Yes it does Thorim.  I hope people haven't been taken in by the 'temporary' fix for DSF like I feared that they would be :(

I have no enthusiasm left any more I am afraid.  I usually love doing the seasonal events and would hunt for the mushrooms/easter eggs etc until my eyes were watering from the effort, but I am not trying hard with it this time. If I find the mushrooms as I roam my farms then I just collect them, otherwise not bothering, and I am not in my farm as much at present so doubt that I will get enough recipe pages to get that deco either.
  • I guess Im just going to think about how to re-balance my farms.Im cutting out the village , fishing, and I guess horses will go because temp farms are a money drainer. There's not a good source to make income from...not that I have found.

I make $5+million a day just from selling fish caught by Oleg and also the Mermaids produce.  Not a lot compared to what players were getting from the fishing fleet but a decent amount - its enabling me to buy extra plots of land. The $5+million is in addition to any other cash I get from selling produce/the boat etc so not too bad.
Hush! the enemy is listening! Walking about thinking "where the heck do they still get the money since we so nicely screwed them up on DSF?" :)

sssshhhhh they will change that too...lol

I have no enthusiasm either.  This is how much enthusiasm I have after 2 days:

With you. I opened the FHWE just to get the start gift. Have not sent (what is left of them) a boat out from the change on and will not. That part of the game is 100% dead to me. I did find all the mushroom without gold because I really enjoy that event and am real good at it. BUT I am not spending much time on farm either and most likely will not play enough to find all the recipe pages to get the deco. Did not even start the weekly event. And you know what I do not care. Spent the money I would have on gold to buy yarn and started to crochet again.

Like others I now have little to no motivation to even bother with some parts of the game, deep sea and village especially. I find it amusing when people try to be positive about these changes, maybe they like getting screwed??? I don't see the point in doing something where you make a loss or extremely minimal profits, its just a waste of time. I'll take advantage of the pool changes after the hotfix while they last.....its funny how something as small as pool time changes and a more even fish pool generation can bring back a little motivation.....and GGS say the deep sea setup was ruining the enjoyment of the game??

The only thing ruining the enjoyment of the game for me IS GGS......the fun police.

After looking at the leader boards on the events currently running: Shinkei, WOF, and FHWE, it looks like gold spending is way down.

While I am thrilled that GGS reworked the fishing pools and times for  the FHW Event.... all  of a sudden I  have no shellfish pools.... can't start the event....  really GGS get your act together.... make  it so we all can play or just get rid of the event... and by the way, swordfish are still scarce :(
  • I deleted my 2 farms from my coop and am taking a break from the greedy, money hungry GGS.  I am going to play my old game which does not cost me a fortune in real money to play.  I should have done this a year ago when GGS stole all my high level decos and gave me crap in return.  This game has gotten way too expensive to play.

I decided to play GGS's Legends of Honor game for a change. Surprise... it's just as bugged.

$625k for one droplet of water (im ignoring the 10% discount price), for those that have tried to put a brave face on the fish market and its value to us, read 'em and weep

and never mention that pile of steaming dung in a positive light again cos if that doesn't give players a reality check, nothing will

GG$ is valuing the Lobster chum at $156,200.   Our sale price was originally $93,000 before the update.  The Lobster chum is now valued somewhere between $25,000 and $40,000.  GG$ is offering it as a "good deal" at $140,580.  However,  we can only "trade" it for a few water drops and a bit of farm cash????  GG$ has COMPLETELY lost their marbles!   I really wish they would stop insulting our intelligence.

I ignore their trash and go by my own solid math. We know by now that GGS people learned math at Quinquistan where 1+1 equals sometimes zero, sometimes 5 milion, other times 3 quarters to the power of 4.. But thumbs up to all of you who have time to bring this to public attention. I think we need to keep this math filosophy in mind also when we read about the milions of players of BF or milions the company is making etc................ lol. Long live Quinquistan!

GGS has done so many wonderful things in this game, I just don't understand why they can't get the dockyard area right.   I think GGS needs to figure out where this numbers problem stems from, it all started around the time of the Lab, Matilda, and Lester secret stash.  Change in staff at that time?

I'm still fairly new to game.  since fishing port changes I've been trying to up my game with better chess-like techniques so that fishing is more efficient and profitably. I have a smallish cadre of boats (2 motor, 2 runabouts, 2 wherries); might someone suggest better combinations or would trawlers be best?  I want to outsmart (somewhat) all the changes that seem to be happening every week or so (seems that way anyway)...the goal is to catch more fish so that playing the fish market is more fun and profitable... thanks to any and all who might have suggestions...Knitting Guru in Wonderland of Calgary

@ronin7 (INT1)  There are many different strategies that can be used in the deep-sea fishing, you just need to find the one that works best with your playing style.  If you're not very active, the Trawler is the best. It holds the most fish and you can send it out and harvest the next day. If you're online for a longer period, you can experiment with having both the smaller boats and the bigger boats. The smaller boats hold fewer fish, but the turnaround is faster. You'll also have to calculate how much equipment you put on your boats or you will actually lose money.  ;)  You'll find a link to "Fishing Strategies" here courtesy of CrazyBigfarm55.......   http://crazybigfarm.tk/farm/dockyard/dockyard.htm

This is the second game that I have played long-term (over four years for the first and over three years for this one) and I grew to love both. I was totally floored when the first game closed....

......GGS -  I DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH HAVING ANOTHER GAME TAKEN AWAY FROM ME SO PLEASE THINK ABOUT THE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WHO ARE FEELING THE SAME AS I AM BUT DONT SAY ANYTHING IN THE FORUM.  WE LOVE THIS GAME OR WE WOULDNT BE HERE, AND I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO LEAVE ALL MY GOOD FRIENDS THAT I HAVE MADE HERE, BUT THERE IS ONLY SO MUCH THAT A PAYING CUSTOMER WILL PUT UP WITH AND THIS PAYING CUSTOMER IS COMING TO THE END OF THEIR (INTERNET) FARMING LIFE.

sorry GGS is counting on you adapting

I have already done my adapting - have demolished my fleet and returned to just playing the farms (excluding temp farms as never started them).  And have locked up my credit card so no more money will be spent on buying gold.  Not sure if this is the adapting GGS wanted lol. :)

I didn't buy a lot of gold wasn't/isn't in my budgets about 30 dollars a month give or take a few days since the deep sea debacle nadda nothing for me won't buy any more gold till they let me sell the fish I have in inventory at the prefubar prices
  • Shay1968 (US1)Shay1968 (US1) Posts: 1,324
Sadly I started the temp farm because I thought I finally had enough income coming in that I could afford it.

Me neither.  I played it once, the last island, played the first chapter.  I can no longer afford to play it and I can't relock my extra 2 slots on the boat either.

Yes and no buying gold from players means they lose the means to keep this cash cow going.  Not so much of a cash cow now  I am thinking they have upset globally big time.
