.  Short run cows, pigs, chickens, etc will give more drops too.  But yeah, way too many hours to finish a level 3 are needed to complete it.

    Have you seen this?

and, if it's any consolation, once you've done an event at level 3 you can, from then on, choose the level you want to play.

Well not quite. One must do it twice to earn both decos and build them on a farm in order to be able to choose a level above or below once it comes around again ;)
