Horse Meadow Help

stef7 (US1)stef7 (US1) US1 Posts: 460
Going by the video you do not lose the hose when you use the coop meadow breeding. Now I thought you would keep the horse plus get a new one. So you would have 2 horses.

Can anyone tell me if that is how it works?

OR do you just change the values of the horse you have and not get a second one?

Can any on one clear this up for me?

I am very confused by this even after watching the video.

Thank you for the help

Well I did do this on tester and you just keep your horse no new horse given but really not understanding how this is better or if worth doing at all.  A clear answer needs to be given by a developer  and we have them although it seems they have all been In hiding.

I did it on test too.
I look upon it as a way of improving your horse without having to use horseshoes
I will be interested to see what happens if I breed with a horse many levels higher than mine.

thanks all. I did it on the test just before I asked the question. Real Game the village is not even close to level 20.

If we do not get the new 2nd horse I am not sure either what the point is. My horse was better going in then going out as far as number of effects.

Maybe if you have the meadow upgraded enough but not at a low level dose it seem worth it.

Any way thank you for clearing it up as to the new 2nd horse. I am thankful for the info.
  • I searched but could not find anything on this subject
I added a level 39 horse with no abilities to the horse meadow stable.
I gave those yellow circle things and got 330 hearts
I then gave it sugar and it went down to 306
I then gave it the yellow circles again and it went down to 35 hearts.

What am I doing wrong?  I can't do activity care yet as we are not at high enough levels.

Any suggestions would be welcome and I thank you in advance.

This is what I know about this from using the test server and what was written about this  they say the order of things given will affect the happiness, when on the test farm we were given the blanket, ball - exercise jump-brush ect and I would use one of these then treat then one of those then feed and got horses done four times I think that is difficult because I doubt anyone is making those special items yet' all we can really use is the honey drops, pellets sugar starting out here.

    Thank you,
I see we can start doing the jumping obstacle at level 8 on mineral which we will get to by the end of the day.
I am now thinking that  maybe we leveled up to fast because to compensate (fix bugs) the warehouse was automatically raised to level 12.  Which allowed us to open the horse meadow sooner than we normally would have?

  • So, is the horse meadow bug free? Or at least not going to require people to leave a coop every now and then?

Well I cant say that with any certainty we had such a short time on the test server which was way to short in my opinion but was able to do a horse four times not the same horse we are still learning there for sure.

Thanks for the info you do have @Damaria3 (US1) We will be hopefully building the horse meadow in the next day or two, so any info is greatly appreciated. :)

  • I have not found any ability to use the horse meadow because I can only make pellets and horse treats, which only slightly raise the mating capability, and it would take me much more than a month to get it up to anywhere near mating capability.  It's been a disappointing waste of time.
In the test server, where some free higher level items were available, it seemed more likely to have some benefit, but I was unable to really reach that level before the test server was shut down, even though I was able to take my personal test farm to level 90+.

You can just wait til your factories are upgraded enough to make some of the items for you to use with the horse meadow then put a horse in. No need to rush ;) Congrats! on getting your Test farm up :)
  • i did manage to use the meadow once on my horse. You need to change up the order of treats significantly. At first I had pellets and sugar cubes. The heart increase was abysmal (some as low as 1-2 each time).

I cannot produce honey or olive oil yet since I am too low level; instead I used dollars to buy olive oil and honey for the products. Afterwards, the jumping set gave me over 2000 hearts, and the brush gave me 1000+.

You need at least 4 different products to breed a horse (the more the better). If you have less than 4 TYPES, don't bother doing horse breeding. Level up the factories in coop village until you can have at least 4 types.

    I have: 1) Concentrated Pellet (267/20)
                 2) Honey Pellets (36/20)
                 3) Horse Treats (16/20)
                 4) Currycombs (29/20)

So I have 4 items, now what is the most effective order in which to use them to get the heart rate high enough for successful breeding?  Or do I need some of the other pieces of equipment in order to succeed in the breeding process?

Different items have varying effect depending on what time of the day/night cycle you give them to your horse.  click the middle tab in bottom of left side window panel to see the sun/stars at the top of the left side panel  (I hope this is correct description of how to see the sun/stars dial - it's been a while since I was on the test server)

I also remember from the Original Announcement that is said something like "different combinations work better than others, experiment to find what works best"

Good Luck - let us know what you do so we can all learn from your successes or mistakes.
  • I did manage to breed my horse at the horsemeadow. I thought I will get a foal, but I didn't
I don't understand, does it means my horse fail to breed, or what?
I even turn the wheel twice before I breed my horse
we can not get the first horse back to stable unless we didn't take care of him, right? and if we breed him, what do we get?
and, by the way, the time at the horse meadow never change, always 7 days.
  • Data King (US1)Data King (US1) US1 Posts: 7,994
You will get a new foal put into your horse stable once you are able to do a successful breeding. I suggest that you try to mate another horse of the same level or close with the same or similar enhancements for a better chance at getting a successful breeding. Watch what time of day it is when you treat, care for and or work your horse. Check the activity history.
  • Wons (AU1)Wons (AU1) AU1 Posts: 223
I did breed 1 horse to test as well. Got the same training level with the new horse and you lose the original horse or it gets "set free" after breeding.
That much I have worked out but I'm still very confused about the ring around your horse as you take care of it in the meadow. It shows how many hearts and the effect on the ring, but there are a lot of circles there. I have another horse there now and have brought it to where it can be bred but I've kept going with the care to see what happens.
Does anyone have any idea on how long we can keep caring for the horse and what happens if you just keep going instead of breeding it straight away?
  • Data King (US1)Data King (US1) US1 Posts: 7,994
I have managed to breed a horse in the horse meadow and received a foal in place of the horse I sent into the horse meadow for breeding.
If you treat, care for and or work your horse while it i in the horse meadow then the timer restarts each time. Only when you leave the horse there does it remain for 7 days then returns to your horse stable.
  • Question @Data King  if I mate a horse does have any effect on the other members' horse I am mating with. If so what are the effects do I have to worry about who mates his/her horse with mine

No just yours gets the effect if any. Try to find a horse around the same level with the same enhancements to breed with. Ask the members who have put a horse into the meadow about this.
You have no choice of who else may mate with your horse, but it will not effect your horse just theirs.

Two of the times that I successfully breed my horse at the meadow I didn't receive the added attribute.

It showed 100 percent chance to receive the attribute, and it showed as added with the green check mark on the your breeding was successful screen. But when I checked the new horse in the stable the attribute wasn't added.

I did receive the added attributes on the four other occasions that I successfully breed my horses at the meadow.

So, I'm not sure If I did something wrong on those two occasions or if its a bug.

It depends on how many enhancements the horse had going into the meadow. At this time if your horse meadow was just built or level 1, then just put horses that are ready to get their second enhancement into the meadow. If you put a horse in with 2 enhancements already then the meadow will not help in this area, until your co op is able to get the horse meadow upgraded enough to be able to accept horses with 3 enhancements.

Both times this happened the horse had zero meadow enhancements, and only one regular enhancement. I now have a horse that is meadow generation 2, but has zero meadow enhancements.
I am referring to the breeding enhancement of the horse going into the meadow.
The meadow enhancements are separate. The horse coming out may or may not have earned a meadow enhancement yet. I feel that in order to get a meadow enhancement we are going to have to be able to open the gene distribution area. At this time the meadow hearts, kind of yellowish in color, seem to be record of how many times that horse has been successfully breed in the horse meadow. It may work similar to the stable breeding steps by using generations with the meadow hearts.

If other horse enthusiasts would care to share their findings. This may worth another thread.

How do you know what activity each item does?

Best bet is to try them see what works for you.You may want to keep an eye on the"Activity history" for the time of day you use the item on the horse.

Horse breeding is a crock. Member just put in a horse (B Beauty-25) - breeding was successful & received horse (Goldy-25) but lost B Beauty.
