Themed events

The themed events are too difficult to do. I work for a living so therefore I cannot sit at a computer all day.. I complete a few events but I run out of time. This is the last day of the fairy tale event and there is no way I can finish it. If we did not have to supply so much between chapters it wouldn't be so bad. I would like to earn the rewards that are offered but it is not going to happen. It doesn't seem fair to me.

I agree theme are difficult and most has to do with what the fields or stables give and you get them random. So it is hard or impossible to complete one it does not seem that I will get all that is offered.

I agree too! Its one thing if it requires growing crops, working the stables that the player has control over. But when it is a random thing that leaves the player "hoping" that that item will be found it is very annoying and frustrating. If the random items appeared in every harvest then it would be a little better. Especially when the higher the level you are in the game the higher the number of the random search things. And who wants to waste their gold to skip the task? Not me!
  • even i agree... please do something with the Themed events
i try so much but i cant complete the event
till day i hvnt completed a single themed event..its too difficult
    please help us out
  • I don't know how long you all have been playing, but in time you will be able to finish, even the advanced levels which will become available to you.

I disagree with you. You have to practically sit in front of the game in order to make it to the end of most themed events, or you have to use gold to finish. For those who are unable to do this, it is rather discouraging. We have been doing a cooperative project for the last 3 days so I spent more time on. The  bee event appeared. I was harvested everything I had and only got three bees. I emptied my barns over and over from field collections of sunflowers, roses, wildflowers, corn, violets, cabbage, and wheat... and I only got 3 bees. Having spent that much time online and harvesting that many fields (I have 6), I would have thought I would get more bees. Even other co-opers in our team have said the same thing.

The themed events are kind of set up backwards IMO :D  Why one must complete the 3rd level first ? :|  I have no idea and once one completes it why would you want to do the lower level ones except to get the deco to help finish off your deco tower. Just keep at it you will complete the event as your main farm grows and develops. :)
As for the bees, yes they are hard and do require a lot of crops. I do wildflowers, corn and cabbage during the day and wheat & sunflowers over night. I can usually find all the bees but it does take me the full length of the event to do. Throw some premium hums on your crops if you have enough. I find this helps with the bees :)

For the themed event tasks that ask for produced products or crops, ask someone in your co-op to sprinkle your crops, stables, or orchards with lucky charms. Or you can save up seaweed or special humus collected from other events and use it. It takes time, but the more you develop and upgrade your farm the easier it will get.
  • For me, sunflowers have always given a bee. I plant 10 sunflowers, I get 10 bees. It hasn't failed, yet. Remember, every event is optional.
As far as the weekly themed events, check out this link. If you scroll down, there are spreadsheets for each event. You can decide in advance if you can complete it.

  • I feel the bees have gotten easier, but when they added the new line of décor it takes longer to finish. I had just started doing all the hard ones to get the high happiness décor now I cant even finish the last 3 levels .

question, how is using 10 sunflower seeds worth what you get in return 5 super humus and 20 rose seeds?

in major themed events where you get a large return from the sunflower seeds (over 200) per time used, it does not even start to compare

Lots of flyers, but no bees???
  • Only one bee to go, 31 hours left, piece of cake.

I guess it all depends on how many sunflower seeds you have stored and how/when you choose to use them.

For the make items available, the donation is always at a big loss of money(over 100000).

I suggest like the christmas event that it should reward money equal to the current sell price times the amount added each time you add products.

I have a job  and a life. So I can only play for a few hours every day and on the weekends. There simply isn´t enough time if you are working during the day. Gold can help but that is far too expensive, no amount of money is enough because it´s about the harvest times. I can`t finish the themed missions, events like nature and recently barely some first chapters on the temporary farms (because the time was shortened). You harvest cherries it takes 12 hours, and the you might not get any blossoms at all. So you have wait another 12 hours. Recently events end around 14.00 in the afternoon here in Finland or start at the same time. The last day when you should do the sprint and harvest, is wasted because people are at work. All events should start and finish at midnight no matter where you live, like it used too be. When I have time to harvest during the weekend, what a waste to wait until 14 pm to get new mushrooms, most of valuable time is waiting and you cant do a last minute sprint harvesting either before events end. Every working person has a disadvantage, happy hour is pretty much impossible, and no weekend bonuses because I can only get one evening happy hour time every day. So the top players get even more ahead.

I honestly don't put a huge amount of effort into them.  I set them at a low level -- 2 or 3 -- and pretty much coast.  Greta gets a deco for parts afterwards. When we were't covered up with events, I would go higher, but I fear those days are long gone.

I cannot set the difficulty, it is always 3.  I am at level 79 and the apples and milk required is extremely high, 7500 apples and 5000 milk.  They are lost without payback until the very end.

I totally ignore the bees...just grow corn or whatever crop is required for mission or for contract or coop project/challenge or themed quest and now Christmas preparations... the list just goes on & on & on...like in the live broadcast "one can't do everything & expect to remain sane" (paraphrasing here)...this time around couldn't even get to temp farm what with list & WWC2 & other coop stuff...found I really didn't miss it.  The only reason I do camping quest is because I WANT that camping deco with VW car because I love the VW beetle (have a Tiguan SUV in reality, but still VW is the best!...I know shameless advertising for VW...will stop now...:)  )  As you'll discover when you read/ask on the forum, being a beginner or novice things seem hopeless & discouraging, but that moment will pass & things start to pick up as time goes on & you level up stuff on your farms...not to worry : this is a game NOT a competition with an endgame in sight. I only compete with myself by setting goals & then patience kicks in... have fun...enjoy ...

I seem to recall that you have to complete the event at level 3 twice, once for each deco, before it will let you set the level.
  • I agree with Timvalen, eventually you will reach a level where they will become easier & once you have cracked level 3 you can choose the lower levels and just coast through or give yourself a real challenge with the higher levels. They are not supposed to be easy, if they were they would soon get boring.

@dchen1 (US1)  You think 7500 apples & 5000 milk is bad, you wait till it is 53000 apples & 38000 milk, one even has donations of 44,400 apples, 20,800 corn & 52,600 eggs all in the same event.

The hawaii event asks for 5800 milk.  To do it in 1 day, the player will need 7 level 7 cowsheds.  The time needed for upgrades is so much that by the time one gets the expansions, workers, and upgrades for the cowsheds as well as getting other buildings upgraded to meet resource demands, the player would be beyond level 100.

The milk is where I use seaweed feed.  I knock it out it a couple of minutes.

Level 7 of Not of This World Event:

    Collect Corn - 8,840
    Find UFO Parts - 2,880
    Collect Milk - 27,000
    Find Evidence Photos - 5,100
    Collect Apples - 62,200
    Find Extraterrestrial footprints - 17,220

Yeah, can't "buy and donate" those - I did this event once, and that was enough. :)

To be fair, these events are not supposed to be easy at the higher levels , GGS have to cater to a large range of farm levels , and they are not essential . I find them nice for a challenge when not  thrashing on a coop championship or hard worker event, which is rare these days .
