ours came in and is leaving in about 1/2 hour.... :(

it must be for resetting the BF clock and sychronizing everything?

Well clock at the top says 12:45 for me, but I'm CST.. So it's 13:45 EST; if he's leaving at 2pm, that's 5 hours earlier than before.  Says he'll be back in 6 hours, so that would be 20:00 (8pm) EST.

Then leaving at 2am, back at 8am..

    So new schedule would be:

    Arrive 8:00 AM (EST)
    Leave 2:00 PM (EST)
    Arrive 8:00 PM (EST)
    Leave 2:00 AM (EST)

We'll see, but would be nice to have official confirmation?

How come out of all our boats, the one with Captain Yarnacle at the wheel is the only boat that gets severe damage over and over? How in the world did he get his Captain's license? :(  Perhaps we could all chip in and buy him some glasses so he won't keep running into things. ;)

Yes, and his pipe too....what's he got in it?  I hear that too much tobacco make one sick.

Just a note of warning/observation - the latest patch has apparently changed Captain Yarnacle's friendship donation levels for bakery products (at least on the Level 1 Jetty).

I had a list of all his donation requirements from 0-100% friendship, such as "127 tacos", "120 Apple Turnovers", etc.

Tonight when I gave him his tacos, 127 only took him up to about 80% in friendship.

I'll have to redo my list, but wanted to make a note here in case anyone else is noticing the same behavior.

I was not on at the 1 am docking but was informed by my deputies that again
our fully repaired boat came back with more than 25% damage in a couple areas.
This morning i finished up the repairs (They had most of it done Gotta love teamwork =)) )
and it was again back to 0%. So I took a Screen Shot and will take one at 1 pm
if it again comes back with more than 25% damage.

Yes we are experiencing the same thing boat fully repaired coming in with 30% damage  will be waiting for an answer to this also.
Just saw both of these, and hopefully after all of this time you found the answer.  Each time the boat returns it will have no less than 25% damage on all 3 parts.  So it will NEVER be less than 25%, at times you'll luck out and it will be exactly 25%, but as you level up, it's consistently much higher.

We regularly repair our Level 5 boat completely in under an hour, so we get the bonus, woohoo, and the next time it comes in, the hull will be at 42%, stowage at 35% and cabin at 30%.  It's still all very doable.
    :)

I noticed this about 2 weeks ago.  Instead of 20 cookies, he now requires 24.  I will have to watch and donate some of the items I don't normally do like the Pasta Gift Baskets, etc., to see if they've increased as well.  At Level 5 he no longer asks for the regular bakery items, only cookies, hot milk, etc.  From the shop on FF he'll request soaps Same with Mermaid Bay, he only requests the higher dishes.

Yes! I noticed this as well, same as @KarenKay (US1) about 2 weeks ago, our boat is just at level 1 and I usually donate the bass/apple dish, 74 used to be enough, now I have to keep adding.
The cherry cookies stayed at 5 though.

Even if  the ship has 100% damage, and your coop like mine is ignoring it until we get a sensible sailing time, it is worth checking, it still delivers the odd pack of special or event seeds from time to time .
Since they revamped the rewards in the hotfix the other day, they've gotten a LOT better.  I'm getting Mystery Boxes, Lucky Charms (both small & big ones), Rakes (50% charms), WoF Tokens, and yes, seeds. :)  (All from the *personal* rewards, or course - not from the Co-Op rewards. Those are the same boring things they've always been. Seeds and fertilizer/feed).

It is nice to open those personal rewards and see "3 Big Lucky Charms" though.
I have gotten seaweed feed and special greenhouse seeds from normal/general/alliance prizes of boat too, so that's not too bad I think either.
but certainly yes individual prizes are very good, i have gotten seaweed humus and mystery boxes and wof tokens and special greenhouse seeds and some more other good things like lucky charms and such from it too since the update :)
    Guys.....ssssshhhhhhhhhh.
they might hear you...don't let them know we are happy with the personal chest...:)

    I don't think that's possible.
  • Hi everyone. I seem to have troubles with the Adventurer's boat. It costs a lot to fix it twice a day, but we do our best and most of the time we fix all three sections. Never less than two. However in the past couple of days, the ship returns with only one item in the smallest  (3 cells) of the personal boxes and 2 items in the general box.  Could you please have a look at the technical side of this game event?

I would also appreciate if someone could tell me where to address my questions about the horse tournaments.  In the last 4 of them I finish in the Platinum league but end up with staff from the Gold one. Thanks

I'm sure someone more technically savvy needs to look into this, but I did want to ask:

1-Adventurer's Boat -- are you also donating the maximum flowers and food treats for the Captain?

2-Horse Tournament -- did you finish in the Platinum League, or just reach it during the tournament?  I found I have to work extra hard to stay in the Platinum League or I will slide back into gold when the tournament ends if I'm not careful.
  • Hi, Artful. Thank you for replying. No, I do not donate the maximum quantity of flowers and produces, but it reflects in the quantity and type of products in the boxes, not the boxes themselves. It's a matter of repairing the boxes (1 row of 3 boxes, 2 rows of 6 boxes, 3 rows of 9 boxes) and yet getting no boxes whatsoever. If this is a coop activity- then every member should get that personal box if the happiness meter reaches it's higher level, isn't it? If the products you donate tick all three boxes (donated by all/some members) you should get the one with 9 boxes, isn't it? and yet, it comes back with very little or nothing at all. That's different from what it was before.

Could you please suggest where i could write this because I couldn't find the right thread in the forum.

    Thanks again

  • Thank you for the answer with the Horse competition. Things probably changed indeed, but before, once you reached a league you would stay there. of course when you lose, you get thrown back on the ranking points an it makes more difficult in reaching the next level, but you get to stay in the same league. Things have probably changed. :)
  • Hi. Sorry, at this point it's probably old news. But, can someone break it down for me in a simple way, exactly how the Adventure boat works and if someone has a strategy that works, I'd love to hear about it. The big do's and don'ts and such. I'm only just getting into the adventure boat thing and it's a bit confusing. I'm kinda loving the personal stash though.

Strongly recommend your coop does not go past level 1 . If you keep the old pirate going, you will get enough greenhouse seeds to skip a lot of the temp farms, which saves dollars and construction time, but for each level after level 1 , he demands an extra 50% + for very little extra reward . Recommend you message your coop on that, to stop a random button pusher .
Level 1 is well worth doing for the seeds and seaweed, and the odd mystery box, but you do need to keep him going, suggest growing edge crops overnite on gf and ff .
For more details , as always check crazybigfarm.tk , a mine of info on everything  :)

  • Thank you! Very helpful and much appreciated.

Just one more question... How much of the extra donation goods are needed to reach max friendship (bakery goods, mermaid bay food...)? I feel like I'm giving too much. Does someone have a list or something that can help? Someone said 4 cookies is enough... I don't make cookies though.

I reckon to give around 100 to 150 bakery items. I watch the frienship guage climb and give accordingly.

On level 1 , Yarnacle needs about 100 apple turnovers or 120 muffins to max the friendship gauge . The best way is to add say 50 of an item , look at the red pointer, then add in 10 at a time until maxed, you will also see 9 items in your personal crate . The amount is decreased a bit if you donate extra repair items . One of the fish dishes, I think bass , demands a stupid amount and should be ignored .
  • Thanks for the responses. You guys are great.

My problem is that it's happened before that I donate some items, then check the friendship meter and try to donate more as it wasn't enough, only to find all the donation buttons grey and unresponsive. The result being that I only get about half the stuff I would have. This has happened twice now. Has this happened to anyone else?

New bug to me, and I thought I got all of them lol . Can only suggest re-logging , that cures most minor hitches , nuisance though it is .

I really wish the donate button was like those for market contracts -- it's ridiculous to have to guess and keep checking.

At level 1 it's 120 Apple turnovers, 182 Bonito Tacos, or 5 cookies (if starting at 0 friendship).  He always has one of those 3, so I've never retested any of the other items. I had a whole list, but they changed the amounts a few months ago and I haven't bothered to retest everything yet.

As for the fish dishes, it was Carp Patties.. Gave him 1,000 once and he STILL wanted more. Never again. :)

When the Adventurer's boat was due to dock, I was on my main farm. I went to the village and saw the boat was there. I first started some productions, exchanged $$ at the bank, and then went to the boat. I went to click the treasure box and it told me I had already collected my supplies. I closed out the game and reloaded to have the same thing. I then emailed support. They write back and say "I've logged into your account today to check this for you and unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce the issue. It sounds like you may have experienced a temporary display issue; your account should still have been credited with the supplies the boat returned with." I don't know how I could have gotten em when I couldn't get to the screen to click the open button. Plus I don't understand how they were able to test this issue. If they logged into my account then 3 different possibilities happened:
    • The boat was there and my supplies were still there, but then why tell me that I must have received them.
    • The boat was there and my supplies gone like I had collected them which IS reproducing the issue.
    • The boat was not even there so how is there any way of telling that I received my supplies like I was told I did?

I have no way to verify if I received my supplies since I have no clue what they were to try to go see if they there, plus seriously, how many people here know exactly how many of each item they have to see if that number went up by a few? This is 1 of those since I can't prove it, they don't help.

@Autumnferret (US1) Unfortunately you are correct. I had a similar experience a couple of months ago, I clicked the treasure box & then got distracted before opening a crate, it was a couple of hours before I went back & the crates were unopened but the button to open them was gone, so I relogged & then got the same message as you, that I had already collected them. One of the techs did try to reproduce it, but he could not make it happen, so, as support suggested, it was most likely a temporary glitch.  There is a system in place which automatically gives the 1st crate if you do not choose one, which may be why they say its possible you got the items, but I am not sure that works if you don`t unlock the crate at all.

Its hard to tell support what you lost when you don`t know what was in the crate, so you will have to chalk it up to bad luck or assume that you did get the items, but if it happens again or we get any more posts about it happening, then it could be a bug that the techs can reproduce & then they will be able to find the cause & hopefully fix it, but 2 random events, months apart is not enough for them to go on. :/
