  • @aussie_mark (AU1) The team is aware of the gifts that make the harvest too large to collect, but as far as I know, they have not yet found a solution. If your farm gets stuck & you do not get a response from support, in a reasonable time, you can send a PM to myself or one of the other mods.

So this problem was in last years event and will also be in next years event and even though there was an existing problem, there was no problem running the event again and as far as I'm aware, no warning of the over storage issue.

Solution 1. Have the game automatically sell the items that are in excess of the players storage capacity.

Solution 2. Make the treat something else.

What shouldn't happen is a players is penalized for recieving a treat and told that its the players problem for not having enough storage capacity.

    What's this hotfix is about
  • Somehow I ended up in the speed round. I don't gold and I was level 124 when I started it. My flower farm isn't built up enough to produce 8,500 pieces of wax and few people knew of any players who were. Not with the speed needed to finish that round without a ton of gold. You need a button so we can pass on the speed round and let another player qualify for it. As for the things before that? I had to collect it anyhow and just used a little fertilizer to do it faster. I'm boxing my decorations to make room for productive stuff, so a decoration doesn't matter to me at all. Good luck if you get sucked in and decide if you really need a decoration before investing gold in something. Not saying I don't use gold, but not for a decoration I don't need.

I was presuming that  the gift amount put them over the top from what they already had in storage. The people I talked with already had items in storage in addition to what the leprechaun added. In such a case, if the leprechaun's gift is for 1,000 whatevers, we've been selling off 1,000 before harvesting the gift as a precaution.

If, as you say, they don't have ANY of the items in storage, and thus can't sell anything off, and the gift amount is over the limit all by itself, then the thing really is FUBAR.  :(
Yes, that is the case. As I explained in another post, say you are harvesting 1050 with the gift and your barn capacity is 1000. If you start with 0 products it would ask you to sell 50; you have none so you cannot sell. If you were to buy 50 (to be able to sell them) now with the 1050 you would harvest, you would end with 1100 so it would ask you to sell 100, but you can't, you have only 50. And so on. You can try any amount, you will always have to sell more than what you have. There is no solution or workaround for the problem. Thus the "your barn is too small". Your only options are either to increase your storage beyond what you would harvest (which you might not be able to do) or to contact support
I understand the mechanics.  I just didn't realize some were starting with an empty barn, then the prank put them over.

Solution 3. Allow the storage room for whatever comes automatically....
    - If the player then wants to harvest some more - it's not possible if storage is full/overloaded.
    - But at least then the player get the chance to plan what to do, with this fine prank-gift

We already have, not same but similar, when making feed in the mill.
    I'm not a developer..but, that doesn't mean I don't have a clue to whats possible..?

@qewt (US1) I will also pass on your list, but I think that you are expecting too much from activity rewards. If they gave out the numbers that you are asking for, no one would ever need to buy anything. A few seeds here & there from different events & from Yarnacle, will soon build up, as do some of the other things listed & to expect 20 seaweed humus for an activity reward (instead of 2) I think its safe to say that won`t be happening - 20 Seaweed humus costs 19,800 gold hehe - But I do agree about specialist things such as fishing equipment, not everyone uses them & the chances are, if they do use fish, they use different equipment. :/ The vouchers for the Candy farm do get stored in your inventory but it would make more sense to have the shells at the moment.

I assume you are talking about greenhouse seeds, not special crop seeds. I'm less concerned by the horse ranch, although I still disagree (which is fine). About crop seeds, however, one is expected to spend them in events, not gain them from events, the few you get in 'rewards' from any event only help to make up a little bit of the amount you had to spend in the event. Even if I did get 10 seeds for each reward I would still be negative, which is really fine, but it's also not really a reward then. That's really the same problem with the seaweed, you just are expected to spend more than you get in the "reward". (edit: I might be "transferring" from HWE here, I think this applies somewhat less to the St. Patricks Event but it is also still valid)

There is already no reason for anyone to buy seaweed (separate issue). 19800 gold for 20 seaweed, 990 gold per, The Longest crop you can use seaweed on is sunflower seeds, cost to skip sunflower is 340 gold, seaweed increases yield x2.2 = 748 gold, presume a sunflower seeds worth is 242 gold then? chances are seaweed will be used on crops with much shorter times than 8.5 hours. whether or not it costs 19800 gold for 20 seaweed humus, that is not its worth, even in in-game terms. seaweed a corn seed for a CC mission or "80 gold plus 1 regular humus and 1 more special seed", instead?

Good to know about the vouchers being held in inventory, I checked my inventory and I do see them there. 8080 vouchers is also a small prize though, considering everything in the trader takes almost 200k at least, you could buy some deco parts and that's about it.

If not outright increasing the order of scale of these prizes, how about allowing players to earn them again once they have completed earning the last prize? I'm sure I would have earned them a few times over by the end of the event. Or a combination, increase rewards slightly (2-3x?) and allow repeat winnings.

Thank you for your time, consideration, and for reporting our lists.

Good news ! It's only 16000 peaches if you do level 5  :D
For me that's about 12 days production or nearly 1000 seaweed fertiliser.
Another thing on the ignore list then , although to be fair, we were warned .

Yep, we were warned. I'm glad, though, that they devised a way to keep the power players happy that didn't destroy the fun for the rest of us.  I hope they find a way to "add on" this feature to other events rather than making them impossible for mere mortals. :)

I think GGS dropped the ball here.........the speedy version of the weekly events had potential but the totals needed to advance the speed stages are so overblown even the high gold users might be turned off by it. The end decoration needs to be worth the extra effort and I don't think blowing tens of thousands of gold for a little extra happiness is something players will do on a regular basis. Maybe i'm wrong and there are players willing to do it but for the majority of us I don't see the point. 18000+ peaches? Seriously guys?

I agree. I am playing the new speedy version using zero gold and using product only if it does not interfere with my other gaming needs. You get a gift, not as good as the final item perhaps, but good enough for me to dismantle at some point. The amounts needed are so high, I am sure no one will want to spend that kind of money, time, or gold for the finished prize. There might be the handful. Not me.

I think the reason for the more expensive price is that you are also paying for a more convenient item to use, even though it would be cheaper to skip it with gold some players would want to complete it without too much effort or they would want to do it quickly so they can do other things and they would be prepared to pay extra gold for the seaweed humus to achieve one of those things I mentioned.

If u were to grumble upon just 18k peaches , its nothing :)
U have too hard tasks upfront like 20k wax and then the next task is more irritating (collecting 17.5k carp)  :(

I completed that peaches task with just few seaweed ferti (around 350 maybe) and then completed 20k wax too without gold using super honeydew but 17.5k carp is just too much (reached that task yesterday night ) :( and i have no hopes of completing it :(

This event is only for gold users as they had mentioned . So those who dont use gold need not hurry play as usual and if u can complete one or 2 tasks in the speed challenge its very good :) . This is my opinion on how non-gold users can play this event .
