I agree with @stef7 (US1) This new farm & the opening of the co op village is going to put a lot of undue pressure on the lower level farmers playing this game.
Not just lower level players.  Some high level players have expressed a bit of dissatisfaction because what was once a laid-back farming game has turned into one continuous high-speed chase. Overload and burnout.  LOL!  :)
I am one of those long-time players who miss the days of easy going farming with a few events every now & then. I gave up my coop and now play my farm when and how I choose.

I started playing this game 3 years in March. Events where fortnightly but even then some players had reached into 300+ levels ,everything built up, some of them may have been thr main gold buyers, GGS then introduced temp farms. I was level 59 so I opened it, I got level 1 sand castle, then other stuff, CC every couple of months, HW, Horses, hunts, CNY, Santas list etc, etc, etc. Its all costing real money , more each time,if your competitive . I am not, thats why I am looking elsewhere to find a game to relax by
I started playing in Feb 2014, roughly the same time as you @Lesley52 (GB1)  Couldn't agree more about all the extras they have added. Like you, I am not that competitve, certainly not gonna spend real money to be on a leaderboard! LOL

@Lesley52 (GB1)  I like that they have added more & more stuff, back when you described, it was possible to do everything, now you don`t need to, there is so much to do & more to come that I actually find it more realxing just picking what I want to do & going with the flow. My farm is such now that I "can" do anything, win missions, win racing, win level 6 in weekly events etc but I choose not to. I do missions for the daily reward & certs for my machines, when the CC is on I get some rewards by accident as a result, I have even changed my mind about the CC being every 2 weeks, more rewards YAY!! I wander into the diamond league & then put my feet up with the horses, it cost me nothing, lots of yummy rewards YAY!! If I have time I will do level 6 on the event, to get some decos ready for the new farm, but if I have a busy week I will do level 1 or 2 & be finished in a day for a deco to give Greta.... I find time to go fishing occasionally too. My farms are growing steadily & I am looking forward to having a 4th one, so I would say that being "relaxed" with your farming is a personal choice, especially if, as you say, you are not overly competetive. httpwwwshervnetcmemoticonseverydayrelaxing-smiley-emoticongif

Well here is the thing a new farm is not for newer players period so there goes that pressure it is for those farmers that have all there farms fully done  now the co op village as no one is really sure how that is working as it seems GGS doesn't know either cause they seem to have abandoned it and left everyone hanging. You are not required to do anything here but enjoy at the pace you set yourself. It would be nice if GGS would instead of giving promises of things to come would actually deliver.
@Damaria3 (US1)  Why are you slamming GGS for not giving us all the stuff on their list for 2017??.... It is Feb 6th!!!!  The list was for the year, not the 1st month. I do agree 100% with the line I highlighted though. :)

@MRG1 (US1) I did the same thing, went from a high ranked coop of over 70 members, to a 3 member noob coop where I don`t even know what rank we are & couldn`t care less, we are called Lazy Farmers  & that is exactly what we are... We actually congratulated each other a couple of days ago, because we had bothered to water all trees for a change.. Yes, ALL 3 of them!!  LOL

The village isn't forgotten, the company has been restructured so there is a delay. This is clear from the new village happiness décor.

Some here are accusing me of always being negative  so for the record  let it be known that I fully supported GGS in the SWL of 2016  it was great  a bit difficult to get bonus for group but overall good event same with CNY events really kudos for making the size smaller pig and dog were doable this time so lack of happiness in dragon and snakes not so bad.   LOVE the Asian house skin that is prize in horse racing for platinum hope there will be ways of getting more of those. Hats off to GGS for land expansions that was super terrific!!!!  The coop village I have stated that I am not sure how that tied in with our farms per se  but almost another game within the game but will require a lot of coop working together not sure how good or not so good that is. As we just got a taste to early to have a strong opinion. As all my farms are pretty much done just waiting on steve for final upgrades  yes I am bored and don't apologize for saying so. That I anxiously await the new farm you bet each day hope that this is the day.

I hear ya, Lesley.  That bit about "burden and stress won't happen anymore" is nonsense.  If anything, it will increase it -- 4 days isn't that much shorter than 5 -- twice a month  doesn't give farms a chance to recover and restock.

Same for the temporary farms -- one every month -- and if they each last 30 days, we're going to see some overlap.

I found an interesting site where GGS former and current employees can post.  It won't come as any surprise that they are under a lot of pressure to get those gold expenditures up with everything they develop or change.  And that the higher ups still fail to grasp that their revenue will actually increase if they will put the customers first and not put so much pressure on them to spend.  They're trying to squeeze the last drops of blood out of customers, rather than focusing on making the game fun and doable -- as a result, their customer base is shrinking.

Like you, this enforces my thoughts of quitting the CCs altogI also
I also came across a site where past and present GGS employees posted, perhaps the same one as you ?  Very interesting  .. and disturbing.

Yes I too have read through this site  and I get that this is a business that they need to make some money but the most disturbing things I read was the LACK of listening to what we the players were asking for. Well no surprise there yet it should have surprised me because without players they have no business.  Those of us who do buy gold and help the ones who choose not to or cant afford to is great but not listening and the revenue they are missing out on for not safe guarding the gold is beyond reason.  What do they really gain in accidental gold spending vs who will not buy gold under the present system it is easy to see they are killing themselves off here. Also the lack of communication amongst different teams  probably why we were getting so many bugs hopefully during the restructuring they take the cotton out of their ears  and the big wigs start reading what the players need.

Hi moderators is there any news of when the new farm or horse project may be released  respectfully asking for an update or even if coop village is closer to being ready for testing again?  Thank you  I appreciate your efforts.

@Damaria3 (US1) In December the coop village was due to go onto the live servers & the new horse content was going on to the Test Server, but as you know, both were postponed, to get all the current content up to scratch first. Since then, the only thing that we have heard is that the coop village will go back onto the test server before it goes live, so it would be reasonable to assume they will reopen the test server at some point, with both things on it, but, so far, no date has been fixed.  We also have our new character coming with his feature, so maybe he will be on there too.  As for the 4th farm, we do not have any info on that, other than what is already on the forum, that it will be a Volcanic island.

Sorry we don`t have any dates for you, they might speed things up just to stop us from keep asking them. :)

I personally wouldn't need speed up. For me there's enough happening in the game already. 'What I miss is transparency. If they could organise themselves a bit and learn some fair communication, that would suffice. Like in this case, they start something hastily which doesn't work very well, get a lot of angry feedback, try to go live despite, then finally get it that it could break their neck so retreat. Then it would be nice and professional to have some report from them giving some basic timelines regarding future plans, not just "in 2017 we plan to do something, but not sure what yet".  :) Nothing too difficult for somebody who knows what they are doing. The way they treat these issues suggest that they either don't give a heck about what we think, or are in complete mess and incompetent. Neither improves their reputation or customer satisfaction, I'm sure you'd agree. Anyway, thanks for your efforts. Obviously there's hardly anything you can do about that appart from just reporting back and forth.

I agree.  A simple:  "we're working on some issues, and frankly we don't know when the rollout will be" would suffice.

Ha !' Our secret "abuse" master strikes  again. :) Like invisible batman striking from the dark. Only Batman was a good character I think?  It's actually an abuse of the label "abuse". So how do I label that "abuse" back? :):):) I suspect it's somebody who doesn't know English very well so when they see common colloquial expressions  like "heck" or "sucks" they think it's profanity and needs to be labeled. :):)

I agree.  A simple:  "we're working on some issues, and frankly we don't know when the rollout will be" would suffice.

With all the respect that's not what I ment and I wouldn't consider that sufficient. Even when business is restructuring there is usually some general guidelines available, even if it is "probably May or July" type of dating. Restructuring doesn't mean left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.  :)

I am in agreement with @Kamilcom (GB1)  vague reference to 2017 does not work well for me and big promises that may not be happening for six months is torture. I agree with all but take yr time cause now I am spending money on another game cause there is not enough going on here to keep me and my money in this game.  Yes I am frustrated with their communication with the players.  Also hope those flags that were carelessly thrown on Kamilcom post are removed that is abuse as their was nothing objectionable in those post. Big THANK YOU to wascally wabbit  for responding I appreciate the update  and great to know that the horses will be coming soon looking forward to getting back on the test server!

See this link (this is the last comment a moderator gave us about the Coop Village):  https://community.goodgamestudios.com/bigfarm/en/discussion/comment/3398995/#Comment_3398995

Here you can read why things were stopped and that they still don't have any dates for us, nothing to be expected soon. IMHO as it should be; I'd rather have a good functioning Village feature than a bugged one because of activating it too soon. And very glad they listened to our request to first test it on the testserver again, before implementing anything in the real game.  ;)

i really want to know the following things:

When the Coop Village and the 4th Farm will be appeared in the game?

Moreover, the horse ranch will be updated too in future?
(Since i notice there is an area of construction site in there )

Monthly or bi-monthly newsleters from the big boss, that's what we need. :)

But honestly, I don't think they really care. If they did, they've had plenty of time to show.  If it were not for people like wabbit and cuddly who try to answer us with however little info they get to help maintain at least some sense of connection I bet there'd be even more players leaving the game on these grounds. :) I guess GGS is indebted to wabbit and cuddly for having any players at all .......... :)

I like the idea of a monthly newsletter kamilcon but as you read in the posts also about the company I'm pretty sure you have, and as you put it don't think this company's organizational skills are up to this too often as you pointed out the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing and vice versa.
  • Hay,

I have a question about the citydollars.
We're a small group and we're still bilding on our city. But the bildings in our city aren't still avalible.
What do we have to do to get those bildings active? And to get the citydollars?

    Greetings Ikke.
