  • I live in Indonesia, I have problem.
My account from South Africa, I can not buy the gold because I don`t see IDR and Indonesian cellular server.
    What can I do????
  • I would like for the co-op chat text entry limit to be removed. If I type up more than one or two sentences and press enter on the co-op chat, then the chat box just eats my entry and does not display it. This is very annoying for all players, especially for the ones who are new and don't know about the chat text limit. It makes it difficult to give members advice or explain things about the game that are complex and take a lot of intricate details to explain. So whenever I want to type up a paragraph, I have to press enter every 10 words.

In Empire, I can copy/paste the entire declaration of Independence if I want to, and the chat will accept it there. There is no difference between the chat on BigFarm and the chat on other Goodgame games, so why have a limit?

    Totally agree!
Also a larger send & receive mail box, maybe some thing allowed to grow with the co op size for the co op leader & deputies.
  • I have more problems with the limitation in the messages. In chat I type an enter after every sentence. For long explanations I use messages. But sometimes you have to use 3 messages to tell your story. And along that, you cannot see when the message is full

When sending letters I often have to send them in 2 or 3.(Letters)

Especially with the new village coming. We are going to need to communicate much more. Longer chat; longer messages and a longer News window too.

GGS!!! I really hope your looking at the posts in this thread!   Because this problem is really Big, everyone has agreed- not 1 person disagrees.  So please pay attention, and seriously look at making the  Messages (emails) text limit a lot longer.  The Co-op Chat as well urgently needs to be made a lot longer. PLEASE FIX!!!

Support! Everytime I have to send an ingame message I get pissed off while trying to fit it in the ridiculously small character limit, while trying to still make sense and say the most important things. Because I don't like spamming peoples mail I don't usually send multiple messages, and therefore can't allow any side-notes or details in my mails.
It also makes it (Me) sound very unfriendly when I have to cut out every nice thing and make short, direct sentences.

The character limit is ridiculous to the point there could just as well be no message function at all...
I totally agree with this, and have the problem most times I write a letter.

Let's hope GGS are listening to this, I think there is a lot of favour for longer emails.
    PLEASE.

(P.S.  Very good point Uncle John (GB1)

I have a test server account, and have found this already to be way to true. (A few days ago i sent a letter explaining the new Co-op Village, to members in my (Test server) co-op, I had to do it in 3 letters.)

Two here, like  @ Graycat Ashes S (US1), have/do played/play on Empire... the window for chat opens up bigger, the mail length is much better and wish it was like that here. The message system is better on Empire as is mail length. Amount of mail kept needs increased as well. Please??? Thanks
  • This thread started in 2013........nothing has changed....pretty sure GGS is not listening.

    Totally bogus!!
  • I was just thinking the same thing Janisss..........not gonna happen........but I DO wish they would stop accusing me of saying naughty words!!  One that really gets me is if you end a sentence with a word that ends in the letter T  and then start the next sentence with the word  "It's"  you get accused of saying the word T I T S..........lolololol............I have to really look close at what I just wrote sometimes to find what in the world they are talking abou(t..it's) very annoying.....y'know?   B)
  • it would be nice if you could read further back as well, I like to read what others have said in chat, a lot of my coop are online when I am asleep. when I look back I find I have missed half of a conversation.
  • As you can see from Steffi's post this suggestion has not been successful in the past, but we have resubmitted it, along with John's point that the new coop village will make the need even greater. :)

Comming a bit too late, but I too support longer mails and longer co-op chat limit. The least you can do, GG, is to make it work. Not displaying longer lines in chat is a bug which should have been fixed years ago.

And btw explanation given by Steffi sounds like a silly excuse on GG side. How many bites does a few extra lines of text take, compare to graphics and computer code? No problem to add extensive viilage with all it's data, or event farms, but big problem to add a few lines of text? C'mon boys! Stop pulling our noses. :):) Even if, this excuse still doesn't apply to low limit of chat lines and that not working properly (not sending long texts), as it doesn't increase the amount of data stored. Hence I say, make a move GG, without excuses. :):)

Ok, I think I'll better summarise for clarity, as there are 4 individual requests presented here:

    1. Make mails longer
    2. Make history in chat longer
    3. Allow for longer typing in chat line
    4. Fix the bug which doesn't allow the written text to display when typed to the last carracter of the limit, even when some carracters are then deleted.
Point's 3 and 4 DO NOT require storage data increase. :)

PS: Press them hard Wabbit. :)

If anything, I would think shorter messages actually increase the load on the server.  Surely it's more efficient to send one long message than 4 short messages.  Maybe not.  I don't know what resources they're working with.

But I do know that when I do all the explaining of how the Co-op Village works to all the co-op members who are going to need instruction, I will send as many messages as are necessary.  And I can tell you right now that it's going to be a LOT of messages.

Hey, maybe we'll crash the server!

I agree with @buddy194 (US1) and the rest of the posters here, that we need to be able to provide information in a more resourceful way.
The in game message restrictions is proving to be to small even for medium sized co op of say 40 members.
I can not imagine what a maxed co op 70 plus members has to deal with.
  • I agree completely with all the points that have been made.  The email messages and chat window needs to allow for more characters.

I would also like the "Sent" message box to hold 75 emails rather than 25. This is especially frustrating when you are sending multiple messages to cover a topic. I have to copy and paste the important info messages into a word document and then cut and paste back as new members come into the co-op or someone needs a clarification or resend.

    Thank you!
  • Here too. If you accidentally go over the limit in chat the message wil disappear completely some times and you need to do the entire thing over.Message and chat should be longer.

I wold like to see a larger co-op mail window.

More space to type in would be wonderful.

Not true!! Both the space of chat as of messages were increased twice since 2013, so what you are saying is not true. 4-2 years ago we worked with even much smaller message space, imagine!!

But I do agree with everybody else that we would love to see these spaces to be increased for a third time - and a larger send & receive mail box would be very welcome too (especially with the Coop Village coming soon)!!

EDIT: but as @RunsWivScissors (GB1) writes here under so rightfully, I am very afraid for more lagging of the game too. So If I was to choose, I would choose for a faster working game too!

This is probably going to be a really unpopular post, but here goes.  Image result for smiley under chair

We have been told several times that the in game message system is intentionally basic, so that it does not use up game resources, it is not meant to be a chat room or a coop tutorial site. Obviously we would all love to have a chat system with all the bells & whistles, unlimited space, clickable links, smileys etc etc but given a choice between that & a less laggy game, I am sorry but I would prefer the game to work faster.

There are plenty of chat options for coops, especially the new forum "groups", but there are also many free website hosting sites, messenger systems etc So I would much prefer that GGS improve the logins on the forum & encourage coops to use the Group function there, rather than add more stuff to the game that not everyone needs, but all would suffer for.

Having said that, there is one improvement that I think is absolutely needed, in order for coops to be able to make use of Groups or alternate websites, we need to be able to copy/paste from the main info page of the coop, so that we can put a link there that people can use - Clickable would be better but I would settle for being able to at least copy/paste from there.

I know longer emails is highly wished for and has been passed along. I hope that happens. Also can we get an autocorrect?? Or would that effect how we find ways around the forbidden word list? I call Lester the idiot that jumps up and down waiving his arms and have learned to spell it "ldiot" so the message will go through. If auto correct is too much of a conflict with our little ways of saying what we want then ignore this suggestion please
