I guess the point your all missing is this was suppose to be "fun".event to bring your co op together during the holidays, emails I am getting from seasoned players in other co ops is anything but enjoyment and cooperation, more like total frustration, helplessness and anger..
Different strokes for different folks.  We ARE enjoying the event, for us, so far, it has been fun, we're bonding, and enjoying the time together. It is saddening that it seems the majority aren't having the same enjoyable experience.

At least one member in my coop has a different list of items they're collecting than what it says on my donation list - ie they wanted help with almonds, on my list for them there are no almonds

checking with them their exact list of items, it isn't remotely close to the one i have for them

has anyone else encountered this? cos i didnt see it in the known bugs in the mod post

I can only agree ......... thx for the positive sound @KarenKay (US1). We are having such joy too - working and bonding together brings good spirit to the coop.

Don't worry: there are more than 30 mio players all over the world. Only a very small quantity do visit this forum, and believe you me: the vast majority of satisfied & happy players will hardly ever write in the forum.

That's why you get a skewed picture of just negative posts, but this really doesn't represent a majority at all!

Maybe they should have left fishing out of it as so many aren't fishing.

Perhaps, in the future, a separate fishing competition for those who are interested, leaving fishing out of general events like this.

Newsflash: it's always like that @Corvid (GB1). It was like that last year's event and it's like that this year again. It was mentioned in the announcement also:

[ Phase 2: Guardian Period (helping others by donating products)
    • If you finish your own task, you can immediately start helping your friends by donating products (required goods may vary and will scale according to donors' player levels)! ]

Otherwise things would be too easy of course!

I'm not sure that's what that means - it will vary because each person has a different list, surely it can't mean it will vary because they're not actually collecting that but you can donate for no benefit to them whatsoever :dizzy:

one member's list seemed right, they wanted a certain fish, i filled the order, all was good

i thought that was how it was meant to work.... lol idk anymore, always seems a mess
  • Its not completely random, the lists are all very similar in the type of product in each slot. For example, the top slot is going to be a fish or a restaurant dish. As Jiesta says its the same as last year & doesn`t really make it any more difficult, in fact it can make it easier, because if one member can`t help with a certain item, another member may see an easier one and be able to fill it.

@artful (US1)  I don't have any fish on my first order, just MB meal deal. But glad it's included. From what I read it seems only bass and bonito plus first MB meal is included which seems fair deal.

As a side note: i'd like to know based on what data anybody claims how majority feels about the game? Just wild guesses are of not much value. Anybody's done a survay among those supposed 30 mil players? I'd dare to guess too. :) Nobody has such survay data available. :)  And another guess: If we could access GG internal logs we would probably find out that wast majority of those supposed 30 mil players has left the game within first few weeks or even days of playing to never come back. What would that tell us about how majority feels? :)

having said the above, I'm enjoying this event also. Think GG bosses have done much better job then last year, despite usual, obvious and by now even traditional mess accompanying it. :) It wouldn't be GGS if everything was not messy. :) I'm starting to accept that as characteristic company feature. :) A trademark if you wish: Time to start to coin a new slogan? GGS, great in gaming mess. :)

so are you saying, if im seeing peaches for them, it will actually be the almonds they need?

but it will take peaches from me?

You donate towards their order based on slot position. Has nothing to do with what they have on their order. The game somehow recalculates the amounts to make it work together. What you harvest and donate is based on your level. So even low level players can help high level ones as they are asked to donate what they can have, not what original high level player order asks for. On the other hand high level player helping low level one will be asked to donate goods based on his ability, not on low level player ability.

Hope that makes it clearer a bit.

Another point of concern. This was brought to attention last year, but as I can see GG didn't take that into an account:

Players asked to give cooperative leader/deputies ability to at some point block players from participating on event. As it is, somebody comming in the game after 3 days offline, just last hour of the chapter, even last minute, can easily wreak all the effort of the whole cooperative by simply harvesting their farm. This concern is even more urgent then last year as nobody can avoid joining the event if they farm, making the risk of many many furious cooperatives and players even greater.

I think this should be addressed by GG asap as their top priority.  Or have I overlooked something somewhere?

Actually, brings a question to my mind. When cooperative has entered phase 3. Can other players still start their participation in the event? This might be solution. Can @Southern (US1) or anybody else who's cooperative is in phase 3 already comment on that? Have you entered phase 3 with some mates inactive? If yes, any sign if they can still join or not?

As GGS introduces new features, it only makes sense that these would be incorporated into future events. (Though I'm still waiting to see alfalfa and rutabagas in a contract).  I, for one, totally enjoy the fishing component.  I make more money fishing in a day, than with my honey cream, so it's a win win since I do both.  I understand the frustration of trying to learn when it was glitchy and not working correctly, but there's no hindrance now.  I suggested that all members stock up on fish and the recipes, just hoping that it would be included, and was thrilled to see that it was.  I totally understand why we can't fish ourselves, per an earlier post explaining all of this, and it's pretty easy to send Oleg out to do the "fishy business" for us and you easily make back what you've spent with a simple click.

I guess I wish folks would quit ranting on and on about the fishing, and embrace it as an integral part of their farming operation, and thank you GGS for including it. The lists are more interesting with these added items.

While there may be that many accounts, the number of weekly players is quite likely less than a million. And player who pops in once a week isn't really active.
Dunno about that many servers but int1 has roughly 20k weekly players, some weeks not even that.

ok now I am sending Oleg to do the fishing so it counts

but every time I click on the boat to see how much time is left so I can re-send him again

the time counter rests back  to an hour

    this is frustrating

same problem happens in my farm too

Does any body know what is the maximum happiness for the 2*5 deco ?

I was just going to post on this. so co ops are going to start booting players from co ops because if they just so happen to be doing something this weekend and didn't start they will find themselves without a co op for the sake of a 3rd level deco, seriously wish this event was never conceived really , all it has done is cause discontent and torn co ops apart
  • Good after noon players ... I just want to add my 2 cents worth ... with all the posts about stock this and prepare for that and everyone was worrying ,I got caught up in it and therefore made my coop go on edge... but now that the event is here we are all really enjoying it .... we all completed phase one in 3 hours (13 members highest level is 67)... took another hour to finish up the ones that just came back online ..and now we are working on phase 3 ... we like donating and watching the ticker count down ... not that stressful at all ... yeah we had cherries and jasmine and barley in our orders to slow us down ...but  u know what ... we didn't complain we just sat down and got it done together .... WE ARE HAVING FUN IN OUR COOP .!!! so what I am suggesting is ... forget the deco ..forget the numbers ... forget the fish glitches ... forget it all and JUST ENJOY THE GAME ... it doesn't have to be about finishing or winning .... it about wasting a little time online doing some farming ..

Good Luck to everyone ..Happy Holidays!!!

    Really?
I know this is not theme for that, but can you tell me how? I got feeling that you can't earn much money from fishing.
What level of fishing and mermaid bay?
Can it be achieved without gold?

we were on phase 3 when a member came online and started his order
all our progress in the cooperative mission bonus was reset and we had to complete that player's order
when we did it, then another cooperative mission task showed up (the previous was to donate 171k of wet pig feed).
Then we got a mission to donate bass...
So, the point is that if a member starts their order after the coop is already in phase 3, their progress with cooperative mission task is lost, but their progress in personnal bonus mission task is saved.

Ha ha, as if there would actually be a "start" button. I didn't believe it for a second, because no one should.
Sure enough: today I harvested everything and then clicked on the Christmas event to see if it has a start button. It said I've completed 3% of it. So it counts your "participation" even if you never even click on it and thus don't even know what it wants you to collect.

How... un-Santa-like. He should be changed into George in stead. "You woke up and harvested milk I see. I want milk. You harvesting milk must mean you read my mind and want to accept my task of you speedcollecting about 16,000 milk in 5 days to amuse me - I won't even take it I just want to see you not sleep for a week. Or you could not harvest any milk at all, because I am insane and require you either do all or nothing - or else I'll punish your co-op. Because I'm reasonable like that. By the way, you already harvested some milk before you saw me so the collect-none option is already out, and somehow that's your fault."

Every time I try to come back there's more exhausting stuff and events that make co-op members hate each other. Just chill already. The most activity and fun me and the co-op I'm in had when all we had was the normal farms and maybe 1 temp farm every 2 months or something, and we could all say "no" if we had less time to play at any given time, without having to walk on glass to avoid hurting each other in events. (=

This is a great event, works well and gets everyone working together  but  it does need a start button.
We have had several occasional players log back once we were on stage 3 quest and it resets the quest each time, causing  wasted products and time. Other than that , it is good fun, much better than last year .
  • Is it just me, or is there others who keep getting logged out? I have now been kicked off about 5 times in 10-15 minutes
Been having issues with disconnects four a week myself, and all night here. You are not the only one.

me too, its very disturbing :(

Hi Charlie. :) You've made me think again. :) Every time somebody makes a grand antre enthusiastic like this it actually highlights some core problems of this game. Of course you've "all" finished in 3 hours. No problem at all. We all could have done it. One could even ask what took you so long? :) Clicking gold and seaweed can be done a lot faster regardless the player level or co-op size. :) Anyway, glad you like the event and are having fun ............ and going through your forget this and forget that recomendation  ........... I jjust completely forgot why I'm actually playing this game? ? ? Anybody can help me pls? ? ? :) Heeeeeeeeeeelp ! ! !

your post sounded like  you were implying that we used gold to finish our first phase .... I will haveyou know that that is not so .... we just preparedfor the event for the last 10 day ... upgrading barns and filling them ... and starting the event with everything ready to harvest ... it was a strtigic move that most of us made and it worked for us .... and now we are doing that again in anticipation for chapter two .... I'm sorry you feel that everyone is using gold ... but that is just not soo ... good luck to you and thank you for the vote of confidence to all the  non-gold gamers ...

    Ok, this is fun.

We just had someone come on that hasn't been on for a few days, and they started the event.  It kicked us out of Phase 3 (Which wanted 1,770,000 Apples, remember?) and back down to Phase 2..

So we finished that member off and reached Phase 3 again. As expected, the Co-Op project was reset.. What'd we get THIS time?

    Yup. 174,168 WILDFLOWERS.

So we went from $780 MILLION dollars worth of apples to $1.7 Million dollars worth of Wildflowers. We just saved $778 MILLION dollars.

GGS, I think your RNG needs a bit of work.

  • They should have left well enough alone and went with last years blue print of the event. What a big mess.
    AAAAAAAAAMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Outstanding!  We were in the Bonus Phase only a few hundred WF's left to collect for completion, when one of our absent members logged in.  :)  The Bonus Quest immediately vanished and we fell back to the Guardian Phase.  We completed her list in a matter of seconds, but the Bonus Quest changed to Wheat, and back to the full amount.  :/  This will take longer to complete, but we're working together to get it done.  I never had any intention of booting anyone, the coop will remain intact and just like you, we'll be happy with whatever we earn because we did it by working together.

So having no start button means I won't be able to farm for 5 weeks because I know I will be busy with the holidays and therefore not be able to fill my orders. Hmmmm, maybe I will have forgotten about playing entirely after 5 weeks.
