    @WascallyWabbit can we get a message when the servers are up and running again.....and maybe also a tweet?
    @Kimmiecat (NL1) Good idea & CM liked it too, he will Tweet for you & also include the time it will go back down (briefly) for the update, if he has an eta on that at the time. :)

    After the move, the Next Harvest menu is always green for the Village, although there is no harvest ready. No building is upgrading currently.

    Also, the adventurer's boat is docked but the ring menu only shows the info button.

    And the coop level at the top is showing level 1 (0 XP), although my coop is level 44.

    EDIT: Forcing a cache refresh on the browser (Ctrl + F5) solved the problem.

    that's a very simplistic view that im sure in the future (unless you only need architect upgrades) will come back to bite you on the ass, so to speak

    it's not about paying attention, it's not even about planning, i can plan to use my two building slots for when archie turns up

    that could be weeks, they never tell us when he's coming so your guess, or the next dude's guess is as good as any, and probably just as wrong

    weeks 'wasted' not building other things i could've

    or sure i could go ahead and build those things and hope i have a second slot again when archie does turn up, and you know what'll happen most likely then, i wont have that second building slot

    as i said earlier, the only ones who will really benefit overall is those who only need architect upgrades

    it's something we've wanted for ages and they've now finally done it, only to present it in a half-cocked way that is totally user unfriendly

    i suspect these coins wont be real easy to come by, so if i presume, and it is a presumption, that these coins take some getting (im sure there will be gold options but im not entertaining that), why on earth didnt some in the dev team say, 'you know what guys, we've needed this in the game like forever, it's gonna take a fair amount of time to build up these coins, why not just let the player use the extra slot when they want to without affecting the normal building slot'

    and if someone did pipe up and say that.... why the hell didn't the exec producer (he calls the shots), say, you know what, you're abosolutely right

    As for the architect....he always comes during the temp farms and always at least 3 times. So it does not take weeks anymore.

    And planning depends on what events give the coins. Once we know, one can choose not to play an event, thus preventing opening up the second slot. If it is with the weekly events, I have no objection to skip those. The weddingplanning ,foodtruck and goldfish I will happily skip.

    Of course I would rather have seen the second slot could be manually activated but I hope it will turn out allright

    There needs to be a better way to deal with this GGS. It shouldn't be this complex and confusing to people.

    Hey @Morgane (US1) as long as you have 50 construction tokens any construction you start will go to the new build slot first. If you do not have enough tokens the original slot would be used.

    Now there is a dead spot on the screen where the new build slot should be I suppose where I have to zoom in to start production again. If I forget to zoom in it will freeze the screen for a few seconds and that is very frustrating.

    Know what?   Without even trying this, KEEP your tokens.   In fact keep the whole extra building slot idea since no one over there gets it.

    Love the idea of another construction slot, but have to wonder just how long it will take to get those 50 coins.  ;) 


    I'm concerned about it starting automatically. If we haven't chosen something for construction, does the system just start something or do we lose out. And what if it's something Steve is needed for? 

    Surely they can present this so we can choose when to start production, just like we do with other tokens.
    It sounds to me like we have to start a construction, but when we do if we have 50 coins saved it will automaticly start that construction in the coin operated spot, leaving the other spot open for something else.

    I dont think we will get compensated in any way - we were warned about this, and it did took shorter timer than expected - and nothing seems to be going wrong. So what is the reason for the compensation?

  • We do start the construction, but planning is hard when you don't know when you will get 50 tokens saved up, and to quick start a construction before you leave the game you find out there is a second slot, after of course you planted all your fields and started all the stables and production machines, I foresee it costing a lot of gold if you need to end a process in order to start a second construction so your tokens will not be wasted.  Guess I should have figured that.

    If I understand this correctly...

    I have no control over what the 50 tokens I have saved up will go towards. Right now I don't know how long it will take me to save up 50 coins, but say it takes me a month to save these coins. I am not happy with the idea that I will waste those hard earned coins on a deco that takes 5 seconds to build. I would rather spend them coins on a long upgrade such as the Dandy duck perhaps.




    You will be able to control what you upgrade or build. Just be aware that you have enough coins to start it because it will start when you start an upgrade if you have 50 coins. Then you can start
    something else right away in the regular slot

    I'm happy it doesn't seem to have caused any issues with my farm.  I looked at my inventory first page and all my coins and things are there.  My gold and farm cash is all good.

    This 2nd slot would be extremely imbalanced if we were allowed to activate it on demand.  As many people said, they would want to activate it during the architect.  However, the architect is balanced around the idea that we can only do 1 upgrade per appearance.  If we suddenly can do 2 upgrades per architect by sitting on tokens and activating it when he appears, then the only way to maintain balance would be to halve the number of architect appearance.  And that would hurt everyone, because the people who sit on coins would be in no better position than before, and the players who don't would get less architect appearances.

    The only other solution I can think of that maintains architect balance would be to allow activating the 2nd slot on demand, but not allowing architect upgrades to be done on the 2nd slot.  Though, personally, I'd prefer the way it is now, as this at least gives me a chance to get 2 architect upgrades if I wrangle things right.

    I'd like to hear if anyone else has any suggestions on how this 2nd slot can work without destroying architect balance.

    As far as I can see, an occasional 2nd building slot is better than no 2nd building slot, I can live with it  :) 
    As GGS makes a lot of its sales by people speeding construction, I think its a reasonable move , lets wait and see how hard it is to get the tokens  .

    I like it too, what I don't like is the fact it automatically uses that slot when you have 50 coins.  I want control over when I use it.

    What would be handy is construction specialists to hire from Job Centre , to shorten build times . No doubt would cost a bit , builders always do :/  .
    Could do with a nail maker too  :D

  • Clicking on a production shed, orchard or field and then clicking again to open loading wheel to reload has slowed down considerably since the server move.  Is there anyway to fix the problem?  I've cleaned the cache, cleaned flash, cleaned my mail, rebooted several times to no avail.  Next,  I changed the batteries in keyboard & mouse,  then I bought new keyboard & mouse,  everything is still very slow. 

    Waiting for a fast fix to the slow problem,
