Sorry Steph and Data,  and really surprised that you answered that way Data but dont see that at all the village and new farm coming are going to be more geared for established farms and higher level players. Will be no different Data than telling newbies this is not for you for a long time you need to be able to make honeycream on regular basis.  Co op just starting will really struggle for sure so dont open a new co op join an established one. That being said, I am still not seeing the relationship of coop village to farming I am thinking this is just another game wihtin the game no direct correlation and not much fun. If you thought the list here were something wait till you all play king of the hill. Dont know what wizard of developing thought that this would all be fun for us was not feeling it at all. Good coop leaders will not be expecting big donations from young players so no pressure if you are in the right place.

I am a mid level player. Been playing 4 years and the leader of a coop that I started a little over a year ago. No one in my coop is over level 100 other than me.

I make a good deal of money but still not enough to donate to all the places at the same time.

I have played the coop village on the test coop and it is very expensive and at the same time takes a lot of your main farm profit because of the double planting.

As a coop leader I do not make donations mandatory but even my mid level players are having trouble with saving enough to do upgrades and the temp farms.

Now on top of that the coop village will reduce the amount they make and also take more money to build.

The way I see it unless you are in a large coop it will be impossible to keep up farm dollar wise.

Having started a co op year ago I see your predictiment I had a coop for a year and a half and it costs alot of your money real to buy the gold to keep that co op up and running I get that and that is why I dissolved my co op I did that when the test farm started I had to make a hard choice to keep plodding along or join a more established co op and I think there are going to be alot of other co ops having to make this choice or just choose to remain and grow at a very slow pace. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

By using the right combination of crop and edge plants you make extra profits.

I only changed village dollars once, by selling my production that I don't need to donate for upgrading village buildings in village dollars makes that I had a lot of village dollars in excess.

Also temp farms can be played on low budget for lower levels

What is that right combination, if I may ask? :) could you elaborate pls?

Have you factored in the loss of crop in the harvest after you planted edge crops loop?
  • I hear ya, Lesley.  That bit about "burden and stress won't happen anymore" is nonsense.  If anything, it will increase it -- 4 days isn't that much shorter than 5 -- twice a month  doesn't give farms a chance to recover and restock.

Same for the temporary farms -- one every month -- and if they each last 30 days, we're going to see some overlap.

I found an interesting site where GGS former and current employees can post.  It won't come as any surprise that they are under a lot of pressure to get those gold expenditures up with everything they develop or change.  And that the higher ups still fail to grasp that their revenue will actually increase if they will put the customers first and not put so much pressure on them to spend.  They're trying to squeeze the last drops of blood out of customers, rather than focusing on making the game fun and doable -- as a result, their customer base is shrinking.

Like you, this enforces my thoughts of quitting the CCs altogether.
I saw the site last year , artful, some lovely comments from ex - employees. I am sure you will agree that GGS will do whatever they want to do whenever they want. GGS can write almost anything and sadly I do not believe most of it. remember the stories about players requesting this or that, NO . the fact is we are told players requested it. For the past year a few of us have said GGS will do the co-op challenge every 2 week, and they are going to, notice how they tested the length of the challenge 4 -5--6 days, 4 days twice a month, equals 8 days BUT the main difference is they'll get HIGH gold sales twice a month. Same with the leagues, what was it before 2 co-ops trying for 1st ? now we have 5 leagues with 2-3 trying for the top, and 4 leagues with 3-4 trying not to go down. That is 25 co-ops now spending gold as opposed to 2 before. Notice how many things are getting us to "sell" our stocks, why do ggs want us to sell our storage! We got demoted in the last challenge, so we can now not bother with it. GGS put pressure on me to use/buy gold the result is that myself, family and friends now do not buy gold, yes i want to upgrade a few gold houses, but that will not happen now. Whatever we do on our farms GGS change things so that they take away any advantage we gained, give us a few happiness but add more workers to the new lvl of buildings  ...

A specific date was never mentioned.  It will be turned on "sometime after New Years". The Devs won't even be in the office until Monday at the earliest.

Hope the village can be updated before Feb.
  • It is just another way for large co ops to be advantaged over small, so would not panic about it too much unless you need to find another way to spend gold

LOL  @gizmo22 (AU1)  yeah like they did all that work to cancel it  plan on seeing it soon but if they were smart they would bring it first to the test server again cause last we were there it was full of bugs without testing the fixes how do they know it is fixed?

i know i am a very impatient person sorry but GGS should have been back to work for like almost a week now and i really thought we would have had a update on when they plane to reopen the test sever or make the coop village go on the live severs so if any of you great MOD'S out there could try and find out a good guess of when they think they might be doing it would be great thanks

Well given they were going to send it live right about the time santa wish list started i am guessing they found things that did not work and again I will hope they open test server before going live.

Thank you Big Farm in advance for an answer...
  • I've been away for a while, but now I'm back.
All my farms have numerous "bugs" and I don't know where to start to fix them.
To start... what is my "test server farm"?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Depending on which bugs you have you maybe able to find the answers on the forum here.
As for the test server they shut it down late Nov. At this time there is no word when they may open it again.
  • I thought when they shut test server down in november, they said it would start up again on the 9th jan 2017,cus last new item on there was the coop village and challenge program,Am i right in saying this, cus i was looking forward to re-start of test farm.

There has been no certain date set for the co op village and it's components to start. The temp farms were announced to start the 9th of every month.

My biggest complaint is to equal the playing fields for the smaller players in cooperative championships. I know I have read this over and over, but I don't feel that you are listening to this, so I feel you will get this same question over and over. I am level 83, I upgrade every chance I get. 1 challenge I started  was alfalfa. I gathered mine click to see where and who I was against, the top person was level 400 +. I mean that was really off. There farm had 20 some fertile fields level 7. Please can you fix the CC so they are a little more equal. Thank You. I know you are working on it, but can you work on it a little faster ?

I agree with @stef7 (US1) This new farm & the opening of the co op village is going to put a lot of undue pressure on the lower level farmers playing this game.
Not just lower level players.  Some high level players have expressed a bit of dissatisfaction because what was once a laid-back farming game has turned into one continuous high-speed chase. Overload and burnout.  LOL!  :)

I started playing this game 3 years in March. Events where fortnightly but even then some players had reached into 300+ levels ,everything built up, some of them may have been thr main gold buyers, GGS then introduced temp farms. I was level 59 so I opened it, I got level 1 sand castle, then other stuff, CC every couple of months, HW, Horses, hunts, CNY, Santas list etc, etc, etc. Its all costing real money , more each time,if your competitive . I am not, thats why I am looking elsewhere to find a game to relax by

Well here is the thing a new farm is not for newer players period so there goes that pressure it is for those farmers that have all there farms fully done  now the co op village as no one is really sure how that is working as it seems GGS doesn't know either cause they seem to have abandoned it and left everyone hanging. You are not required to do anything here but enjoy at the pace you set yourself. It would be nice if GGS would instead of giving promises of things to come would actually deliver.
