What compensation??? This is the 13th and nothing has reallly been done except rearrange things for no apparent benefit. What deco? What Christmas themed stuff to start? This is not a game for fun anymore. I am getting fed up with the whole thing! Promises, promises! Of course the pop up offers for gold are running flawlessly!
Did anyone actually get a compensation pack with the update? I have not received anything as of yet. I know the update ran, my farm management tab is all rearranged.

I am also enjoying the multi-colored money bags, which I am deciding they are changing colors because they are Christmas lights. Noticed the rearrangement of the farm management screen. Much better but wish it didn't keep defaulting to the rightmost tab (contracts). It should only do that when we click on the market, rather than the farm management button. Wish it would remember which tab (and also page if possible) we were last on when we click on aforementioned button.
Well, Hats off to you, Devs. You tried, and this time, the compensation only burns the top players rather than half the server (that's what i'm used to on Empire at least). I love the apple orchard. Can't say I'm a fan of the skins, but they're good for the seasonal looks I apply on my farm. The seaweed is nice, considering we could have gotten nothing there. And the starting of the Christmas event on the 14th is also a nice boost to look forward to. At least for those of us who believe in second chances that is. BTW, You guys realize that they're WORKING during the holiday season, right? Pretty big of them to be working on code for our entertainment, even when most of us have been whining as if the world ended (I've seen worse, sorry). Finally, this is likely the only real gripe I have here, I had 51 happiness points on the chapter one deco, and only 1 village happiness. This only costs me 6 happy points, but gains 14 village happy points.that's a gain of 8 points total, so that's a fair trade off, considering it's extremely unlikely that a single person on any server had 15 village points on their deco. I'd love to see the deco if they did, but I highly doubt it. I may not look like it due to how much I avoid these forums like the plague, but I've played this game back before the missions were redone, you know, when you had to pay rep points (10 per mission) and there was a set timer before missions started, and you could select what you wanted. These days, there's too many events for my liking, but at least there's an opt out option. The best thing to remember is to play how YOU want. A lot of players here seem to like making the exact same mistakes. Letting GGS determine your play style. I realize the Christmas event kinda forces your hand, and I personally think that's stupid, but I digress. The other events, such as CC, HWE, CHWE, weekly events, WoF, WWoF, CCWoF, and so on (jeez, can Empire have your devs for a year, we need more variety, lol). Way to much to do at once, sure. But at least you have options. I'm used to this event schedule: Clone A1, Clone B1, Clone A2, Clone B2. Kinda boring after, oh, two weeks. In all, this all hardly the worst GGS has dropped the ball, and that's assuming that the devs were even the ones to drop it in the first place.If anything, I'd like to thank them personally for apologizing, that's pretty big of you GGS. And kudos for acting on your mistakes, even when we hardly deserve it due to our collective behavior. Looking forward to the new year with you guys, and hoping for the best. Disclaimer: I'm sorry if anyone feels offended, i'm a slight gold buyer when life allows, and I know that gold users are indeed the. main reason this game is even running anymore. But you surely realize that eventually this game will disappear, right? Hope you aren't expecting refunds then. GGS are humans, like the rest of us, and can make mistakes. Sure they might make more than we like, but then, who doesn't?
Kudo's to all those who seem to think backhanded comments against those who actually used resources and gold to rank in the top 100/50/25/10/5 th places should be so cheaply wrote off, or that they should not receive additional or more promotional prizes than those offered server wide. I think that says a lot about what competition is all about. Most will just say now "WHY BOTHER?" if the event is broken, GGS will compensate the server as opposed to individual accomplishments. Nothing like a good dose of Socialism to drive home a point of contention.
Compensation and Ranking Rewards need to be sorted and treated justly. Those who worked extra hours, despite a failed or failing event, and continued to push for a gifted bearing score. DESERVE to get a decent award that is comparable to the general compensation package offered server wide, whether you did 1 hour or 32 hours of game play.
Sadly fixing issues in this game is less important than adding additional content. Thus it will not surprise me that this will herald the eventual demise of this game. It is on a very slippery slope.
Last time with CC we managed to get 1st in The Silver Leauge and promoted to Gold Leauge and look where our coop has been placed this time!! (Not the one from last friday which has totally crashed~!)

Same happened for my coop. CC started at midnight and by the time any of us managed to even start gathering point, it was already canceled. We automatically went in the lower league... Unfair.

Our coop has been knocked down to silver league too. I have spoken to a player from another coop and the gold league still exists. His coop is in it. So amazing how some coops got to stay up there and others got knocked down to silver. Merry Christmas everyone.
The co-op I am in is fairly small. We have been going back & forth between the bronze league & the silver league. This morning I discover we are now rookies.

I'm prepared to be shouted at here, but does it REALLY matter which league you are in or where you finish in the league? You all scream that there is too much competition in this game, which should essentially be a calm farming game, yet you all jump in with your gold and seaweed to beat everyone else. If you dont take part in all the competitions does it really hurt the coop?

it really matter when you and your coop have made a decision to move up league!! most of the time we, members in my coop, play cc leisurely... just to collect reward. but when we make a decision to move up, all member did their best!!

In this case it does, yes. Different Leagues have different rewards. Silver League, for example, has something like 30 more rewards than Bronze, and Gold has 25 or so more than Silver. Not to mention the Top Rank rewards for each league are different.
