As to losing members Jiesta just look at how the numbers have fallen easy to see when you look at the numbers participating in CC  they are down drastically.  JVD no longer a player in the game was a big gold buyer, players are leaving and those staying like myself but no longer gold buyers and again bc you are always defending there practices does not make it good. This is not good news  as I want to see the game here in 2,5, or ten years they need to keep the players happy  happy players spending players and word of mouth more players that is not hard to understand.

I know many high ranked players that have left, I have been playing 3.5 years and I chatted to a lot of players on AU server and US server and the comments made are very common thoughts of players.  So many high ranked players have left which has boosted me way up into 7th on AU server, but mainly due to high level players leaving.  I use to also buy gold but I would never buy again unless GGS attitude changes. When GGS was not about GOLD, GOLD, GOLD, I had a budget to spend every month and I did.

100 players spending $50 per month is far better than 1 player spending $500, but I don't think GGS understands this logic.

The point for me never was about who used gold and who didn't, or who still loves the CCs and who doesn't.  It's just the way GGS is operating right now is a very, very bad business model which can only lead to failure.  If they can change things, get their act together, and put their customers and employees first, I'll be buying gold in a heartbeat.
  • As a non fan of the champ I now need certs for the new machines so no more complaints just observations.

As long as I need to do missions I don't mind the bonus of it being a 2fer.   If I have to do them for the certs I might as well get some prizes out of it.

I honestly think it helps if people happen to be in, or can find the coop that makes the challenge more tolerable?,enjoyable? Meaning....if you only do a couple of missions a day then be grateful to those who do a whole lot more and to those who are willing to drop gold for rep points to get all those prizes you think you earned with your 2 missions a day.
Otherwise, find a coop with active members who chat if you like to chat but don't care if you can only do 2 missions a day.

Our coop h`as lost all of the major gold mission droppers and I am glad for it.  We may not be in the gold league any longer but  I now know that my placement in the roster at the end of the champ is more based on how much time and effort I spent than on how much gold.

  • May I ask, how do the championships attract new members?  our team worked very hard this past championship and made it to the bronze league.  But I do not see anything in our description that gives us recognition for this, so how do potential members know?  Is it just moving up in the ranks?
My plan for my team and my suggestion for you is to only play enough missions to keep us off the bottom until we are strong enough to make and maintain rank in the promotion zone.  This way the team is not getting worn out and sick of competition when there is no chance of promotion.

Okay, just having some fun by tossing this one out.

CC runs continuously non stop 24/7/365.  Coops earn the hard work awards along the way as usual.

At the stroke of midnight, first of every month, top teams buy earn the usual goodies. The scores and slates are wiped clean and we begin again, playing as often or as little, or not at all, as we see fit.

    Easy peasy.  LOL!

Coopcha... mindless missions of constant clicking and deleting production.  Gather points and prizes and sit for hours just wearing out a mouse, mindlessly like a zombie.     Great Fun ?

How about.... CC runs for 2 hours every day, but the 2 hours is random & we get no warning when it will start. Each day the scores accumulate, winning HW rewards on the way & at the end of the week (when the RP already resets would probably be a good time) we get the ranking results & rewards & then it starts again for the next week.

It would level the playing field because even the most dedicated coop would not know the start time any more than the rest of us & now that we have the shelving machine, 2 hours is long enough to do several or just a couple of missions.

It would be quick & exciting & not long enough to get boring & in most coops different members would be online at different times, so the players would be different each day.

    CC mayhem!!

Well sissors while I like the idea  something different  when they open the coop village we have challenges going on there 24/7 and  don't think they will deviate away from what is their biggest gold buying event the CC.

I have not played a CC in over a year.

I was in a TOP co-op and we always placed in top 10. That co-op is still doing them and still in the top 10 so I had to make a choice. When the CC started to be a monthly thing I got to feel the fun was taken out of the game. It became a job that I did not look forward to. So in order to not take part I had to leave my top co-op so that I did not hurt them.

I started my own co-op and we do not do the CC at all. The game has regained the fun and relaxation it had and I look forward to playing again, and at my own pace.

All the hard work rewards you get for doing the CC are just not worth it, as you can get the same rewards by just regular play.

I miss my top coop but I do not miss the stress or the hours of my life spent online doing mission after mission rather than being with family or outside doing thing.

Bottom line I do not care one way or an other how many or when the CC there are as it no longer effects me, but I will speak up for everyone else that is saying ENOUGH: TO MUCH. 2 a month is way to many.

Too long, too often, too pressurized you are losing players because you dont listen to your customers.

If you guys think cc give us joy its not its just a head ACH now every 2 week  we don't forced to do missions but we have to play the mission. Side mission. Also lose their motive because we have to do missions and just mission.
I think cc comes in a month it will be very helpful for new coops and in the way the game is now it is loses its beauty reconsider and try to announce that cc will came  in a month only once

In all honesty, CC once a month was too much.  Yes, I know it's the cash cow feeding the machine that is Big Farm, but balance can be brought to bear and still keep the game profitable.

Every other month was ideal -- that gave us time to relax, refresh, build up supplies, and grow our farms.  Then the CC became something to look forward to instead of something to dread.

Happy players invite friends to play, and some of those friends will buy gold.  It seems now so many people are burned out, many have left.  A smaller pool of players translates into a smaller pool of gold buyers.
  • I don't know how other coops feel about the coop challenges, but, I feel they are coming to frequently.  It's starting to take the fun out of the challenges.  Once a month is more than enough.  I hope GoodGame will consider making this change.  With all the other stuff going once a month is fine.  Thanks
  • Work on creating some new events instead of doing coop challenges.
  • OK GGS  why give us a schedule if  it is not  correct it says  NOV 6TH  for next coop challenge i am sure the calendar and the clock i am working with is perfect   and  Nov 6th is not  in 37 Hours , for pete sake GGS  you are so dang greedy let get it together  cancel the dang coop challenge clock  and stick to the schedule  NOV 6th.

look at the schedule you put up or is that just for looks, is time you get your head  where you can see day light

I think there are enough of us that it is obvious that we aren't happy with the barrage of poorly rewarded events at the moment.  Events used to give good (gold mining licenses, gold, gold flowers, seaweed, coop versions of orchards and animals) prizes to encourage play.  Now we are simply battered by the stick of "you will let down your co-op if you don't play" and the prizes revolve around the totally useless "village happiness"

    May I suggest.........CHANGE YOUR PARADIGM!!!   B)

If you signed the petition, talk to your co-op leader about ignoring these events.  You may find that he or she is VERY supportive.  We co-op leaders have lives too, that don't necessarily revolve around our farms.  Just because GGS has a group event does not mean you HAVE to play.  Do you really NEED a reindeer crossing sign or another Hawaiian garden?

The petition was a good idea, it shows how many people are becoming frustrated.  Now take the next step to passive resistance.  Play the parts of the game that are fun for you.  Support your teammates when they do the same.  Ignore the parts that stress you out.  Support your teammates when they do the same.  Let the goldfish die.  Let the wedding planner become unemployed.  Let the hard work silo sit fallow.  Click the mission button during the CC and ignore the mission if it doesn't suit what you are currently planting.  (Can't remember the last time I actually DID a rutabaga mission, the dogs bring me more than I can use).  Take the stick out of GGS's hand, by supporting teammates that want to farm, relax, chat and laugh.

This is NOT the evil boycott word.... I really don't care what you play or don't play.  This is just pointing out that this is a GAME and it should be FUN.  Your stress and frustration is self induced because you've bought into the paradigm that these events MUST BE PLAYED.  Blow them off and have a bad poetry or stupid joke contest instead. Rearrange your farm.  Concentrate on earning enough to buy land instead of holding production "just in case it is coming in silo or CC".  Giggle, don't Grumble... and find your fun.

Just my two cents.... and two cents is probably about what it is worth.

I have two families - my friends here and my home....  I agree totally about "what happened to the fun" aspect of it, and also, the direction the overall game is taking... but with my family here, i grin and bear GGS's overall WTH's.....They've merged with another company, and hopefully, fresh new eyes, ideas, and the ability to listen to the players will progress the game further.  It the meantime, let them know how we feel.  Improve the deco's, stop the bi-weekly stuff, and stop changing horses in mid stream.

That's what our coop is all about.  And while it's sad to think we miss out on so much because of the barrage of events, we are trying our best to have fun.  That being said, when so many events are now interwoven, to ignore one, you often have to ignore all.  That's no fun, either. Still we try. :)
  • Agree with you completely, Anifromid. I've been exercising passive resistance for quite some time now. I'm very selective with what I play. We're so bombarded on this game it's ridiculous. I had to quit my co-op due to the constant barrage of CC's, but playing outside the co-op is lonely and no fun either. I was excited to try the new GF and FF events until I got to the page where they require Co-op Village items!!! They've just about made the game unplayable inside a co-op and outside too. It's a bummer because I do love the game. I just hope they fix it before I give up like so many others have already.

I agree, We were able to have fishing changed back, so I can't see why we can't do the same with the CC's.

We don't run boosters and just play as normal missions. we could never recover in a week and it was taking the fun out of the game.
  • Why has the voting for the COOP CHA [once a month ] Finished. This is disgraceful, we should be allowed plenty of time to have our say. GGS  you should respect your players, you are not GODS.
I`m very angry and hurt that  GGS should treat Players in this way

I don't like that events have co-op items as necessary either - essentially means I won't be playing those events unless I am prepared to use gold, which I am not for a wedding alter -  I do really like the food vans though, so I am disappointed about it,

When I voted yesterday 90% voted once a month. There was very few votes for the other options lol. =)
  • They likely closed the thread because of the overwhelming response in support to the poll/petition. At least it's still there, after we won on empire, they deleted the thread and the update notes. I personally wish the thread was still open, but kudos to the mods for not deleting it and for making our voices heard. 25 pages of complaints should be enough to effect change. As for this update, eh, not too great, but I like the dog deco. But tell me, with all the events we have to deal with, who's going to have the resources to get the dog deco besides players like me who strategically saved up in preparation for this event?
  • 24-KL0V3R (US1)24-KL0V3R (US1) US1 Posts: 2,464
I too like to save up my resources for one be "all out and out' monthly CC.  I know we have been getting mystery boxes that have some of the needed special seeds and seaweed humus/feed (resources needed for the CC), but it is not enough.  And not everyone can afford the WOF to get the added special seeds.  With all the back to back events and frequent CC's, my resources get expended as fast as I get them without reserve time to stockpile them in time for the next event.  So I truly hope the Team hears us! :D<3
