  •      This entire update is just plain really bad in the way that it has been handled.  The company certainly is being managed VERY BADLY in my opinion.  Absolutely no concern for customer service or customer input. Listening to your customers is a basic beginning business principal!!  Whoever is managing this, should be fired immediately!!!
FIXING WHAT IS WRONG BEFORE EXPANDING YOUR COMPANY SHOULD ALSO BE DONE!!! This game could be one if the best around except for the lousy management and concern for customer service --OVER A MONTH TO GET A SUPPORT REQUEST BACK!!!   Ridiculous!!!  This company is going down the drain fast and losing players all the time!   This update had way too much all at once and is very confusing, bugs not fixed from the test server AGAIN!  Information about the update could have been written much clearer too.  We asked for a test server, and GGS finally set up one.  But then they do nothing to fix the problems we already have-FISHING STILL DOES NOT WORK RIGHT!!! or the ones found on the test server and just put the new things out anyway.   My recommendation to GGS is that they fire whoever is running things FAST and get someone in there to do the job right!!  A first year student with some brains and common sense could do better!!  I am so sick and tired of the bugs!!!!

Can not harvest my mark on the gourmetfarm?
  • Has there been any information on how to increase village happiness, we are ready for the second upgrade but without village happiness to balance it we might as remain at level 1
  • It would be nice to know how to even get village exp, i have done things in the village but have not gotten any exp for them what the hell do we do there???????????

Levelling up other buildings plus using the buildings to produce things such as bricks or roofing shingles (needed early on) all give village XP.
At the time I wrote this I had upgraded a building and produced things but the village exp was still at 0, that has since been fixed, now i need to know how to put supplies in the village warehouse so I can harvest my fields, It will not let me sell the bamboo ready to harvest even though it shows me at 0/3000 in personal storage.  how does one harvest their fields when it will not let you sell the boarder items or store them in the village which is also at 0?

Said this in an earlier post but worth repeating. There is a harvest loop bug but with an easy workaround.

When an edge plant harvest is ready, the display is wrong because it should be showing the full amount without the 70% penalty which actually only applies to subsequent harvests. This error has been compounded by including the 70% penalty in the excess sell figure so it is telling us it needs to sell 60 bamboo for instance when it is actually 200. Furthermore, it doesn't distinguish properly whether it is the main or edge crops that need to be sold. So for instance, if you have too much cabbage, it might try to tell you to sell your bamboo shoots instead. The easy workaround for this is to sell things manually from the farm management screen.

I thought that is why they have a test server to test and fix things like this before it goes live!!!

    There is no "Village Storage".

The "Warehouse" in the Village works like the barns on your Main Farm do.  The higher (the warehouse's) level, the more you can hold in your *personal* storage.  You can't actually put stuff "into" the warehouse.

So with a level 12 warehouse, everyone can store up to 3,000 edge plants in their personal storage.  At level 13, you'll be able to hold 3,400 edge plants (in your personal storage), and so on and so forth.

Don't confuse that with donations to upgrades to buildings - that's a separate mechanic. Those (still) come out of your personal storage, and go straight into the Upgrade amount for the particular building you're donating to.

No. Nothing happens, you carry on with a challenge.

But if you win challenge first counterchallenge will be canceled as you moved yourself out of reach of the guy who challenged you.

Edit: And if you lose counterchallenge, challenge will be canceled for the same reason. You were moved out of reach of the guy you challenged.
  • How do you increase your cooperative village level?

Just reading above Re: field  bugs, I have 2 fields with oak seeds grown and now cannot harvest or sell them, is this a bug or am I not doing something ?  Barn is saying nil stored  thanks

Now it's decided to let me sell, at least I have my fields back.

The problem is not with the Oak but most likely the crop that is growing in the field.  It has reached maximum storage capacity.   Sell some of the crop growing and you will be able to harvest your field.

My guess is that one of the market place shoppers has bought some of your crop and you can now harvest.

That is the way it has been happening to me.   I hope this helps.

    Thankyou  rsny it worked.

@farmer darla (US1)  Your village level rises with upgrades of buildings and with production of goods in the factories .

  • I was unable to harvest my field after I planted Oak Wood on it, no matter what I did!
Then I tried selling the 15 units of wheat that the field was supposed to yield along with Oak wood and stone, and it allowed me to harvest. :)
Same thing happened with another field and so I sold 250 units of Cabbages despite the fact that my barn had ample space, and the glitch just went away! :)

Just sharing so if others have such a problem, they can use this method too. :)

I just noticed that the maximum amount of pellets I can have in storage is 20.  Is that correct?
  • I have a question.. our minerals and metals factory is a t level 0 and we are unable to upgrade and we had all our stuff needed for the upgrade and at the time nothing was being upgraded but was still unable to.. we are at level 16 and still unable to do it. What are we missing here to do this. Lost please help!!!

You can only upgrade one thing at the time in the village. Check the construction slot in the village and see if something else isn't already being built.
  • I realise that you can only upgrade one at a time I got that but we cannot even produce in the min and metals at all. we have be trying to wrap our heads around this as it is the only one that cannot be upgraded for some reason or we can't eve produce in it either.

Pellets are horse treats, which all have an inventory storage limit of 20.

However, pellets are produced by the mill on the main farm, so you can overfill the storage like you can with feed.  Running a big batch of pellets can give you over 100 in storage.

Did you over-donate any of the items? There was a bug on the test server where over-donating any item prevented upgrading.

An item can be over-donated if it is fully donated, then someone pays gold to have the requirements for all items reduced.

I've heard some people solved this by waiting a few days until the amount of all items decayed back down to at or below what was needed.

Column 1, "Personal Amount" shows the amount of each material that you have in YOUR personal storage.
Column 2, "Cooperative Amount" shows the amount of each material that the *entire Co-Op* has in their personal storage.
Column 3, "Online Amount" shows the amount of each material that the LOGGED IN CO-OP members have in their personal storage.

Column 1 & 2 are pretty self explanatory.  Column 3 is only useful if you're trying to upgrade a building and need a specific crop, such as Willow Rods - you can tell that in my Co-Op, the people logged in have 1,983 in their storage (and I have 1,625 of those!), so if we "needed" Willow Rods for something, we could ask in chat "Hey, I see there's 1,983 willow rods out there, mind throwing them into the upgrade for the Metals Factory?".

(Yeah, ok, Column 3 is really kinda useless.)

Basically the whole warehouse thing is just a quick way to check your inventory of Village Crops. Column 2 & 3 really aren't that useful, IMO.

But again, all it shows is the number of materials of each members personal storage - it doesn't actually "hold" anything in the warehouse itself.

Maybe it will in the future, who knows.

  • I have looked around , there seems to be confusion on everything concerning the village.
The one I have is why is it that anyone can start the village challenge and when challenged , We should be able to restrict it to the leader and deputies otherwise there is going to be major arguments going on . GG really haven't thought to much about this new village part in my opinion.

Does anyone know the answer ?????
  • Is a timer for village produce going to be added, I really hate having to go to the village just to check if production has been completed and I should not have to set my on alarm

Does anyone know the method or reason that XP production in the Village varies almost every time you make something?

For instance, I'll make Nails 5 times.. The first time I'll get 22,000 Village XP.. The next time, 100 Village XP.. The next time, 13,500 Village XP.. The next time, 100 Village XP..

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for the varying numbers.

Anyone know the secret, if there is one?

Something with this game doesnt work.

I am in Roza Kmetija coop. We won all 1 places as chalengers. We have to colect : dandelion , eggs, bonitos, apples and rutabaga. But as seen on captures ther are no names for as for eggs and bonitos.

I hope that on the week end we wil see also this revards , if not it is not worthy to play 2 days to get 511 points with wich someone can bought 2 fertilisers.

    I am totaly disapointed. :-((

  • I have fairly decent understanding of how the whole system of village works from test server. Normaly I'd leave detailed analysis for live server cause why go to detailed analysis of something that is likely to change anyway? But now I'm not doing it as i'm really anoyed by this Dennis. Don't even want to talk about inherent Village problems before this added Dennis issue is addressed.

Could somebody from BF, CMs, developers etc. kindly explain why this Dennis upgraded our Warehouse? Or do I need to ask this question in Developers corner to get an answer? So far there's not much input from BF on this and it is by no means just a small issue imo, but rather fundamental one.

    • If I read it correctly, it put me to negative village happiness even before I started to build anything there.
    • Due to that I now start with higher production costs then I normaly would without this "help" from Dennis. (That pointed out for me how lame the system of village happiness is as the idea of rebulding decos first to get village to zeroed or positive happiness as it should be before building anything completely put me off.)
    • It complicated my leveling village up as I lost the experience points from upgrading warehouse.
    • It spoiled the gameplay as the village system is now in mutilated condition with nothing but warehouse upgraded overriding the original village system level limits. Why did designers bother with balancing the system (if they did) when somebody jumps in after the whole thing is put together and just makes add hoc changes without any respect for the system put in place which hopefully had some logic to it? Or was the original design so poorly performed that this change was necessary?
OK Dennis, you saved us some resources and time needed for upgrade, but I didn"t ask you to do that. I do NOT consider that a reward or compensation and it is not a headstart as it hardly created anything but problems. All you did from my point of view is you messed the village up even more then it was before. So could we please first get an official explanation from Dennis why this mutilation was necessary. Second could we have that upgrade removed or at least made optional for those who don't want to accept it and don't appreciate Dennis playing the game instead of us. Thank you.
You took every. single. word thought and comment STRAIGHT OUT OF MY BRAIN lol! thank you for expressing it all for me!!! :)
  • OK Dennis, you saved us some resources and time needed for upgrade, but I didn"t ask you to do that. I do NOT consider that a reward or compensation and it is not a headstart as it hardly created anything but problems. ....
The REAL reson, Dennis uprgaded the warehose for us is (if I am guessing right) the FIELD BUG.
Lets say, you have a warehouse storage max 1000. Than you plant an edge plant with e.g. sunflowers. You end up with more than 1000 of edge plant per field. So you can not harvest the fields because your warehouse is too small and you can not sell the edge plant because you do not have any to begin with. So your field is stuck untill warehouse is upgraded far enough. We got this problem on test server and went around it buy gold-pushing the warehouse upgrade (with 10 mil of gold, it was easy), but on life servers, this solution is of course excluded :)

So, the warehouse was upgraded to get rid of a very serious bug and make it a "normal" or "just annoying, but can live with it" bug. Not as a compensation.

And yes, I DO agree that this is deffintely NOT the way that the bug should be handled.

And yes, the warehouse brought down the happines, not the village XP.

I understand what you are trying to say about Dennis' motives, but this has some holes in this reasoning.

    1. Ruining our experience with a forced upgrade to our warehouses, which DID send our village happiness in the negative, is a very lazy way to "fix" a bug, If by ruining something else is considered fixing a bug, just how lazy are these developers?
    2. Yes, it WAS a compensation, read from Dennis' own post: https://community.goodgamestudios.com/bigfarm/en/discussion/150541/compensation ....this is by far the dumbest compensation anyone could think up, if not lazy. I want my warehouse at level 1 and I want to figure it out myself. REAL compensation would have been giving us the easter decoration and all the hard work rewards from that event for our troubles (especially since those are next to impossible to find most of them).

So can I use what others in my coop have in their so called warehouse??? if not it is of no use to let me know what others have if I have to message them and tell them to use the items anyway.  It should only show me what is available for me to use, the rest is too much information and is just as confusing as calling a warehouse which implies coop storage since it is on the coop village page.

Nope. Like I said, Column 2 & 3 are pretty useless.  Maybe they'll have a (better) use in the future. But for now, it's just an "information only" type thing.

Question for the Mods, also - why aren't my replies folding up like they should?
