Disgusted

I just used 428 tokens on the tropical wheel and still didn't get one of the top 5 spots!!! This is SOOOOOO wrong gg!!!!!
Totally disgusted with this game!!!

Comments

  • Oh... I once used about 100 and I was something like spot 37, then 1 hour later the wheel finished and I didn't even make it into top 50 :))))

I sometimes think the wheel is rigged and I wonder why it doesn't show the rankings. I would like to see how many tokens are the top 5 players spending and I would like to see that they are real players with real farms.
  • I know What you mean.  This broke me from ever spinning the dang thing ever again! I have got where I like less and less about this game really 400 tokens and nothing to show for them???????

Oh come on, they're not wasted, you got lots of other gifts along the way. With 400 coins I venture to say you probably got a gold mining licence or two. Remember this game is designed for gold spenders to be at the top. This is especially true for Wheel Of Fortune if they have a gambling issue in their lives. They will spend and spend and spend to get to the top, it's an addiction. I'm just happy with the prizes I get and don't concern myself much with rank. I generally pick up enough coins for free to satisfy me, or occasionally buying them with island money. I think maybe once or twice I used a little gold.

Unfortunately many players will be prepared to spend a lot of tokens to get a top 5 placing in the wheel of fortune, on my server I came 3rd and used about 120 tokens but it will depend on who is trying to get into the top 5 and how many tokens they will use to get there. I imagine the amount it will take can vary greatly but since your server would have a lot of strong players I can imagine it would be very expensive to get there.

If your goal is to get into the top 5 then if you do not make it, those tokens basically are wasted if you are not interested in the other prizes on the wheel of fortune. I do agree that it is fair to expect to have to use a lot of tokens to get a good ranking on the wheel of fortunes.

I sometimes think the wheel is rigged and I wonder why it doesn't show the rankings. I would like to see how many tokens are the top 5 players spending and I would like to see that they are real players with real farms.
The reason why it doesn't show the rankings and specially the number of tokens used is clear: everybody could end in the same first position if everybody were to spend the same amount of tokens: if they were to show the number of tokens you could just match that number (note you just need to match the number and you all get the same position). If you knew who was where you could even ask them how many tokens they spent and spent the same. The delayed display of the rankings (edit: I mean your actual position) is also a well thought trick that encourages you to spend more tokens that would have been necessary to reach a certain position, which makes the other player that just lost the ranking do the same and spend some extra just in case.  If everybody were just to spend say 8 tokens to be able to arrive to the first bonus wheel, everybody would end in first place in every single wheel. But people keep playing and playing because they want to assure that they get the spot and others do the same --> lots of tokens used.

This is the only event in which people can match the rankings to precision and that is why the rankings are not shown. Matching the scores in any other event is rather impossible and that why there is no reason to hide them.

I did not get any Mining license, but a bunch of seed which I could have just bought,  12 dancing hula girls and 22 tropical souvenir shops, but not 1 single license!! had I got a few licenses it may not have been so bad. I was after the tropical chicken coop, Which I won't try for again like that.

It might be easier to save your WWC coins and get the tropical chicken coop from the trader
  • Shay1968,
That seems the best way from now on to as well.  Thanks

And your lucky coins, too! I got most of mine from the Lucky Coin Trader, and one from the WWC Trader, like Shay suggested.

Makes sense what you've explained, Mia, but there are ways around that.

For example, they could implement a timing in addition to the tokens spent. If you got first to 10 tokens, then you are on first place. Even if there is another guy with 10 tokens, he would be second place. People in the top would still spin to be on the first place.

Another thing they could do is to leave things hidden as they are but to display the rankings after the event is over, so that we can see how the top players did.

Experience taught me that when something is hidden is usually with a good reason and not for the benefit of the users. I know that for a fact... the company I work for does it too. It makes sense to encourage people to spin, so it would make sense to have fake people in top 5 (similar to the fake people you talk to on dating sites).

I would like to see some transparency. I would like to see the names of the people at the top (even if it's after the event is over) and I would like to see  if they have farms and belong or don't belong in a coop.

They do show the names of the players, but I think you will only see it if you win a ranking prize.

There are definitely not fake players in the top few ranks, I have got in those ranks before and won the prizes for my rank.

I really do not think it is necessary though to show how many tokens each player has used, I would say it is better to leave it as it is now.

opening Mystery Boxes and instead of a nice treasure inside,
     finding PIG FOOD !         >:- (

I'm so sick and tired of finding junk food in Mystery Boxes !
