If the game is more casual about matching players up, then you don't have solo missions, but there will be more mismatching.
People have been saying they hate solo missions, so GGS is now using more casual matching to avoid them.
Personally, I think GGS shouldn't bother with matching. They should just put the next 6 players who ask for a mission together. That way, strong players would no longer have an incentive to do poorly in half their missions in order to get matched against weaker opponents.
As for missions since the update its good to have opponents. Sure there are mismatches at times but its much better than sitting there for half an hour playing by yourself for a measly reward. Not a fan of the milk mission because it interferes with the dung but its just another element of the game that challenges us to adapt so its not a bad thing.
I thought more equal are classified with each other when playing a mission. I notice it still doesn't works like that. With us is someone who has level 77 and play against all players between level 108 and 176 .... here I do not understand much of it. And honestly it is not fun to have to play missions in such a way. The large farms always win and you vanquished.
So Big Farm what are you going to do against this unfair playing.
I have just played a mission against a player who is above level 200. Anyway it was pigs. I visited his/her farm & found they didn't have any pigsty's. Yet they were able to somehow/someway manipulate this mission so as to score around 3k pigs.. OKAY how is this possible???
Glad you solved the mystery
I think it's mostly based on who is looking for a mission at the time.

I have seen this all too often. The latest was a mission for eggs where someone had 3,000 + eggs right out of the gate. Immediately. She had two chicken coops -- one at level 2, one at level one. And no gourmet farm, so no ducks. No way could she have harvested that much right off the bat.
Hate coops but missing out on the benefits? Check out "Hearts of Gold," the non-coop coop -- we leave you alone to farm your way. No donations or group participation required.

Now tell me how a farmer can collect 1412 feed instantly? When with windmill upgraded to max can only make 240 feed. How is this possible?
It's who you know.
I know that I've had missions stop before the timer has counted down. I also know that the "harvest ready" timer on the right-hand side of my screen is at least 5 seconds faster than the harvest actually being ready.

Edit to add:
Okay Now you are just toying with me. FIVE hours of missions now; Rutabagas now for the 3rd time. Not fun anymore. Gonna go outside and forget this stupid game for a while.

Hoping GGBF will also consider shorter missions, like 15-18 minutes. That would make it easier to people to play missions and I think more people would play a mission that doesn't require near undivided attention for 30 minutes. Those missions would also work well with the pigs and cows with fast pig and cow food. 18 minutes would allow for corn since corn is 5 minutes and other field missions.
In the alternative, people could choose a short or longer mission which would make more people likely to play more of them -- myself included.
And may I add, rutabaga missions come up way to often, you can only use so much of that! lol
But you make a good point and concern about making the certificates fair on shorter missions.
