Why do I keep losing ranking points for the horse race??

@v_333 (US1) the simple answer is, after bronze league, your horse loses a certain number of points when it is challenged and loses: -1 in Silver, -2 in Gold, -4 in Platinum (and Diamond).
I try to only challenge horses close to my horses level. Usually with in 5 or 6 levels either way. Usually I get what I feel is a more balanced chance at winning the races I should and loosing the other as I should and it works out pretty close from what I have found.
I am in the bronze league and my recent challenges have all been in the gold league.
I do as Data King said, I try only to challenge horses close to my horse level...
As for challenging horses close to your own level, that's fine and dandy, but most of the time, I'm presented with horses 50 and over. LOL!
If you are in one of the below leagues and you initiate and lose the challenge:
Bronze League - do not lose any points
Silver League - lose 1 point
Gold League - lose 2 points
Platinum League - lose 4 points
Diamond League - lose 4 points
If you are not losing any points ever.... be happy, I don't have such a glitch and I lose the points when I lose the challenge.
Even though I always end up in the Gold League at the end of the tournaments, the next tournament has me starting back from the Bronze League.
If it worked your way, you (nor anyone else) would never have any horses to challenge as they would all be in training all of the time they were not "racing". And then, only if they could find another horse to challenge that wasn't in training.
If you initiate the challenge and lose you get no points.
sorry about that... I just now finally figured it out! LOL
I only dabble with the horses, so I am still learning!!
But horses, it does cost a lot
Playing the horse tournament (some) = horseshoes.
Hard worker event (some) = horseshoes.
Contracts (some) = horseshoes.
Co-op Champ rewards (some) = horseshoes.
No money involved.
Please educate me. I am lost here. Thanks
Challenging other players - Tournament challenge
You can now challenge other players through your tournament transporter to prove how well your horses are trained.
- During an active season, you can engage in player versus player competitions through the tournament transporter.
- 3 opponents will be chosen for you to challenge - each of these players has obtained a rank close to your own in the current season.
- Once you have selected an opponent, you can choose which discipline you would like to challenge them in and choose which horse you would like to send into this challenge. You can also see which horses your opponent chose for the respective challenge, however, their stats are not displayed.
- After having challenged one of your 3 possible opponents, one new opponent will be chosen and put in their place, so you always have 3 possible opponents to challenge.
- Challenging opponents costs fuel for your tournament transporter to get to the competition location.
- If you win a challenge against a player you challenged, you win competition horseshoes and ranking points, if you lose, you only get competition horseshoes.
Being challenged by other players - Tournament preparationOther players can challenge your horses, just as you can challenge theirs. Make sure you are prepared!
Notice Board
News about your victorious horses spread fast and your mail box is overflowing with letters from your workers asking you how your last competition went... and some fan mail of course.
It's time to set up a notice board so everyone on your farm can see all the recent news regarding your horses.
- A new notice board can be found next to your tournament transporter.
- You will receive messages about a new season starting or the ongoing season ending, as well as reports about challenges that happened because other players challenged your horses.
- Messages about challenges include some details about the challenge as well as rewards for winning or penalties for losing.
- The notice board also has a tab dedicated to information about the current season, as well as another tab that will enable you to customize your appearance to other players with a future update.
Seasons - Leagues & ClassesEven your horses deserve a break every now and then, a nice relaxing evening in the hay or just lazing around on the pasture can be a nice change of daily routine for them. Therefore player versus player competitions are only possible during seasons. After each season, you and your horses get a break to recover from all the exciting tournaments.
As with all serious sporting events, there are leagues in order to enable competition between trainers of equal skill.
Take your chance, challenge other players and climb up the ladder to reach Diamond league!
There are classes within each league. These classes enable you to climb the ladder and grab some nice rewards along the way.
Your position within a league and its class is determined by the amount of ranking points you earned throughout the season.
Diamond League is a very special league, therefore several different rules and possibilities are different to those of other leagues:
Rewards
Of course competitions are already quite a lot of fun themselves, but wouldn't they be even more interesting if you were rewarded for all of your efforts? Thought so, read on to see which rewards you can grab along the way!
