missions players lack of effort
Hello
I have been hearing lots of discussion about missions and the new ones. Also I have noticed a rather drastic drop in effort by players during missions, i.e. sandbagging.
What I have been hearing is that as you win missions you get paired with higher level players, as you lose them your pairings get lowered.
This leads to a lower ranking and come Co Op challenges you are paired with lower players and now "try harder" and win the mission earning more points for your Co Op.
Part II
Is there any truth to contacting the powers that be telling them you have been "miss paired" and this results in closer pairings in the future.
I have not been enjoying things as much do to the drop off of player efforts and worry that I am suddenly beating players 2x my level and the future result will be unfair pairings do to my "winning record"
Thankyou
Georgy

For example: I have gotten the pig or milk missions several times when I can't harvest them without using gold to speed them along. That is a problem for me as I don't do the quick feeds all day long. Also, when I have too many rutabagas or alfalfa, or too much of the quick feed, I am not over-producing to sell...especially if I need corn or chicken feed.
Thank you both for the responses...
I understand the points about not changing farming styles and the timing of crops and have considered that.
What I mean is the clear efforts of harvesting just " a little " eggs missions that don't break 1500, when 5000 netted you 3rd place. wild flowers that don't break 2000 when 7000 or 8000 and count by the winners was 15000, this is clear slowing of game play from level 100+ players.

Is there any truth to winning and losing records changing game play pairings in missions?

Many players learned they had to do this to avoid getting solo missions.
The addition of the new missions it makes it harder to work missions the same way.
It is also off challenge, my priorities change when the challenge isn't running. Mission on last on my list, if I get one I want to do I do otherwise I sit out. I don't run keep them running much of the time. I am more concerned with the project the coop is working on, my market orders, and filling my barn than doing well in missions
Thankyou Monica and others
I have heard about solo missions and have never actually had one come up. I play multiple hours everyday. I continue to play missions and my tractors are complete other than the one for the green house
I really would like a confirmation about mission numbers pushing your pairing up or down. This could easily be "myth" but has gained traction by being passed around often enough.
If it is true, it is not something I like very much and does not "seem fair" that game play can be manipulated like that.
Pairings by "level" are fair, good players win, poor players lose, yes gold changes things, but I have built my farm a certain way. I win some missions, but lose others, because of my choices of farm layout. I happily accept that. I amend and adjust slightly as I can to improve and earn better decorations.
I should be paired against players at or near my level and be NOT able to play my way down for advantages come Co Op Challenge. Should I be
Co Op challenge is important to my group and less so myself, but I do my part aggressively.
Please continue this discussion.
Thankyou all, who have read and contributed.

I'm lvl 77 and am always being grouped with players at least 100 levels higher than me, with farms much more established than mine. It's difficult to compete with these players, and even more so when they obviously spend a lot of gold on the game.
I recently had a mission to collect eggs where I was grouped with 2 players lvl 200+ , 1 player lvl 178, another lvl 192 and a player lvl 13 and I came last!. The higher level players had me beat anyway because I only had 6 lvl 5 chicken coops that provided approx' 250 eggs every 12 mins, where as they all had at least 10 coops all gold bought and at max level. And to make it worse the lvl 13 player who only had 1 lvl 3 coop, must have sat there for the full 30mins using gold to instantly finish and collect.
The grouping of players needs fine tuning so that we compete with players reasonably close to our own level, and I don't think the use of gold should be allowed in missions.
As for the fine tuning, it's rather difficult to come up with a solution unless everyone is ok with their 5-minute wait becoming a 5-hour wait. You eventually have to be paired with higher level players because not everyone queues for missions all the time. Right now I believe it's based more on your past performance, and that's about as reasonably fair as you can get it imo. The ideal match-up would simply take too long(or at least this is assumed, as I don't have the stats concerning who queues and when). They could maybe apply a soft, flat level restriction, but that would be too difficult (at least in the US server) for the highest level players as they would have virtually no one to compete with beyond a few other players. Only other way is to have a scaled level restriction that gets removed at a high enough level, but it would need to have a good base of about 10 or 15 levels otherwise the low-levels may have a hard time getting a mission going in certain parts of the day. Still, it's a little hard to come up with the perfect solution that doesn't have any weaknesses.
I just plant my stuff and don't give a hoot bout the rest. Effort is the same for all players, we just don't play to meet your standards we play to meet OURS.
Just a note for future reference. You can make the special pig feed with the rutabagas and sell it at a profit. Not sure if this was intentional or not but it harvests very fast (even faster with a few coins...) so there is no reason to make any other feed during a mission. Biggest, quickest bang for your buck. And you don't lose money over-running your barn with it. I fill up my barn, then sell off all 2450 and start over. I even buy the rutabagas rather than grow em and still don't lose very much.
On the thread-starter's topic... There are many reasons why some people don't blow-n-go for every mission. Most just don't want to be on 24/7. Open a mission and harvest what you can then leave, happy with what points you can earn from said effort. For me, I like to let lower level players beat me. I even sparkle their stuff to help them along sometimes. I harvest enough to make it a decent effort, but that's it. The rewards were atrocious anyway, not much point in wasting much more time and energy, IMO...
