Update June 8th - Job Center, Deep Sea Changes & More!

Hello everyone,


We trust that you are all enjoying the deep sea fishing we brought to Big Farm two weeks ago! 

Now, as promised, we’re bringing you the Job Center  --  among other nice things !   

You will undoubtedly be excited to see that your feedback and suggestions have been heard and attended to, with some great adjustments made to features and also new things added.

The Job Center

With the Job Center you’ll be able to hire season specialists to boost the output of White Sand (Dry Field), Clay (Wet Field) and Rocks (Stony Field).


What you will need

- Be part of a cooperative and upgrade the Job Center in the Cooperative Village.

- Fields, meadows and gardens.

- Village Dollars (or gold).



How it works - The Specialists

- Season specialists have different stats which depend upon the type of currency you use to hire them: village dollars (or gold).

- By upgrading the Job Center, your cooperative will unlock better specialists with better stats.
- The stats can differ on the following aspects:  working time, hiring cost, production outcome, duration of season (total number of production cycles).

- You can hire up to 3 specialists for each type of material:

3 "Pump Mechanics" for wet facilities

3 "Sand Shovellers" for dry facilities

3 "Rock Pickers" for stony facilities

This means that you can have 9 season specialists at any given time.

- After each season, you can either dismiss them or renew their contracts (via pop-up).

- You can renew specialists’ contracts up to 10 times in a row, and each time they get better characteristics / stats.

- If you want to hire a better specialist and there’s already a hired one working on a field, you have to wait for him to finish his work, or you can skip the time with gold.

- A new button will be included in the ring menu.


And finally, production penalty from the edge plants will be reduced by 10 % (70% -> 60%).



Dockyard and Deep Sea optimizations


We received a lot of feedback regarding the new deep sea feature, and made some adjustments there:


  • when the boat returns from a fishing trip, details of the catch will now be displayed in the *tooltip 

  • fish spots will reset as soon as the spot is empty and the last boat from this location has returned to the harbour.

  • there will now be a small indicator to shows you which item is effective on which type of boat.

  • four new recipes will be added to the fish restaurant, all of them can drop seaweed (for use in the farm laboratory): 
    Seafood Bowl      
    Fried Fish Buffet   
    Canned Fish       
    Rare Fillet           

  • three new recipes will be added to the farm laboratory.  These recipes use chum to create mystery boxes:

    • Bronze Mystery box

    • Silver Mystery box

    • Gold Mystery box

  • a tooltip will be added to the fishing spots to show the remaining time the spot will be active for

  • a new tooltip will be added to show the calculations of the fishing and travel time applicable when you want to send out a boat to a spot

  • chum production in the dockyard will now also drop seaweed

  • you will now be able to see the name and the level of each boat in it's tooltip (once you've renamed the boat)

  • the prices of chum have been recalculated.

  • the dockyard on the Flower Farm will now behave like the one on the deep sea side except that it won't allow you build and equip boats

  • consecutive boxes for the fishing Hard Worker Event will no longer ask for fish from the same location


Other changes:

The Flower Farm will now have its own Nursery!
         -   Meadows on the Flower Farm will now drop the following collectibles:*

                             *aloe vera: manpower*
                             *vanilla: teamwork*
                             *jasmine: lunchbox*
                             *lavender: businesscard*


The date for the update has not yet been confirmed.  We will let you know as soon as this information becomes available, as well as provide info on any other additions, should there be any.

* "tooltip" refers to the little box with information that pops up when you hover your mouse (without actually clicking it)  over a building or facility.  It provides useful information regarding the building/facility.

  • Here is the list of bugs that will also be fixed during the coming update:

    - Reward decorations in the candy farm event overview should have Village Happiness.
    - The fishing output booster from the amphibian farm machine should now show the correct amount of fish after fishing manually.
    - Constructions should now be properly displayed on all farms if the player was demolishing undergrowth during an update.
    - Cooperatives at village level 52 should no longer see a negative xp requirement for the next level.
    - Breeding horses on the meadow should no longer result in an error in some rare cases.
    - Buildings should no longer disappear in outline view.
    - Tooltips should now show the correct harvest amount for wet / dry / rocky fields.
    - The secret achievement in the second row can now be completed again.
    - The time reduction booster should now also work in the fishing region.
    - Fishing locations should now properly despawn when empty (as soon as all boats there have fish ready to collect).
    - It should no longer be possible to send a boat to a location with no fish left.
    - Chum should now correctly increase the amount of fish received.
    - The dockyard is no longer considered for the harvest timers. As a consequence, the flower farm and fishing region timers should now work correctly. The dockyard will be readded at a later time.
    - The dockyard now shows how many chum are produced. This amount can now also be increased.
    - Building time for boats is now displayed in the manage boats dialog.
    - Boats that are being built / upgraded / demolished should now have a timer above them.
    - Farm switches should now work properly during fireworks.
    - The background should no longer overlap with the background from a different farm.
    - Performance increases during village league challenges, especially for large cooperatives.

    Here is more news regarding a change that will come into play with the update:

    -  The village league reward shop will now be available to be accessed at any time you desire (during the week). The preview shop will be removed.

    PLEASE NOTE: This change is not permanent, it will only continue until a planned optimization of the feature is completed. The "Last chance" pop-up will still happen, with the weekly reset of medals & prices.

  • The update will happen today.  
    We will inform you of the time if we get sufficient warning but it will most likely not be before midday CEST  :smiley:
