my horses wont upgrade no matter how much I train. Is there a glitch or is it just not worth it?
@mikejoe (US1)   Training only increases the score in a discipline, and the level of the horse.

To get additional breeding effects and improved breeding quality, they are granted to the new foal when breeding.
  • Hi,
I just spent like 1 hour trying to find information about horses. How can i get uncommon or rare status, what is the best way of upgrading horses and how i get best breeding bonuses?

Also i am asking how seaweed is obrained. It says that is is obtained from cleaning fish but i just cannot find where can i get it. Any help? Thanks.

You need to watch the parents of the horses you breed together. Certain parents will pass on certain effects and enhancements. Once you find a pair similar and breed them together you should get your breed Quality 1 horse ;)

You're doing fine Ray, it'll happen. I breed about every 12 levels (when training starts to get expensive), breed horses of the same level or 2 levels apart (not 1 level apart), eventually the BQ1 turns up.  :¬)
  • why am I not getting any credit for my horse races? I am in the gold league and it has stayed just under 575 for the last 3 days even tho I have raced numerous times the scale will not move up so I can collect the next level for horse shoes!

in there it tells you how the horse tournaments work.

@Roy Ladendorf (US1)  It sounds like you need to start breeding at a lower levels, like level 14, then 21, then mid 30s
Here are a couple of links that should help with your horses

  • Hi,
After the last update on February 2nd, when I try breeding my horses, the training cost of the new horse is not decreased at all. Before the update I could see the percent of the horseshoe cost for training the new horse.

    Here's a screen shot:

I cleared my browsers cache, my Flash cash, tried reloading several times, also loging out and back in several times, nothing helps.

What you are showing is your breeding cost of 500 regular horseshoes.
     The training is separate.
Click on the first tab in the window you are showing.
Then select a horse you wish to train,
then select the area of training you want
select the amount of training cost by regular horseshoes.

No no I know what I'm talking about, I'm not a novice player. Maybe I just don't know how to properly convey my question.

I'm talking about the lower half of the right side of the window. The percentage for cost decrease for training my new horse (if I breed these two) it shows 0% for all three skills.

When I produced the yellow Goldy with brown mane and tail, those percentages were not zero, I don't exactly remember what they showed for that Goldy but certainly not 0%, and I bred two horses with a breeding value of 10 or 11 (that was before the update).

I don't want to breed them just yet and loose these horses before I know what's going on, but if I must i'll just breed them and see how much horseshoes will one skill level cost me and compare it to what the cost was for one of the two original horses (parents).

ok so i am not sure why but when i try and breed 2 horses i see what you are talking about except when i try and breed my 13 with a zero to get a level 6 then the things you are talking about is all 0 so have the 2 16 been breed to get there or did you train a new horse to 16 for both? because it says it takes the average of the 2 parents so maybe the attributes with the 2 you have is not good enough when breed together if that makes sense

They're not max trained yet.  You need to train them up higher for the percentages to increase.  If you try and breed 2 horses that aren't max trained, you won't "save" any horseshoes on training the foal.   Check your training costs, if neither one costs 200 or 300 horseshoes (or more) per level, then you'll get the 0% when you try to breed them.
  • OK, I'll try to level them up some more. Thanks for the help.
  • A player sent me an in game message and they've noticed this too. They tried breeding two horses with breeding value of 30. So it appears that the problem's not with the breeding value/level of the parent horses but with something else. Nevertheless I'll try leveling up my horses to breeding value of 20 and see if something changes.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

Is it possible that this is something like a 'bug' after the last update, or GGS removed the decrease in training percentage which we were able to get before the February 2nd update.
  • Hello - it seems that no cherry blossoms are appearing when I harvest my orchards to complete this task.

Also - it seems that no matter how much I train my horses - they are not advancing to the next level.

    Thanks for any assistance!
  • sorry to bring this up if it has been discussed before but how do I cross breed a horse. A recent task is asking to do this but I do not know how to go about it. My horse has breading value of 26 and the other is still at 9.

    @Morningdew (INT1)

Foals can be trained up 10 levels before training penalties start applying.
The 11th level has a small 8.3% penalty.
    The 12th level has a 100% penalty.
The penalty roughly doubles for each additional level after that :(

If the parents have not been trained more than 10 levels, the reductions in training cost will show as 0%.

@Farmer Momasita (US1) You will get the blossoms eventually, sometimes you get lucky & every orchard drops them & other times its like they will never appear.

The level of your horse is determined by the 3 stars on the training window, if you add them together & divide by 3 that will be your horse level. The stars represent your level in each of the 3 disciplines & you can see a number in the bar next to each one that says how many more training points you need to get that dicipline to the next level and add 1 to the number in the star.

As you move the slidebar to start your training, you can see at the end on the right, how many training points you will get for that dicipline in that training session. Once the numbers in the bars start to get so high that it would take multiple training sessions just to increase by level of that discipline by +1, then it is time to breed your horse & get a new one (of approx the same level if possible). that will be fast to train again. :)

i always get zero percents in breeding horses

i don`t know if its an error or i`m missing something , but i tried it in many horses and get the same result

You haven't found the right mix of parents yet. Keep track of the parents of the horses you breed together. Most of the time you will not know until the second breeding or beyond if you'll get a good % for the enhancements or not.

To gain a breeding effect every time you breed, you need horses
    that are trained to these benchmark levels: 10, 20, 35, 50, 70, 90.
Every one of these levels will give you an extra breeding effect slot on your foal
