If you can't see the blue car of rune trader on your farm this must be a bug and you should report it. Hope it will come soonest for you! Seems to be a bug on the US1 server .... (?)
Fully agree! That's exactly what I do Jane - In December with the temp special Festive Farm; in January with the temp Viking Farm and now in February with the temp Northern Lights Farm: I just buy half of the available plots and farm on only 2 fields, 2 animal accommodations and 1-2 orchards; just enough to keep sufficient seeds in storage for the Greenhouse/Ship/Paddock. And once every X months when I have more than enough seeds of that temp farm in storage I will only harvest 1 field during the whole event (and am very glad with that 'break', to steal Artful's word).
Indeed there wasn't 24 hours of "rest" between these temp farms, as it was announced that the temp farms would always start on the 9th of each month. So me and my coop members were prepared for this.
Personally I don't have any problem at all with the alternating temp farms; there are 4 of them, so 3 of each per year sounds perfectly alright to me. Having "winterly" farms during winter season? I must admit this can't bother me at all, it feels 'seasonal' right. In the announcement it says that the County Fair Event (= Hunt for candies on your farms) will only start at the end of the month - and although that same announcement doesn't say anything about the Candy Farm starting at the same time - it indeed might be the next temp farm to come, because then it would coincide almost at the same time with the County Fair Event (or perhaps right after).
Happy farming!
How would you be feeling if they did the next 6 months candy island, as that is how long it has been since last candy? BTW there are only 3 Viking and Northern lights are the same, they even use the same books from library. Tropical and Viking are also same except they changed skins and names, they are exact same costs and strategy and play method. Many players will say there are actually only 2 types of temp farms, candy and the others, I can not believe you can not see that ALL: farms not candy are the same, except for skins and name changes, tropical also has currency difference but the play is the same so are ALL the rewards and costs
Yes, it's everyone and
Yes, the book task tells you how many days or hours there are left
Aha, it seems like time is whizzing past and the island farm finished and then restarted on the next theme pretty quickly ... cheers southern.....
Sometimes it's a completely different island, sometimes it's the same one (in this case it's pretty much the same one, Viking Island (last month) and Northern Lights (this month).. I think one just has snow, and the other doesn't).
While it is true that the Festive, Viking & Northern Lights farms are all different temporary farms, with their own deco sets, they do all have the same items to produce & the same fruits for the ship & therefore feel like the same event being repeated. We have seen a similar response in the other communities & we are passing on your feedback, to hopefully get a more varied schedule in the future. With the exception of the Festive farm, the other 2 do still make up 50% of the farms available, so will obviously come around most often, but we do agree that 3 in a row is a bit much.
There are a lot of players unhappy about frequency of candy farm.
The trader would arrive when you select which farm you are doing and therefore only 1 trader would be there depending on which temp farm you selected. The other option to be fair is for the 3 types of farm go in pattern. IE tropical, candy, Viking or version of Viking, then there would be 4 of each and only 2 months between players preferred island. 6 months between candy is just ridiculous. but that wont work this year now as we already had 2 Viking.
A lot of players love it the way it is now and do believe the 4 different temp farms are equally addressed annually, but we feel that 3 (although different, but still a bit similar) island farms in a row is a bit much indeed, so a more varied schedule would therefore be great!
As most players I know on 6 forums do love to play the horse tournaments, most of us can't skip any of the Island Farms (we need to play them, if only partially) and most of us don't even want to skip any as we like them all equally .... but again: a more varied schedule would be nicer for all of us!
My query is what happened to the gap we normally get between them to give use time to work on main farms, which are needed to supply the temporary farms with cash. It ended one day restarted the next. I want the gap back please. GGS are getting far to greedy that's how you loose lot of players and recommendation to play, including gold players . Seen it before on other games.
Sorry but don't know about anybody else but I play games for fun and to relax. Not as another job to fill time in between real life one. Along with coop projects . Missions. Also any other extras you add along the way ie valentine. The pending new coop map page which will need cash feed from main farms with another coop challenge in there as well. Overload of extras is a definite understatement. Think need to look for somebody to take over my coop.
With no gaps between I shall not have to stockpile seeds to keep the Ship going so I can put less effort (and cash) into each farm. The build slot will be occupied for less time and, I have found that, the rate of return on investment is better when I spend less. This could be a win / win for me. :¬)
Just try to bend a disadvantage into an advantage (after all the glass should always be considered half full)
