Wow they made 800 million dollars on their games?......lying cheating and conning to do so is quite a sad way of running a business and I hope a competitor releases a game better than this so we can all leave and play a fun game that doesn't involve screwing over the customer.
Why don't they evaluate what made many hard playing customers, of which many spend a great deal of money, stay and play more or less daily, for 4+ years, and try to keep them happy, and to attract more similar players, who, for much less spending from ggs part, will keep playing for years to come, and keep spending more than enough real money to keep ggs making good profit.
I think they have a bad business plan, which is to costly to implement, and which will lose them their core customers, but not gain them enough new customers. I think they would benefit from reevaluate and re balance (!) their business plan.
And I have studied economics at university, this is not based on my disappointment in the last changes, but on knowledge in marketing and economics.

I cannot believe that they missed the mark this badly. I gave them some credit for being able to potentially find the right middle ground. Clearly they have failed at that. I am stunned by the tone-deafness of this unfortunate statement.
They cannot improve. Because the contracts are so bad, you must decline so many, that the contracts do not progress as they did on the first organic market. I was here for the entire development of that market. That market works really well. Why can't you learn from that?
Thank you for sharing the latest from the gods of Hamburg. They are the spin masters of understatement. Some backlash, some anger. WOW Seems to me they didn't expect this much anger and backlash and don't know what to do and they are trying to mollify us with vague promises of change that more then likely will never come. They must think we are all naive children who don't know any better to even post something like this. They have had over a week to come up with something and this is the best they can come up with ????
That's completely fine if that is their attitude towards their customers. I would much rather spend my money on tangible things, anyway. Still have bought no gold since the bait was switched. It feels really good. Switch it back or no gold. Not backing down.
More lies from GGS, this time directly from CM Hunter's keyboard (or mobile phone).... totally ridiculous
I told you Santa will show us a nice brand new swordfish statue decoration....
"......... Ponds, times, equipment As many of you are aware the fishing spots were also rebalanced to provide high value fish less often than before. We truly apologise for not including this in the original announcement, it was not our intent to conceal this fact from you and it was an error on our part that the information was not included and not therefore down to the moderators. While the current balance is not likely to be changed many alternatives were discussed to this situation and they are being evaluated as to the best fit and implementation. Fishing times, chum production times and equipment costs are also unlikely to change but, as with the balance of the fishing spots, alternatives have been and are being discussed........"
I think they bought beer with the DSF windfalls. A LOT of beer and they're still working on consumption. Enjoy it GGS peoples, because those are the last drinks you'll have on this customer.
I play the game for relaxation and fun, not to have to do mathematical calculations on a daily basis to determine whether my investment of time, farm dollars, and even gold is gong to be worth it. I am in the majority in that if there are not any significant changes to the fishing area, then this will no longer be a part of my daily play. The negatives outweigh by far any potential small benefits. I have many other opportunities to spend my entertainment dollars that will provide me with satisfaction without the headache.
I understand the desire to maintain the "challenge" of the game however when making such a substantial change then at least more time and effort could have gone into forecasting the extreme backlash that was and is occurring in the community and addressing it at the outset. It is poor business judgement and extremely poor customer service to have waited over a week to address the concerns. A huge shout out to the mods who have been working hard to stem the tide (pun intended) of the justifiably angry community.
If the capability to restore direct selling of fish is not going to be implemented and the "balance" of the ponds is not going to change then I sincerely recommend the contracts be revised. When the majority of the contracts that come in include requests for fish that do not even appear for days at a time, if at all, then what is the point? At least with the farming contracts, even though the quantities may be extreme, a player has the opportunity to harvest those items every day. Just my thoughts and two cents (might be worth a half-pence at this point).
Happy Farming since we can't be happy fishers!

Mrs. White
Again, WHY do you even have a TEST SERVER? This whole deep sea thing was NEVER TESTED!
The test server was a great idea. SO USE IT!!!!!! Put a new feature out there, let some real players fiddle with it for a few MONTHS. Put an easy way to leave live feedback right in that game.
Love it?
Hate it?
Meh,?
and a text box why.
SIMPLE!
Then go crunch your numbers and find out if something needs adjustment, test it again, and only AFTER all the bugs and math kinks are worked out, do you roll it out to the world.
But no. I put it to you that your all just too short sighted and greedy. You actually rolled out a feature people LOVED. Many sunk tons of resources into, including real money, not to mention time.
Now you yank it away with no real warning at all?
At this point the only damage control you have available is put it back the way it was.
As has been pointed out many times, OTHER THINGS in this game are SO insanely overpriced, they simply don't get upgrades at all. This was a means of balance and it got people playing again.
Even if you ultimately decide it needs to be scaled back, you already rolled it out. People have already invested. This is really simple. Put it back, even if for just a set period of time. I'd suggest at least as long as it's been live. And make that clear IN GAME exactly how much time is left. Just like with events. This would give everyone a chance to recoop invested time and so on, sell off what they got THEN try again.
It's probably already too late for many though. I know a lot of folks already tore down their farms and left.
This was one of the stupidest moved I've seen you make here.
Test server folks. Spend the time to use it. Might have saved you a lot of customers.
Will you be our advocate !!??!!
NO POINT UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE MONEY.
i FEEL THE SAME WAY ABOUT THE COOP VILLAGE. PUT A TOM OF MONEY INTO IT SO YOU CAN FILL A BOAT THAT THE REWARD DOSE NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU SPENT.
BOTH HAVE TURNED OUT TO BE THE EQUIVALENT OF PAYING FOR A CURSE AND THE EXTRAS THEN MISSING THE BOAT. A TON OF MONEY DOWN THE TOILET AND NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT.
