i need shrimp and cant find any, the holes are empty, cant even get my boats on them now.
just switch farms, close your browser, reopen the game... who knows what you will find next time you go to the fishing region... IMHO
The green +1's indicate how many rewards you get. Since there's only 9 slots, they use the +1's to indicate 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, or 16 rewards (max on a level 1 Jetty is 16 rewards). You'll notice on the screenshot that Gavin posted there are 9 slots, and (7) +1's. That's a total of 16 rewards.
Count up all the rewards.. 5+1+1+1+2+2+2+1+1 = 16
Quantities will vary every time the boat comes in, but there should always be 16 (so long as the friendship meter is maxxed @ 100% and there's 7 green +1's).
Hint: COOKIES are the absolute best. Only takes 5 to go from 0% to 100%. Only takes 4 to go from 25% to 100%.
Avoid Carp Patties.
{Note: Per Karen's post below, these numbers are probably only valid with a Level 1 Jetty. Or maybe Co-Op size. Will take more investigation to make sure which one}
Ugh.. Not looking forward to upgrading the Jetty then. SOB already wants 3,000+ nails every 12 hours, I'd hate to see how many he wants @ Level 3.
Last supply box, and yes the amount of nails goes up and up and up. I'll grab a screenshot of the amounts tonight and share later.
@Marowit @Pichu (or any player paying more attention then me) Question: Has there been unanounced tweak on deap see fish quantities? I didn't pay much attention cause work load left me with near zero gaming time for last few days but the number of fish caught is much lower now then it was during FHWE. Although it looks like previous multplied catch was a bug and current state is correction to intended function, I didn't see any anouncement of this major reduction in quantities. It would be in general well over 50 % reduction in dollar gain and swimming in cash could turn into mere wading through shallow knee deep cash waters only. .
Cash still won't be a problem - a single Level 1 Trawler can bring back 118 Swordfish, worth $5,568,184 in around 15 hours or less, almost all profit. Multiply that by 10 trawlers, and that's $50 million every 15 hours (long as you have enough Swordfish, anyway). Even if you have to settle for Salmon or Cod, it's still a metric ton of cash every day. (Heck, it may be TOO much cash, I'd like to see what @Meela has to say about it since he's our numbers guy)
But there are not enough swordfish. I have fleet of trawlers now (though most at level 3). You get lobsters and crustaceons a lot, and you have to either fish those spots until they are empty or wait 24 hours. So the cash, while very nice, won't be nearly as super-abundant as that.
So only 16K+ tonight
Loving those tool boxes, I may actually complete those darn new machines yet since I rarely have any drop on the farm for months now. Not sure why the drop back to 19, windows said we'd get the 2 additional gifts, but doesn't look like that happened.
Kind of lame tonight, 3 previous all had some good seaweed items, but hey we all love goodies.
It'll take me a couple of weeks of tracking (I track all my fish on a weekly basis), but it wouldn't surprise me to see upwards of $15 million a day from Deep Sea Fishing. I've made $25 million from it just in the last 3 days and I just started building my Trawler fleet yesterday.
We have a level 2 boat and I usually get 16, in the way that you described.
(The nails for upgrading the boat from 2 to 3 would be 508,000. I have mentioned the absurdity of this in the past, but GGS has thus far overlooked it.)
I don't think fishing "without equipment" is a bug. See Marowit explanation a few posts above, which sounds meaningfull to me. You get bits with just a boat (basic crew and gear included), or a lot more if you bother with the "extra" equipment hassle. I think many more would ignore the deep fishing if you couldn't fish without extra gear. I haven't bothered with it either yet. All I had time for so far was just building, upgrading and sending "empty" boats.

stil those r empty....pl guide what to do
tried loggin in logging out many times
tried wtiching farms so many times nothig hapened
would be great if you can add sell values next to them too, so we can find the cheapest donation amount (if not, i will do it when I have time)
Oh, I can think of one difference. If you FULLY repair him within 60 minutes, you get an extra 1 (or 2) common (Co-Op) rewards. You'd definitely lose those extra rewards (not that I think anyone would care, one or two less seeds. Big whoop. )
Right now the 2 trawlers on the right are bringing home 236 Swordfish ($11 Million worth). The Trawler, Wherry & Runabout are bringing back 203 Lobster ($3.6 million). That's almost $14 million not even counting the tuna, herring, shrimp, clams & oysters (the latter 3 I'm just clearing the spot out with). And when THOSE boats get back, I'll clean out the 518 Lobster with 4 Trawlers (got 1 still building off screen now) for another $9+ Million. So yeah, $15 million a day shouldn't be a problem, so long as the boats don't sit too long at the dock.
I think @Marowit is right (from that link you posted), we're going to need a swimming pool.
Although personally I'd prefer a money bin like Scrooge McDuck.
I'm facing a little problem with the travel times to go fishing.
Normally, it's easy to understand and calculate :
2 times the normal time travel (from dockyard to fishing place or the travel back)
- 2 times the reduction (that from the boat itself and the optional by crew members added)
+ the effective fishing time
= total time
That's what I used before, but someone wrote me a message having difficulties to get the right time, seeing a difference between the outside calculus and the in game time that the boat show when departing.
And I've got the same problem when I tried to calculate on paper and compare it with the in game numbers.
If I take a level one motorboat the reduction is naturally of 30 min, the fishing localtion has a 1:37:30 of normal time travel
(1:37:30 is 97 minutes and 30 seconds, 1:42:00 is 102 minutes)
simple travel time then is 97:30 minus 30:00 = 67:30
multiplying that 67:30 by 2 for the round trip and we get 135 minutes
then we need to add the fishing time of 102 minutes, we get at the end 237 minutes or 3:57:00
that's the calculus, but when I sent the boat, and immediately did a sprint screen, I got a very different time in game
The problem is getting deeper with changing an option in the same boat by a crew member to reduce the travel time.
(1:37:30 is 97 minutes and 30 seconds, 1:42:00 is 102 minutes)
simple travel time then is 97:30 minus 39:00 = 58:30
multiplying that 58:30 by 2 for the round trip and we get 117 minutes
then we need to add the fishing time of 102 minutes, we get at the end 219 minutes or 3:39:00
But again, I've gone back to testing in game and immediately used the sprint screen, and we're far from that theorical time.
In the theorical calculus the difference between the 2 situations is good, 2 times the 9 minutes reduce the time travel by 18 minutes (going from 3 hours and 57 minutes to 3 hours and 39 minutes).
With the in game displays shown here there's not a 18 minutes difference between the 2 as it should, We see something like a 49 minutes difference (between the 3:33 and 2:44)
I don't think that my calculations are wrong, and if I'm right, then there's something wrong with the in game behaviour regarding travel time. If I've got it wrong, explain where I missed something, that would be really helpful.
The calculations and the online display where right just after the dockyard got on the game, but now there's a problem.
Have a nice day
(forgive me for my bad english)
Two other empty spots did vanish and I got new ones. So, I don't know if this is a bug or if there's a limit on getting new fishing locations.
my fellow coop memebrs got new fishing area after 5mins of getting emptied
but my fishing area r stucked there only for 2 days and boats resting on dock
GGS plz fix it
i have 14 trawlers now
but few boats always remaining on dock due to this
There are 13 fishing locations in total, of which 6 should be visible active in your screen. What fish are in it is a surprise, for everybody different .... I f.i. do have 4 of them filled with lobster today ... while I could use some cod/salmon
A fishing location will reset after 24 hours, or as soon as you've emptied it. This is how I understood things.
If all of your fishing locations are empty, maybe refreshing, switching between farms or log off/log on again could help.
I managed to dig up what Wascally Wabbit posted last week about this:
"When you are not having certain fish available at any locations - There are 13 different fishing locations, of which 6 should always be active. When one location has been emptied of fish, it will close & a new location will open (hopefully with the fish you want). If an empty one does not disappear, go to a different farm & back again. Locations also reset after 24 hours."
It's an image so you can save it if you'd like to print later.
edit by me: Had to replace the image, the total slots for Motorboat was incorrect
But I will have to calculate to get a daily total. I know this much. My balance is above where it was last week, when this started...so it has paid for all of my boats and that alone was a decent sum of money.
But this will help make certain game items affordable to the higher level player. I know that there complaints that Matilda, Lester's Stash, and the Lab all become unaffordable to upgrade quite quickly. This should help to remedy that. Only players with fleets of trawlers are going to pull in the mega bucks and you still have to high game levels to unlock the trawler past level 1, so players will still have to level-up to get to the point where they can pull in the mega bucks.
