THOUSANDS ATTEND FASHION SHOW!
The largest gathering of Big Farmers ever recorded arrived to attend the first annual banquet and fashion show to benefit the Big Farm Dog Lovers Association, a non-profit organization that rescues dogs from abandoned farms about to be deleted. The arriving guests made their way into the banquet hall and found before them a huge buffet of delicious delicacies from the sea! Among the main entrees were grilled swordfish and freshly steamed lobster, along with many other dishes.
While the guests were dining, the chairwoman for the association, Vera Goodbody, made a very special announcement to the crowd. " Good evening, ladies and gentlemen", she said " I have a special surprise for all of you! The rumors you've all been hearing are true! Our models for tonight's fashion show are going to be the CELEBRITIES of Big Farm! You've only seen them in their work clothes, but tonight you'll see what they wear when they dress to impress!" There was a tremendous applause from the crowd. Once they finished their meal, the guests began moving into the auditorium where the runway for the fashion show was all set to go!

First down the runway came no other than Monty! Ever the showman, he strolled with an air of confidence. He wore a beautiful silk tuxedo along with a matching top hat. "Thank you all for coming," he said to the crowd. "My fellow cast members and I are honored to model for this wonderful cause. We hope you enjoy the show."
Next came the Veterinarian for Big Farm, Vicky Ventura. Well known for her loving care for the animals of Big Farm, she was thrilled to participate and lend her support to this worthy cause. Her outfit showed her excellent taste with a combination of good looks and practicality. Just the thing for the gal on the go!
The next model onto the runway was our ever elusive Architect, Steve. To the crowd's amusement, he carried with him the biggest pipe wrench they've ever seen! He told the crowd, "I figured I might need this tonight. I look so good that I'll need it or else the women will be all over me!" This got a big laugh from everyone!
Up next was the lovely Eva Apple, who got a lot of whistles from the guys in the crowd.
She wore a beautifully cut summer dress in a beautiful apple red color. What a model!
The next model was Eva's brother, Johnny Apple. He wore an outfit that was a perfect fit for his relaxed lifestyle. Johnny wore a dark suit that we later learned was made entirely out of alpaca wool produced on the Candy farm. He added a flat-topped fedora to his ensemble to give it a "Kid Rock" vibe. Lookin' good, Johnny!
Next came the lovely Lily Littlefoot in a stunning red gown trimmed with exquisite handmade lace.
As she smoothly walked the runway, the flowing gown made her appear to float on air! Incredible!
Next came the male heartthrob of Big Farm, Benny Buddler! And the gals went wild! There was a roar of cheering and Benny was all smiles, especially when some ladies' undergarments thrown from the crowd landed onstage.
As the next model entered, the audience at first didn't recognize her, but it was Greta! She treated the guys to a sexy dance as she went down to the end of the runway, then sat down to mug for the cameras. Her leather pants and vest were the perfect choice. She may appear to be rough and tough at work, but when she's through for the day, she's all woman!
The next celebrity to take the stage was the resident artist for Big Farm, Frida Flower. She wore an incredibly beautiful emerald green saree from India embellished with amazing designs! Perfect for a woman of such artistic talent.
Up next was a familiar face to all Big Farmers, Omar the Trader. A man of honor and tradition, he looked every bit the prosperous trader that he is. It's hard to believe his success story, starting his business pushing an old wooden cart around town to display his wares, then through a combination of hard work and shrewd bargaining skills he turned his tiny business into a global phenomenon!
Next up came our old friend and neighbor, George. Not one for getting all gussied up, he wore his best bib overalls and a fancy Stetson cowboy hat. Perfect for an old farmer on his way to a tractor show!
The next celebrity to appear came as a big surprise, in more ways than one. Lester! His choice of outfit was a surprise as well.
Up next was the darling of Big Farm, the gorgeous Tessa Townsend. She wore an incredible gown of shimmering GOLD! The ladies in the crowd oohed and ahhed, as well as a few of the guys.
The crowd couldn't help but smile when the next to appear onstage were some of the youngest characters of Big Farm!
There was Rose from the horse ranch, who wore an outfit of denim and hand-stitched cowboy boots. The country look suits this gal! Then there was Jack, otherwise know as the "nice" twin. He was clad in his best school clothes with a spiffy new backpack. Perfect for the straight A student on the go! But the real show stopper was little Lana! Wearing a pretty dress in coral pink, she skipped happily to the end of the runway and performed a little boogie dance. The crowd loved it! Adorable!
As the fashion show came to a close, there were some surprise models! Our Big Farm forum Moderators!
They each brought with them a dog that was rescued from certain deletion by the Big Farm Dog Lovers Association. This touched the hearts of everyone in the audience. Such beautiful and loyal animals should never face such a fate.
Those attending reached for their checkbooks and I'm very proud to say that the evening's donations to the association far outreached expectations.

CAPTAIN BARNACLE HAS NARROW ESCAPE!
As Captain Barnacle approached his usual docking space alongside the pier, disaster struck! His ship's wheel shattered, sending his ship off course and right towards the jagged rocks!
The good captain took it all in stride and thought nothing of the danger he narrowly avoided. "That'll teach me to buy a better quality wheel and not one made of pixels from China!", he laughed.

CAPTAIN BARNACLE TAKES THE PLUNGE!
After hearing many reports of a scarcity of pearls that were resulting in spoiled wedding plans, the good Captain Barnacle donned his snorkeling gear to check out a few shellfish pools. What he found was nothing! Not one single oyster! This is evidently the result of overfishing. Shellfish are in great demand by Big Farmers because they're desperately needed to fill their contracts. So it appears that the pearl shortage will continue unless some changes are made soon!

CUDDLYFOXES HAS A SURPRISE VISITOR!
Our Moderator, CuddlyFoxes, had a surprise visitor to the Agricultural Space Station! It was the most knowledgeable member of the Big Farm characters, Professor James! Turns out that the good professor has been working on new nutrient formulas for growing plants hydroponically for the station and came aboard to study the results. Cuddly was all smiles and greeted the professor with a healthy salad made entirely from vegetables grown using his new nutrient formulas. Professor James will be returning to Earth soon so he can compare his study results with his projections. You can be sure that we here at the "Daily Spud" will keep you aware of what our CuddlyFoxes is up to "way out there". Thank you for reading the "Daily Spud".

EN COMMUNITY BIDS FAREWELL TO COMMUNITY MANAGER
Our Community Manager, CM Hunter, will be leaving our community soon and we here at the "Daily Spud" would like to wish him a fond farewell and all the best for the future. Many of you probably don't know that CM Hunter was active on several other forums besides ours and all the Moderators of the forums are very fond of him, and with good reason. He performed his duties well and most of all, he was responsive to both players and Moderators alike. Yours truly has been here on the forum for a long time now, and I can tell you that CM Hunter has gone far and beyond for us all. He leaves behind some big shoes to fill, that's for certain.

CuddlyFoxes HELPS THE TEAM!
The astronauts on the Agricultural space station had some routine repairs to make and asked for volunteers to help. Our Mod CuddlyFoxes jumped at the chance! Tethered safely so as not to drift off, Cuddly served as the team's tool carrier! She kept the tools needed by the team ready and on hand.
That's showing the world that Big Farmers know the meaning of teamwork! Way to go, Cuddly!
