    Sorry I am not a up on the technical stuff but dose this mean that the game and co-ops will no longer be able to be hacked?

    I am referring to what happened to Victory Ridge and how someone had hacked into their coop, people's gold just started missing and the leaders paypal was also hacked.

    Will this http to https stop stuff like that from happening?

    @stef7 (US1) Not sure what you mean by hacking a coop or what hacking paypal has to do with BF at all, but BF data is stored on GGS servers & I haven`t heard anything about GGS being hacked. When people talk about someone getting access to their BF account, it always turns out to be either that they shared their password or they had a simple password that was easy to guess.

    You can Google the difference between http & hhtps, the latter encrypts communications between the browser & website.

    So.............I want to clear of some of the misinformation that is out there.  I think several rumors have gotten exaggerated along the way.  I am the leader of the Victory Ridge Coop on the US server.

    A player applied to us earlier this week.  I was not familiar with this player.  Therefore, I asked several questions (as I often do).  I got only partial answers that mostly made no sense (putting it mildly).  I asked a few more questions, and got no answers to these at all.  The other players with whom I conferred, all had the same feeling of concern; therefore, he/she was denied admittance based solely on that interaction (and will be denied going forward.....regardless of how often they apply).

    I did discuss this with several other coop leaders on the US server, to whose coops he had also applied.  This is not an unusual step.  Coop leaders often confer on particular players of concern.  Somewhere along the way, the idea emerged that this player might be a hacker and in some way related to the hacking that happened to a different coop.  I do not have any reason to believe that this true or untrue.  He/she was simply denied entry to our coop, because questions were asked, and I received very few answers, and we felt that this player was not ready for our coop at this time.

    Our coop, Victory Ridge, was not hacked.  My personal account has not been hacked.  My paypal account has not been hacked.  This player has sent me "threatening" messages, claiming that he/she will create suspicion and doubt about me and convince people that I am a hacker.  This is all totally absurd.  I have not disclosed the player name here.  I will ask GGS if they want to know it.  But I will not indulge that player, by putting the name here.  Again, this player was denied entry because their unwillingness to answer a few simple questions, created an unease among those members that I conferred with.  There was no other reason whatsoever at that time.

    Farm On!
  • Thank you for clearing this up as I had "heard" about this and was concerned.

    Thank you for clearing that up.  I do not feel as worried now about taking in new members.

    Also thank you for passing along info to other coop leaders of your concerns.

    I am a small coop leader and any info passed along that helps us out is more than welcome.

    Again thank you for the clearing up the info that either I misunderstood or was not completely correct when I got it. Sop glad your paypal was not tampered with or your coop gold.

    Was there any pattern for fireworks last year or was it completely random? Anyone remembers?
    The fireworks come at unpredictable times, and for unpredictable durations :(

    Last year, they were coming every 3 or 4 hours, then that changed in the last 2 or 3 days to roughly hourly :)
  • @gavinfarms (US1) Thank you for your post clearing up what occurred on US1.  :)

    @Kamilcom (GB1) The fireworks were random last year, but there were some posts on Facebook announcing when they were coming & we have asked if the same can be done this year on FB & Twitter, so that they show up on the Twitter feed on the forum, but we have not yet heard back about it.

    I just got Activity reward 20 thanks to the fireworks, which would be about 15,000 zodiac chips.

    It is clear that the number of chips required for each zodiac sign is more skewed than last year :(

    Last year, the number of chips needed for goat was about the average.  Rat and tiger only needed 70% as many chips as goat, but dog needed twice as many chips as goat, and pig needed three times as many.

    My zodiac sign totals so far this year are:
    Rat 28%
    Ox 22%
    Horse 20%
    Goat 18%
    Monkey 17%
    Rooster 12%
    Dog 7%
    Pig 4%
    Tiger, Rabbit 3%
    Dragon, Snake 2%

    Comparing that to last year:
    Rat, ox, horse, and goat are easier;
    Monkey, dog, and pig are the same;
    Rooster is harder;
    Tiger, rabbit, dragon, and snake are a LOT harder.

    The gold spins are still the same price as last year, but more of the zodiac signs will need to be boosted :(

    FIREWORKS!!!! Related image

    My boosters are $1,000,000 too and they only last for 12 harvests, so I shoulda harvested better things first doh!! ..... But fireworks rule! I got all the activity rewards for today and a cute pagoda deco, woohoo!! Image result for smiley jazz hands
    Glad you made it. It got reset at Midnight EST on US1, so we're now on "Day 2" of the activity challenge. Day 1 rewards are gone. Gave us our usual 6 hours to finish Day 1. We'll no doubt get a 42 Hour "Day 15".

    Sucks for those that wanted the Pagoda though.

    I came to the forum to ask this same question. $1M to spin the booster wheel is outrageous. I think last year it was at the very most $100,000 to spin the wheel.

    i agree southern. not fair that we only get 6 hours to try and finish a level. I though it was supposed to be 24 hours per level

    and we only have the remainder of the 24 hours for day 1 (18 hours) to finish day 2

    No, if it works as I expect, the timer will reset to 24 hours when it runs out, but the Day (challenge) itself won't reset until 6 hours later (at Midnight EST).. So we should get a full 24 hours for each of the Days 2-14, and Day 15 will be the normal 24 hours plus the 18 hours we "missed" on Day 1 (for a total of 42 hours).

    So it's pretty safe to say (at least IMO) that we can ignore the "Time Until Next Challenge" timer.

    I'll of course know for sure tomorrow at Midnight CET (6pm EST), but that's what I expect.

    Why GGS can't "fix" US1 to mirror the CET timezone is still a mystery to me.  For this bug to exist for over a year is just incomprehensible.

    Anybody else experiencing the Zodiac chips not counting towards your round? I'll recover about 150  and the counter for the next prize will move down about 1-3. On Monday i'm contacting the Better Business Bureau. Done investing in something that doesn't make things right.

    Only Rat chips count right now.

    yes its is true , tiger ,snake and dragon are very harder this time .
    If we complete 1 sign then if we collect zodiaac sign then there is possibilty to get the completed one sign ?

    Last year the zodiac chips of the completed animals continued to drop. I expect it will probably be the same this year in order to force us to use our farm dollars or gold on the wheel booster.

    Thx gizmo22  :), means it will restart ( to add happiness ) after 100% i m right ?

    I would assume thats the way it works, my memory of last years event is a bit fuzzy but a lot of my zodiac chips ended at approx 110% when the event was finished. I am yet to see much difference this year apart from the ridiculous cost of boosters so the "re-balancing" definetely isn't in our favour. There seems to be a push for us to use gold or lots of farm dollars this time round.

    Fireworks booster needs to be announced with some sort of alarm. The run time is quite measly and it would be easy to miss out if not staring at the screen the entire time.

    The amount for spinning the wheel differs per xxx many of levels. I have level 194 and a spin costs me
    $ 1 million; one member is level 115 and a spin costs her $ 400.000, and another member has level 65 and a spin costs him $ 100.000.
  • Does anyone know if the fireworks have a sound effect at start?

    Thanks @Bufo (AU1) and @WascallyWabbit for refreshing my memory. :)

    Did somebody mention last year that they were hunting for fireworks on their mobile device and then ran to computer to harvest as soon as it arriwed? Might help some this year also. :) Wonder if that person is still playing. :)

    @ashim (IN1)

    Once a zodiac sign reaches 100%, the chips will still keep dropping for that sign, but they will be counted towards bonus happiness.

    The maximum bonus happiness is 30, and will be added to the decoration ONLY if you successfully complete ALL 12 zodiac signs :(
  • why is it the prizes change every 12 hours and im usa and it started late night for us also looks like they dont want to give away first prize
  • Kamilcom (GB1)Kamilcom (GB1) Posts: 1,499
    So one thing is easier and that is size reduction zodiacs. They were the most demanding last year, this year they are near the middle of the field. And that's exactly what we asked for so that people may have more decent chance to end up with 5x5 or at least 6x6 usable deco. There seems to be 6 signs easier then dog and pig, one as difficult as pig and 3 other more difficult then dog and pig so size reduction would come at positions 7 to 9 (just an estimate from what the things look like after half a day of playing and it will get more precise as we go). I'm guessing that they just shuffled the difficulty levels around so that amount formerly ascribed to dog and pig are now with different signs which "only" give happiness to make more crucial size reduction easier to obtain.

    Well, I'm really really pleased to see this little sign of GGS finally listening to players on things that matter. I have to say wholeharted "well done" for this bit. :) That's spells "hope for future" in my mind. :) Keep going this way you BF people. :)

    Btw: we need 6,7 % completion for a sign daily (24 hours) to make it to 100 % on the last day. You can check yourself against this value using time played to evaluate your chances on each sign and to possibly adjust strategy to serve your goals.

    Anyone know how many chips we have to collect in the 1st day?

    Also do I remeber right from last year you need to earn all the 20 rewards each day to get the complete deco?

    how do we collect 20 of each each day?

    I am not getting the booster count right. I had Bulls x 7 needed to collect 81 . Am i right that each gave 3, do i do 7x3. I had collected 9 Bulls some for 6 and some for 3, I never made the 81. I did a re-spin. Can someone help with this? Thanks
