If you look at the 'minimum time' for Tuna and Herring and compare it to those of Lobster, Cod, Salmon and Swordfish, it does seem rather off-kilter.
Thanks for digging up the information though!
I don't remember jumps like this happening during the first event... but maybe I was just more lucky then with types of fish that were needed.
i tested lobster in the first FHWE and a friend tested it in this one and going to 10 will drop you to minutes (and we were both adding over 1k the required number for level 10) - as you'd expect in hardworker
i tested cod this time around, on level 9 only needing 28 to go to 10, so dumped 1,300 cod in to see if it would run level 10 for hours, but sure enough, it dropped to minutes as i expected
the numbers ive been seeing (of types ive fished) are similar to the Figures sheet posted a few comments back, and as that shows (tho in hungary not GB but same here) there's no way to get lobsters to run that long on our server
It went smooth to begin with ,lots of oysters and salmon , easy peacy
Now i am beginning to wonder where in the game the herrings is hiding ??
I'v got 5 really nice spots with shellfish and 1 with sword ,salmon and ...i don't know it looks like cod
It has been like this since yesterday .... i even tried to send the boats out on random but no herring anywhere??
Is it supposed to be like that ..that i cant be sure to go for the fish i need when i need them?
If i have posted in a wrong spot SORRY i'v been reading a lot in her but this was the best place up to now
Happy farming every on
Keep trying to fish out holes which will help new holes to show up sooner is all I can say. I need a tuna/herring hole and none to be found at the moment... hoping one will show soon!
The figures posted are pretty much what I'm seeing. Except that when you can have tune running for 15 hours at speed 10, then you go from 38+ hours of lobsters (at speed 9) down to 40 minutes at speed 10, and compare that to tuna, things are going to seem broken. Hence my original comment. I'd never managed to reach 10 on the last fishing hard worker, so my initial thought was wondering if something had changed in a hotfix that I never noticed when instead of having going from 38 to 19 hours of lobsters (which is the behaviour I was expecting) it went from 38 to less than 1. It was a bit of a blow.
The figures show that salmon, cod, swordfish and lobsters become about 80 times more difficult going from speed 9 to speed 10. That's quite a marked change when the level before it was only 3 times more difficult!
we would need to find a way to compare the event lvls!
Chart.
Ever.

It is going to be a nervy thing to go fishing during hard work event ... haha
Never mind .At least i now know what to do without getting lost in blindness (if its possible to say so in English)
Thakyou thankyou thankyou from a lvl 34 (if it is the watery blue stares u count)
ps : i now have 3 holes with swordfish ,salmon, cod and 2 with shellfish and 1 lobster i guess herring is out of season
There are a few things that need to be improved about deep sea fishing (and I'll probably get to it when I have time), but when it comes to it, here GGS owes us nothing, cause they gave us so much dollars in this feature, that it's only reasoneable to step back, relax and show a bit of appreciation.
I wish I had time to type a more detailed response, but never mind. As the things are right now, maybe I'll regret posting even this bit later on.
Thank you GGS for the fishing region!!! I personally love it!
I really don't care much for the whole fishing thing. BTW….. what exactly is the chum used for?
Shrimp chum for example. Is it made FROM shrimp? Or used to catch MORE shrimp?
Doesn't seem to do anything. And as usual, the game offers NO suggestions what so ever.
And please, no one bother sending me to pages that read like college courses with spread sheets and all that. This is suppose to be a simple game.
So I just keep sending boats, they catch a single shrimp for each trip. Tried with and without a crew, no difference I can see. Just boring.
Try catching lobster for example. You won't need lobster pots, but you need crew to extend your time whilst fishing, and probably could do with crew to increase the catch rate per hour. Other crew to speed journey time to and from the fishing spots can be left out if you wish.
The 'info' button on the chum shows that it increases the catch rate by a percentage, for certain types of fish. I've not bothered much with it myself though.
