  • Hy folks. Here in Brazil we are on a strike since the  CC starded. But we cant talk about it on PT fórum because they remove the pôster. Wonderful democracy. In case someone has points (those who do not pay atention to anything) is removed from the coop, and reintegrated  imediatelly.  Important is to keep zero points. Guess what we are loving this "vacation" from CC every other week. GGS needs to understand that we are costumers of their enterteinament company. They are not doing any favor to us. They should kiss our feet and make all of us the happiest they can. Sorry my bad english. We are stronger than they think.

I think I am the muggle in question.  Don't let the name fool you, I am in fact very magical indeed.

Thank you PCA for pointing that out! xx

    Magical muggles are the best!
  • Please stop spamming my game page with gold sale pop-ups. I ain't buying. You could offer a buy 1 get 50 free and I would still pass. If you truly want my money, completely reverse the fish blockade.

I laugh everytime one pops up,  seems like they are feeling the pinch !   I can play for free until they take that away.   Gosh they might even steal the Captains cookies before its over !   LOL

  • What imbecile flagged this? Show that you have any guts and fess up?

    .@amaprincess1

Seems like people are just starting to flag others for just having an opinion.
it was me and only reason why i flag that one as spam that is not becasue of the original post and opinion in it, but because it was only reposted by other with nothing addet to it, we have this opinion here, on this certain paige already in another post with some other opinion and the original one and some more reposts. So I dont see any reason reposted it again and again, especialy if you have nothing you want to comment to it. It is pretty long, and one time in each page I thing it is enough :)

It was not ment to put flag to the post and opinion itself. So taking it back so you dont need to make panic.

Ok, sorry, my bad, there was a comment added: "amen" I did not noticed that :D

And who put you in charge of that?
As I have the button to do it so it is ok with rules of forum for anyone to do it. What is the problem about it? I explained it. Or there are some other restrictions than forum rules what we can or cannot?

Anyway I thik it is not ok with rules of forum to call me imbecile, but if you wish to...

Until you outed yourself, "imbecile" was just some random person out there pretending to be the GGS flag czar. Back to topic....  I still can't sell my fish, GGS.

    Just a suggestion:

I am sending my boats out unequipped.  Since they were already built, they cost me nothing, and anything I manage to catch and not lose to sharks, octopi, icebergs etc is a freebie at this point.

Then I am throwing them in the box marked "Christmas deco wheel of fortune" with the freaking catalyzers I will never be able to use, since upgrading the lab to the level they require is unlikely to ever happen.  With any luck, I'll be able to get my piggy balloons in a few months without even dipping into my dung stash.

As far as I'm concerned, the market doesn't exist.  I'll take my chances that they will show up in December to be traded for decos, instead of more rakes now.... already get enough of those from the village boat.

What killed this game for everyone was the combination of giving us the high prices for fish and then taking them away. If they had never given us the high prices, things would still be going along okay. And having given us the high prices, had they simply left them in place, things would still be going along okay. If you take the challenge out of a game, it kills it. But if you take the possibility of meeting the challenge away from most of the players, it also kills the game. So having made the mistake of giving us the high prices, they attempted to fix it by taking them away. Wrong. Two wrongs do not make a right. Having given us the high prices, the best thing for them to have done was to leave them in place, and create new challenges in other areas. Why limit themselves now, after all the extras they have shown themselves capable of adding to the game? How many things can we have going at once? Horse races, weekly events, CC's, WWC's, VL Challenges, HWE's, Wheels, Happy Hours, Mushrooms Hunts, to name only some of them, all going on at once. I don't see them backing down on this. I'm just looking for a way to feel like playing again. I could get quite a bit of farm cash back if I demolish all of my trawlers. I'm looking for something that will make this game fun again. I have plenty of farm cash and could upgrade anything I want. That's not the problem. It's that the spirit of the game has died. Everyone is unhappy and angry and fed up. They need to come up with a solution for that. The CC's have died because the top co-ops simply buy their way as high as they want to be. No point in collecting brushes and rakes to help your team, because the other teams will simply gold their way to the top. And the prizes remain the same anyway. How many giant duck coops can a person have, anyway? You can't even be sure of a person's reputation points anymore, because they might have bought them instead of playing missions. Maybe what we need is an alternative to playing missions. Another activity that can be stacked up against other players or teams Just some thoughts...

Yep, a lot of good thoughts there.  But for me, the easiest solution would have been to reduce the sale prices for the fish a bit, reducing the number of fish per pond a bit, and leaving the fish market out of it.  People would still be unhappy  but their fishing fleet would not be wasted.  It just would have slowed them down a bit.

I posted this elsewhere, but the one huge difference between the organic market and the fish market is if the organic market called for corn or apples, we could then start growing the corn and apples.  We have no control over what's in the fishing spots -- and right now, it's not providing anything that most people need.

Playing the game is your choice, owners are allowed change it how they want.
If you already enjoyed it once, expect more to come, people never change, they hide when they don't have enough to show who they really are.

GGS is NOT an owner... it is a Product company which exists to serve customers. They would not exist if they didn't have a paying customer. Every person who calls themselves a Product Manager or Product Owner at GGS should be ashamed of themselves. If they build features that ignore the customer input, they will fail. It is only a matter of time. History is ridden with Product companies that failed because they didn't listen to their customers...Blackberry, Kodak, Motorola, even Netflix (In 2011, Netflix ignored what their customers were asking for and split its DVD and streaming businesses, effectively increasing the price of both by 40%. The result was that 800 000 subscribers cancelled their service and in a survey Netflix was rated as one of the 10 most hated companies in the US.).

In the Product World that I come from, every product/feature meeting has an empty chair. That chair belongs to the invisible customer. Even if they are NOT in the room, we owe it to them to have their voice heard and their needs addressed.

GGS will fail unless their Product teams really learn to care about the customers who pay their bills.

Am not trying to pick on your comment.... just sharing my disgust at the way a Product company is handling Product development.

Well, they are the owners, and if they run the company into the ground, that's their choice.  The MO seems to be make as much cash as you can as quickly as you can, drop the game when it's no longer the cash cow, and move on to your next game.  Rinse and repeat.  Very short sighted, but if the entire company goes bust eventually by not caring about its customers, they'll just move on to something else for quick profits.  They probably wouldn't care what kind of business it is.

The Netflix example doesn't really work here because the the subscriber loss and revenue drop were brief.  Turned out to be a good long-term strategy after all.  They gained new subscribers, and stocks and revenues are very strong.  Stock prices have grown steadily over the past 5 years.  They even raised prices recently while increasing profits and keeping a strong customer base.

Sorry to say, but no, GGS is not listening to it's players, nor are they communicating with us. They are leaving us in the dark, most likely hoping we will get over it.  Ok they are scrambling to find something else screwed up to release so we can complain about that and forget about this.  rut-roh

    Remember this review Kai?

    "Greedgame!

Goodgame aka Greedgame management have spent two years ruining the Empire game and driving their customer base to other games. The proactive being let go makes perfect sense with what we have seen in game. It became all about how much they could make, not their customers. This was inevitable. I said this company would crumble and it is starting.

Customer service is terrible. Support is sketchy and never on weekends. They believe they deserve time off even when the game is down (USA! was down 2 1/2 days).

When you don't value ALL your players and make being competitive virtually impossible to the average player your demise is only a matter of time."

Yep, your doing it again. Ya gotta learn from past mistakes bro...

Hey, Shay  expect the cat, maybe they will all of a sudden have that new island farm  but dont think that is going to soothe the firestorm they have unleashed.   Rut --roh is right   at this point the trust is so torn  and this happens in their other games by GGS as well.

Continuously getting herring and tuna ponds...How can I complete my salmon contract ?

The whole fishing thing is a loss now...at least they need to reduce the cost of the equipment used to send the boats...

GGS only knows how to do one thing and that is ignore its customers totally.  We have not had a single word from the since this whole fiasco started.

Thank Shay, so sad I have to leave my farm there till.....don't know when?

I just simply don't want them keep thinking we'll cool down after a while or there will be even mean re balance after this.

So I won't log in for sure.

I do like quote your word "Thank you for (Totally screwing up) the Dockyard GGS!"

So we won't feel fun but disappointment.

i have 4 Shrimp pools and i only get 1 swordfish pool in 2-3 days and only around 30 swordfish :(

So best is to delete swordfish contracts in Fish market.
  • No Swordfish, Salmon and Cod for over a week now. Heaps and heaps of Tuna and herring. The new fish market contracts are mainly for Cod and Salmon. Took away ability to sell fish and now cannot fish to fill contracts plus consumables are far too expensive now. GGS will not listen as does not effect their profitability ..... bet they would sit up and notice if globally nobody bought gold for a week.

    hello guys,
    @WascallyWabbit
    @CuddlyFoxes
I would like to ask, as reading all posts I supppose that even not everyone see this update as total disaster, all plaeyer agree that no or very little availlability of some sort of fish in fishing areas makes using fising in any possible way (market, hradworker ect.) useless, I still havent found any official feedback on this exact problem if at least they are working on it. Or have I missed something? Or just I need to be more patient and give them more time to get any statement to this?

I thought It is definitely bug that came with fish update but as time goes I feel confused about this.

i think,, it works,,, I hear that lots of you aren't getting the right pools for the contracts needed,,, some need tuna,, some swordfish,,, a mixture,,, and this slows down the way money can be earnt from the market,,, eventually, you will use your fish,, I have been doing,, just about, lol,, but yes, I do have lots of cod and herring that are building up,, but I expect to use them later on in the game : ).... maybe I've been lucky with my pools and my contracts, but I am honestly still earning from these boats : ),, and quite sure others could too,, seen as I don't do nothing special, lol,, just sending out my boats : )

as for the ridiculous amount needed for contracts that give rakes/brushes is ridiculous : /...... but I have always seen that GGS regard their gifts with an astronomical value,, so, same story here : /....

but,, the way they have done the change,, even brought the DSF to us in the first place is all wrong in my opinion : (....I feel they knew what they were doing,, by allowing a short period of time where we could earn lots,,, the powerful players who play lots did lots more than not soo regular player,, so these, already strong farms got months of work done in days,,, and now with the change these not soo regular players are even further behind now : (....... but,, GGS got their testing done : /!!!

From the Spanish server say that in protest signal, due to changes in the high seas most cooperatives are not competing in the challenge with the motto
    0 missions, 0 gold, 0 roulette
  • sct (GB1)sct (GB1) Posts: 23
to add to my earlier comment,, about GGS getting their testing done..... I feel as tho the DSF is probably still not finished,, a few more changes may be needed to do with the pools,, so therefore, they are still testing,, on us : /.....

soo, with that in mind,, with us making it possible for the game to run more smoothly for players now, and players yet to come,, then they owe a very big thank you to us all,, at the very least : /..... and nothing would say 'thank you' more, for me : ),, than a no gold or purple tournament : )....

....oh yeah,,,, no wheel game either : /...........

So you are the lucky one. Except for the first day after the update, I have had no pools with swordfish, salmon and cod.
  • NO MORE GOLD PURCHASES - EVER
GGS has made Ultimate Fools of some of us... me included! Lets see how I have spent a Bucket full of Real World Money in just the last month... Hmmm
1: Spent a Fortune to run thru Dockyard upgrades + Speed Complete - Cha Ching
2: Spent a FORTUNE rebuilding Flower Farm to be High Production - 14 Apiaries, 8 orchards, 7 Meadows & a ton of Houses All maxed to 7 - used gold to do in 1 day - Cha Ching
3: built a 14 fleet of trawlers - All lvl 5 - paid gold to speed in 1 day - Cha Ching

What a dirty joke!!! Hmmm, Imake -0- income on Deep Sea now. Can't harvest on flower farm, because unlike the other 2 farms... you lose millions every day for high production!

You said this is about 'Balance'? I didn't see a balance for the Gold Sales STOLEN!
Yes Stolen, because you sold me goods that were of ZERO Value within weeks... that is Stealing!

I don't come or comment here... it took Serious thievery on GGS part to motivate me.
I won't leave the game, but I WILL have the last laugh!
I Vow to NEVER EVER pay for 1 more piece of gold... EVER!

Fleeced Farmers Unite... NO More Gold Purchases!!!
