I just cleaned out all my oyster pools last night and had only lobster and herring pools this morning when event started. New pools spawned after I cleaned the lobster pools are more lobster. I currently have 3 lobster pools and 3 herring pools.  Maybe in another 1.5 hrs I can actually start fishing for oysters and then tomorrow I could actually start the event, (but maybe I'll just get lobster and herring again). In any case I'll be in bed in 1.5 hrs, bed time. This random pool thing makes me not even want to try

ok so last night got 2 new pools: salmon and herring. This morning's new pools are again salmon and herring. A day and half into the event and I still cant even start it. If this event is supposed to spark my enthusiasm of fishing, it has failed miserably.
  • next time just prepare before this event. fishing HWE starts on friday.. so before it stars just sent your boats to random locations to get random fish.. and I guess its always starts with the same product- oysters  :/

But how can we tell when hwe is going to start?

Further question to this one: Has anyone done a chart of the amount of each fish required for each level in the FHWE? @Southern (US1) ?

HWE and CC starts on fridays..so next friday will be CC, then next friday will be HWE. anyway..be prepared every friday..  :D
  • Nothing changes very fast on the FHWE, I been 400 behind someone for the last 24 hours.   Nearly everyone is in 9th gear, all the time...

btw....  Try 10th gear at your peril...  LOL

I know Damaria, I got one of each last night , the tuna & herring pool and a salmoncod/ swordfish pool, and then the same again this morning. Just didnt want to type each kind of fish out. Point is: I have no oysters.

    New pool just spawned..........

    (wait for it)..............................

Lobster again. will I ever get to start this event?
I give up, this is totally unfair.

Don't feel bad, I have been in last place since the event began. Instead of being in 9th gear, I am parked in the garage. Without a battery and no fuel.

The only answer to getting the fish you need is to be able to fish out the pools you've got as fast as you can.  If you've got a close to home Shrimp pool, send a trawler there and fish it out in a couple of hours so it'll spawn a new pool.  Do that often enough and you'll end up with the fish needed for your FHWE task.

That's what I do too!  Right now I am looking for more herring or swordfish pools, but I will have to clear out the lobster pools first. So hopefully I will get them.

Glad that works for you guys but after 2 days of  fishing out the pools, I still have no oysters. I am almost level 53 in fishing, I know how it should work, it just isnt giving me oysters.
I have had enough. I am outta here

Edit: After posting the above I finally got an oyster pool. I was so excited I sent a boat immediately but  forgot to add crew & freezer

Strange, I didn't get a notification for this comment, I just happened to stumble across it. Definitely have all my notifications enabled. *Shrug*

At for the amount required, No, don't have a sheet for that. I tried making one for the REGULAR HWE and the points per second & time remaining seemed to change every time I tried it, so gave up on it.

Is there a possible bug with the hard worker event? Packing at speed 10 when I packed lobsters and Salmon didn't produce the result I expected. Or has it changed?

For example when it was running at speed 9, there was nearly 4 hours of time to run, but as soon as I unloaded a boat that put it to speed 10, it dropped down to 6 minutes at speed 10. That seemed at odds with my previous experiences of the hard worker event, the normal and the fishing (I think speed 10 with tuna worked fine) so has anything changed?

How can you possibly go from  1 day at 9 per second to 42 minutes at 10 per second for the extra 32  needed to go from 9 to 10 per second

its outrageous and i feel totally ripped off  what a joke

    there are 86,400 seconds in 24 hours  @ 9 per second  = 777,600
now im down to only 25,200 because i went up to ten per second

HOW CAN THIS POSSIBLY BE RIGHT

GGS you owe me at least 750,000 points :expressionless:

I agree, I had cod and was at 9 points per second for 2 hours. I misclicked and harvested a skipjack with 50ish cod and jumped straight to 10 points per second for 2 minutes. I managed to get it up to 5 with some other boats, but this was really disappointing. The max I can see myself managing now is 8 points per second, 9 or 10 is definitely not worth it in my view.
  • I feel like i have been mugged by GGS this is insane  to loose almost 23 hours  worth of points
im as far past ( censored) with this (censored) game as i could possibly be

GGS are seriously not on the same  planet
  • I have not had a fishing spot for Cod/swordfish/Salmon for 3 days. Resets give mainly lobsters. Some players have even had all 6 spots for lobsters for 24 hours. How is this fair.
  • edited 25.06.2017
its not this whole  fishing hard work event needs a total rethink
some cant even start it for 24 hours
this loss of time when you  go from each amount per second needs looking into cos to  loose 23 hours 15 minutes for collecting an extra 32 lobsters is insanity at its best

  • And it just gets worse i would have easily passed the 1.2 million points for the GML  now im going to struggle cos the stuff i  need  isnt available in  the numbers i need  this really sucks big time

I made that mistake earlier with salmon. I was sitting on a 1 day+ at 9 points per second countdown and with another 300 salmon ready for collect I expected minimum 12-15 hours of 10 points per second.....it ended up 28 minutes at 10 pps, I couldn't believe it! I should still manage to scrape to 1.2 million but it would have been A LOT easier without this blunder....lesson learned I guess!
  • i work weekend nights 12 hour shifts  this would have taken me through the night to when i arrived home on monday morning now it will run out while im at work and  wont be able to collect anything till i get home

to say im mad is a serious understatment
  • Yea, mine went from 3 hours to 2 minutes.    Everyone seems to be at speed 9.

  • @andyhudson1965 (GB1) I am sorry to hear that you lost out on such a large amount of time & totally understand that you are upset by it, but I am confused why it surprises you or that you feel it is wrong, because that is how the HWE has always worked.

From the Announcement, when the event was introduced back in July 2015:
    • Since the machine is rather old and pushed to its limits easily, the remaining time until a box is moved automatically will decrease the higher the productivity gauge goes. This is a security precaution.
The drop in time from 9 points to 10 is the most severe & has always only run for a few minutes on 10 points with the anims looking like it is about to explode. However, just in case something is wrong, we will pass on your feedback & ask that it be checked, but I suspect they will say that it is working as intended. :(

  • You people....that are moaning.....havent a clue how any HWE works.

    Im like sigh :(

    First FHWE....I learned and adapted.

Now im good to go again and once more in top 50.
    Its EASY.

Its not GGS.....its players that cant plan.

    Simple.

I know the drop off between 9 to 10 points is a fair bit (The normal hard worker event is rough) but there does seem some discrepancy. Just 24 hours previous I had tuna at speed 10 that lasted 14 hours. To have salmon and lobsters become 97% more difficult going from 9 to 10 doesn't seem correct. I've got Tuna coming up again soon, so I'll try it at speed 10 to see if my previous experience with tuna (working as I'd expect it to work) still holds true.

Edit: When I say 97% more difficult, I meant more like 970%. 110% more difficult is what I'd expect (giving slightly less than half the time previous) is what I'd normally expect. So from 4 hours of time I was expecting it to drop to ~2 hours. Not 6 minutes.

Similar experience with Herring. Went from 9 to 10 with only a modest drop in packing time.

I'm glad Herring might not seem to be affected. I'm on herring at present! So it'd be nice to run it at speed 10 and compare it - and reassure myself that I'm not imagining things too.
