@Damaria3 (US1)  The reason they gave for not wanting horses was, and I quote, "Horses do not fit in with the farm theme", end quote. This unleashed a firestorm of responses from the players, who were really ticked off! This was in March of 2013, mind you. I can't give you a link to that thread because it was lost in the archives when we moved to the new forum. :(

Wow @farmerjohn 22 (US1) dont fit in the farm theme so they added horse racing that was a big leap don't you think.  There are horse farms while I like the horse park it would be nice to see some green grassy fields as you would on a real horse ranch in all that dirt.  I like the western theme there but think spruce up grazing area would be improvement. Thanks for sharing that  had no idea.

Not to mention most farms have horses on them. ie: work horses. Talk to any Amish and they will tell you. LOL
  • I wonder where I could find statistics about the number of horses on farms versus the number of cats on farms - I would be really surprised if there weren't WAY MORE cats than horses - not that horses aren't nice and all, but what is any place without a cat?  We even have 'Cat Cafes' in Canada now.

There are UNDOUBTEDLY more cats on farms for pest control than there are horses but MANY farms do have horses as well. Most farms have 6 or more cats. We have 9 (all spayed and neutered) cats ourselves.

I know right! Makes you MAD AS H-LL!
  • yep get a cat it can get mice and get us stars
  • Maybe put in a cat or two walking around like the people do...and when you click on them they meow, and after so many clicks your reward would be a kitty kat flag. :)

Or make it an event that we have to find hidden cat toys..mice..catnip herbs..Halloween cats...you know SOMETHING. :D
Or for cats sake put one in special buildings...charge us a boat load of gold...so we can all be happy ! >:)

    <3.... nothing but
  • it doesn't have to be any kind of special breed - just a regular DSH (domestic short hair) or a regular old barn cat!  At least tell us what we would have to do to earn the right to have a cat!!

Yes and No I have cat Toffee and this cat I have been feeding for 2+ years and he spends a lot of his time asleep in cat basket, just doesn't want to be tied to 1 slave . I have seen him go into another neighbours house   :)

Same here would like a farm cat  :)
  • Cats are better value than dogs on the farm, unless the dog/s round up sheep or cattle.  WHY NOT have a cat on the farm???
  • We don't need cats, there are no mice on Bug Farm.

We need the dogs to warn us about those darn pesky neighbors always wanting our stuff!

No we don't need cat to help keep the pesky rats & mice away, not all. Have you checked your feed lately??
We want a farm cat to go with the dog!!

Heck yeah!! I've been waiting for a farm kitty ever since I started playing this game like, 3 years ago or more. Here, kitty, kitty, kitty!  >^. .^<  :)
  • We need a cat on BF for the simplest reason we need to fall back in love with this game that have treated us all so badly recently.
And cats do make you fall in love <3
  • Have the cats stay around the barn. Two cats, two barns, and additional features as barns are upgraded. Milk from cows and goats maybe for cats, and click on mice and rats like with bubbles. Click on and cats pounce, something to that effect. Another wild idea.
