coop projects

Hi,

we had a discussion in our coop lately about coop projects and we agreed that we are pretty fed up with old ones. Always the same ones over and over again. Can you do something about that? We would really like to have new coop projects to do. It's not interesting anymore doing the same ones all the time :(

  • Totally AGREE!!!!  I love this game and I've never been afraid to let everyone know that in spite of some of the seemingly "selfish and greedy" things GGS does, They Are Very Brilliant and Amazing people!!  I would think they could kinda put their brilliant heads together and come up with some new "every day" stuff......The themed events have gotten boring as well.......I mean what is that chick doin' to that poor pig??!!  We get'im well, and a couple weeks later, he's SICK AGAIN!!??  and the "BeeLady"??!!  c'mon now, bees will be bees, and they WILL come back..........it would bee nice as well, if maybe the prizes for them could change every now and then too...........I'll bee back when I think of something else to say........ B)

Well with all the new things that GGS has coming in the coop village  you wont be bored for long and the weekly challenge there but I agree a new weekly event would be very welcome also like the idea of new prizes keep the weekly as is but give different set of prizes would be great.

I do not know why u do projects anyway.  They do NOTHING at all.  Once co op goes past level 57 you can do ALL research then they do nothing at all, except for the players that have a huge ego and need to big number 1 on all ranking and spend lots of gold to do so.   Our co op does not even do them and def does not use any gold to add collectables or to complete.  The gold return for going up level is far less than what some co op players put in, they would have been better off just donating the gold to the co op, except for their ego.

That's good to know in the future. Thanks Bryron LongFord

we are to   stuck on them, old one over and over be cause 2 members would not help
but we moved them  out   to try to get new members

so we got 2 spot empty

that's true to it takes a lot of our money   to join in them

I think I'm  going to tell Lynn  not to push it about them until we get new members that want to help be cause doing the same ones over and over it not fun and I  need my money to upgrade and need my money to buy my stuff

To be honest you're better off to build up your farms as that will help the co op more ;)

I agree! The project thing should be completely scrapped because they are pointless especially for ppl that couldn't care less about rankings. The coop rank system is flawed anyway because some coops were around years before others.

Personally i'd rather do something along the lines of a coop market, your team contributes together to fill contracts and everyone gets rewarded upon completion. Whether its farm dollars, gold, seaweed, feed etc etc is up to GGS. Either way i'd prefer this setup to the current solidarity points system.....such a useless reward and a tedious process to get them.
  • A big problem is that most projects quickly level up until an average co-op can no longer do them. Thus, most co-ops are stuck with doing the same few projects over and over.

A simple solution would be to get rid of the time limit. That would greatly increase the variety of projects the average co-op could do.

The research that currently allows more time for projects could be redefined to reduce the amount of stuff that needs to be collected to complete a project.

I don't know if stuck doing the co op projects over and over is a bad thing as that is how your co op raises in the rankings.
The time limit put on these co op projects are there for a reason, to get you to build up your co op so your group can do them with in the time allowed.
There is research your co op can do to increase the amount of time allowed for the co op projects as you mentioned but there is also research to reduce the amount of collectibles required to start a co op project.
Check in your co op research under "Cooperative Projects" for "Negotiation Skill" and "Optimize Process"

I love doing the projects, but when you have a massive turnover of co-op members it's hard to do them. Our co-op recently lost a bunch of the older farms due to inactivity and the newer farms can't do the projects at the current co-op level. So now we're getting more players dropping out due to boredom or depression because we can't finish any of them. It's a bloody merry-go-round that we can't seem to get off of. Now if we had a reset button to lower the requirements to finish a project (not collectables to start one) maybe we could keep the newer players interested, even if it meant dropping down a few co-op levels.

Just my opinion, but I wonder if any others feel the same?
