It seems to me that shorter missions would give the higher level players and gold users an advantage -- the ones who collect a huge harvest right off the bat then move on.  The other guys could barely make a move before the mission is over.
  • A lot of times when I do these mission, I get overwhelm with the order.  IF they want me to do wildflowers, and to shelf wild flowers you need like 1k, well it will take a long time to collect that unless you use special feed and gold.  And staying put for 30 mins like you click wild flowers that take 2 or less minutes well, will give you carpel tunnel it you not careful.  Plus wildflowers are not used in any thing so you will have to sell them as soon as possible so as not to go over your barn storage for wildflowers and when that menu pops up it slows you down so you cant get your next planting of wild flowers started so you can beat the clock and get more total flowers for the mission.

I find that after a while i forget that I have wildflowers planting and look away and there go I miss the next collection and then my score in line is just lowered because of that.  Very frantic some times.

Wildflowers are used on the flower farm, but not that many are needed.  I see your point, though.  I don't sweat harvesting when it's wildflowers, unless I lucked out and already had special wildflowers to harvest when the mission began.  I just click when I can and do other things on the computer.  I don't try to win those.

Well with the shelving missions you are cutting time so that seems to answer that  and to be honest I usually ignore the rutabaga and that other newbie
  • But as I said, shelving missions is an advantage if you have tons of the items, otherwise, you won't have a change at getting much out of that mission.

Though I respect your thoughts that you do not see a purpose for shorter missions since you can shelve.

I'm starting to think missions are a big waste of time and effort, just about every time I do one I get players who have between 100% and 500% more levels than I to participate against, some of who grow or harvest ridiculous numbers... personally I think the mission participates should only be the people in your co-op.
  • I don't know how to take a pic of it. If did I would report them to GGS.
How do I take a screenshot?

For Windows users: you can use your keyboard to do so. Take a look at it. Usually right above the backspace key or somewhere near that, you will see a button with Prt Sc on it. This means Print Screen (or take a print/photo of the screen). What colour is this text? If it is blue, you need an Fn key (located next to the left hand Ctrl key or anywhere on the bottom row of keys on your keyboard). If it is white or grey you can probably just press it or you need to use the Alt key to make it work. If you use a second key, you always press them simultaneously. This will take a photo of your screen and whatever is shown on it and store it to your clipboard. The clipboard is explained in the alinea above that explains copy-pasting. Now you will need to open an image editor. Most computers come with the standard Paint program. Look for this program or open a different progam like Photoshop. Once you have opened the program (I will continue with Paint) you see a white square or rectangle area in the top left part of the screen. Now you can use 2 commands. You either right-click somewhere on that white area and select ‘paste’ or you click on the white area and press CTRL+V simultaneously. The screenshot you took will appear in the editor. Now you may want to trim the edges to hide some of your computer’s menu bars so not everybody can see all your personal stuff or you may want to wipe out how many dollars you have on your farm account because that is personal and secret account data. Select a cutting tool to cut the edges off and select a painting or erasing tool to remove your dollar/gold amount or any other part of the printscreen you do not want to show or that is not relevant. You can even add a shape to it like an arrow or a circle to draw the attention to the part of the screenshot you want to discuss. Once you are done editing, you can go to ‘File’ on the menu bar and then click on ‘save’ (or ‘save as…’). Type a name for your image and select the correct image file to save it as. The most common image file is the .jpeg one. You could also use other types, but not every website supports all image types to be uploaded. Once your image has been saved you can use it wherever you want.

For Mac users: You need to use the Command, Shift and 3 keys simultaneously to take a screenshot of your entire screen. This will already save the image as a .png file on your desktop. You can open the image in an image editor to edit it and save it as a .jpeg. More ways to take screenshots of parts of your screen can be found on the Apple support page, right here: (click here)

Now tell me how a farmer can collect 1412 feed instantly? When with windmill upgraded to max can only make 240 feed. How is this possible?

gee my windmill is fully upgraded to the max and various books completed so I get 360 feed....  no gold etc.  Anything is possible given the right circumstances, computer speed, clicking speed etc.

Also, the watermill counts towards  the feed mission... again anything is possible

oh and I get  360 feed out of  the watermill as well...

and I am a fast clicker and depends on how quickly you see something... I am sure I can get 1500 feed up before you will even realize it if I so desire. Again anything is possible within the rules of the game even if we all don't like it.

I think it's mostly based on who is looking for a mission at the time. :)

I totally agree with this statement...  I will say with the changes that they have made most in missions with me have been close in level.. hope to see this for everyone

I don't know, not really sure if its based on who is looking for missions, could it be per location? That's couse (specially during the CC) i pay attention on who im playin against and i can count in my fingers how many times i played against a member of my coop, (we r a very active coop) as for the other members they r always in missions together. Could it b couse they r closer in relation to each other? (geographic speaking) like, they r  closer dots on the map?

I quit doing missions. So I don't care about them anymore. No one believed me anyway.Only do the daily one and during CC. Only ones going to win missions is players who put money in game and those that cheat.

I do a few a day -- more when CC is on, but only until I get my tractors and farm machinery maxed out. Then I'll probably stop.

It's not that people didn't believe you, Jennifer.  It's that you didn't believe them when it was pointed out to you over and over again, how those extremely high numbers were mathematically possible.

I believe you Jennifer, and I think others do too,  the ones that keep posting anything is possible is exactly that they have not experienced it when I was new a few things seemed impossible then when got explaination i saw that was true but that pig challenge you talked about was truly impossible to get fairly.

I have seen "impossible" initial results in the feed missions also. I had that occur in one of the very first missions of this challenge.  Still way too early and not enough coffee for math.  Let's see 720 feed ready to harvest per prior post. Reload mills and gold them. etc.  Seaweed special crops for input to mill.  I guess it is possible to amass thousands of feed in just a minute or so.

  • Okay, so back to the original topic ...

I finally got my son to try playing the game. He did a mission today and this was his competition:

    Levels: 13, 14, 14 .... 50, 151, 177

IMHO this is totally unacceptable as there is ZERO way (without spending gold) for lower level players to compete with higher level players.  This is exactly why I stopped doing missions long ago (I do buy plenty of gold, but I'm not using it on missions).  Why is this still happening?

I understand your frustration with the missions. They have been trying different things to even out the playing field some what during the missions. One of the biggest problems was, if there was no players playing at the time you happen to go looking for a mission that were near your player level, then you would end up in a sole-o, all by your self, for the mission. They have no control on who plays when or how those players will play. To lessen the sole-o missions they broadened the gap between player levels that would be pitted against each other. Every one has the same chances as the next person of being pitted against a high level player and or a gold paying player of any level.
You do not have to use gold and or seaweed products during the missions. All you really have to do is collect as much of the the item required by the mission as you can during the length of the mission. You will earn certificates and rep points for each mission you are actively involved in. The more players, the more totally collected and where you finish will determine your share. To help improve your rewards work on getting and upgrading your tractors.

I dont get the big gripe of being alone in a mission I love those and I seem to get a good amt of  points with no stress.

It just happened again as soon as i start a mission there is someone with 260 pigs right of the bat! I just don't understand that!  :s:|
  • Damaria3 (US1)Damaria3 (US1) US1 Posts: 1,737
You dont give details falcon how many pig pen at what level easy to do if you have the pig pens leveled up.
  • Well yeah i guess could be true  :)
  • In missions i have seen people get to like 5 Milk and dung is so much worse.

Missions should involve people of similar levels with like difference of 10 levels or somewhere around that figure. Because right now its not fair on the low level players who get placex with level 60+

I agree with you there. But the trouble is that the game has no idea when a player is going to be on to play let alone do a mission. So to stop sole-o missions they broaden the level spread. Do what you can collect your rewards and work on improving your main farm ;)
  • That is fine, but I am lvl 262 and poor player lvl 26 against me.  That is not fair, how can they even think about competing.

OK ... I just noticed this and must say I do like that "missions" are somewhat together on one thread now.

I wanted to make a post concerning the fairness of the missions (which is what brought me here today).  I think it would be a great re-design suggestion to put an "Opt Out" button on the missions:  this is especially noted for the Cooperative Championship.  The "Shelve" button was a good enhancement, however; when we get 2 (or more) dung and/or cow or egg missions back to back that pretty much does the dung in (once around is enough!).  Even in shelving (for some of us) the amount required takes just about the entirety of the mission to collect, so it is really not a good choice.  The "Opt Out" would give us the choice to just move on quickly to another mission, where hopefully we have a better chance of competing.

Just my suggestion but I think it would make especially the Cooperative Championship a bit more tolerable.

I like your idea/suggestion there @Tex-2-Step (INT1) of the "Opt Out" option or "try again" or a better match.
  • no way no one  can have that much  items show up instantly right at start of mission. No one can have mills with 1412 ready to harvest at start of mission.Cheaters Cheaters!
No. Its called playing with gold.
We do that often ; )

    Morning farmers,

I have just played a mission against a player who is above level 200. Anyway it was pigs. I visited his/her farm & found they didn't have any pigsty's. Yet they were able to somehow/someway manipulate this mission so as to score around 3k pigs.. OKAY how is this possible???
You would have missed a pigsty with an appearance. ;)

Also that Dog house give 1000 Pig @ lvl 7
    May b 3k pigs at level10.

    - you should have checked the Dog lvl

I want u all to leave me alone.I gave up on missions, so don't care about who is using gold or cheating to win mission. I am always going to come in last  no matter how hard I work to upgrade items on farm because people with money will buy the win. So missions are not fun part of game for me.

Jennifer:  I wouldn't quit the missions just don't think of it as a competition, instead try thinking of it as benefiting your farm.  Take what rep points you get and the certificates and be happy with that.  You use the certificates to build your farm equipment up, that's a positive for you.  The missions have most of us frustrated beyond belief so you are not alone in that.  I understand the massive amounts of items starting off in a mission (I have 1 person that always has thousands of feed right from the start, shelves, then moves on - I have come up against him in many of my missions!).  It's just the nature of the "greed" beast but you shouldn't let that stop you from participating.  Just keep chugging along like the rest of us!  There are more of us with you than you know   :)

Tex-2-Step Well written argument. And it is a Coop-Championship,so you are not doing it alone for yourself, but also for your Coop.
Besides that we were all in the same position where you are in now.
Last C-C we had a new member with a -40 level farm who had at the end 84K Rp Points
That may not seems to be a lot,but that player spend many hours doing missions with contender 80 levels or more higher than that player.
I never forget that i had 2 years ago also a low level farm, and after the C-C the leader thanked every player for his hard work and it made me proud to be a member of that team.
I sended after last C-C also a Coop mesage to thank all the players for their hard work.
And it is not the first drop that fills the bucket, but the last drop.
IMO we are all evenly important in our coop. Low or high level player

First it is my decisions if I don't want to do missions. I do missions during CC and I have been in several co ops and everyone of them are players who will not even do missions even during CC. As much as I hate doing mission I do them during CC. Would feel guilty if I didn't do them during CC and get the prizes.
