The ratio between those who have joined this game & those who actually visit the forum is the real unbalance factor here.....which brings to mind......"all we like sheep have gone astray"....because they are not informed, if so, you are taxed with a dilemma of doing something and many don't want that...sadly they will follow the leader off the cliff someday and not know why.
But I ask you...what can we do but play on or quit...and this becomes our dilemma
Maybe the mods can use the brushes and rakes to clean up the mess left by Hurricane Deep Sea lol
Well played, GGS, well played. You seem to be able to suck the fun out of anything.
Brat Pack
However it is a well known business fact 1 negative review reachs out and affects more consumers than 100 good reviews.
I too will go public with my review.

Making plans for an extremely weak showing in Co operative Challenge. No Gold, and not using my precious rakes, sparkles, and brushes. Going dirt cheap, and just a few missions a day to clear side bars and get a few certs. RP points are the least of my concern since GGS decided game advancement means nothing to them.
I'd like a nice large submarine equipped with torpedos so I can just sink my own ships. Turn my once profitable shipyard into a coral reef.
Yea, can I have that please?

I am still very angry.
I still want my cash being held hostage in inventory.
I would also like an apology for the complete disregard of not notifying players in the game of such a drastic change and for not giving ample time to sell off dockyard related inventory.
Breakdown on the Lab
126,321,371,000 (lab cost) ÷ 5,000,000 (Average daily earnings) = 25,264.27 days
25,264.27 (days) ÷ 365 (days in a year) = 69.22 years to fully upgrade the Lab
That's if you use the daily earnings to upgrade the Lab ONLY, no spending on other upgrades, islands, boosters, or anything else.
I request a good review of changes being made and a quick resolve.
I allready know off 3 players, not including myself in my own coop that will quit the game if this is what it is.
fishing has made dead by the changes, so i do not fish anymore
hope for a quick fix, otherwise i am out, witch is a pitty but not enjoying a game is silly
No one is swallowing this mess and GGS itself remains completely and UTTERLY silent which in and of itself speaks VOLUMES
The mods claim to also be players and affected in the same manner as the rest of us. Yet as mods they are here voluntarily - assuming they dont get paid - and can walk away form this fiasco at any time instead of taking it personally. WE did not ask them or beg them to do this.
The mods state their "official announcements" are not created by them - just have their name on it. If i had to post the regurgitated "message" trying to tell the players it is for our benefit I WOULD HAVE RUN not walked to the nearest exit as a mod and told GGS they needed some other stooge to post such sludge.
I don't think you are the problem per say other than not taking the truth to your bosses ...but here is your dilemma....if you are not "brown shirt" enough for them you could be replaced....if you go to them for US...you could be replaced...
Absolute power corrupts absolutely...
I thought you mods were our advocate....maybe I got that wrong, if so we need one desperately. It could help both sides.
Thank you for that Wascally, much appreciated, I do remember that now you have said it! I will keep plugging away until I get a 3rd contact
That would definitely be a market I bother to use, if developers could possibly look in to it?
i allready discussed the option that this update would have been wisely made it possible for us to sell off all our fish, for one time, or maybe for 1 week. then you give us the power to do so ...or not.
because 2 days notice only on forum is not a good communication of comming changes.
and...
if you are on holiday right now, you dont even know off any change and .... you get a very ugly surprise
The solution is so simple: (1) keep the game fun and make it something people want to buy gold for. (2) Of most importance, make it so that purchased gold is safeguarded from accidental spending. I am not alone in being a player who has been waiting to purchase gold, but won't until those safeguards are in place.
GGS, you are losing out on untold numbers of gold purchases by refusing to implement this.
Hate coops but missing out on the benefits? Check out "Hearts of Gold," the non-coop coop -- we leave you alone to farm your way. No donations or group participation required.

On the negative side, I strongly object to this statement:
"it (the game paying the rewards it was) would have had a negative effect on your game and your enjoyment of it (though we know this can be hard to see in the short term)."
I find this patronising and presumptuous. They are making assumptions about me and my enjoyment of the game, in an effort to shift their issues onto me. And its a nice try, but I ain't having it.
On the other hand, I think the message is sincere, their issue was real, and that they were well intentioned. I think they did not predict accurately how the deep sea fishing was going to pan out. The run away success of us all building fleets quickly and rushing out to sea so we could start earning millions and billions, and buy up all the land and assets in quadruple quick time, that would be hard to keep ahead of. And i think this panicked them. So they had to come up with some sort of a solution as quickly as possible, to contain the rush.
