edited 16.04.2017 in Cooperatives

Hello Big Farm Farmer and Happy Easter!

We’d like to invite you to join our Freespirits Co-op on the US1 Server

First of all I’d like to tell you that in our Freespirits Co-op, we specialize in helping players learn all about the game! We help you with all your questions, troubleshooting, keep you informed of updates and tips, etc. We will send you training information as soon as you join us. We are nice, friendly, helpful TEAM players that really participate in the game on a daily basis and have lots of fun, fun fun!

What I have written below, I must admit is really a bit long, but please keep reading. It will give you a good overview of how the Co-ops work and other fun to come in our Big Farm game! It will also tell you about our Freespirits Co-op!

You received a task to join a Co-op (Cooperative) on Level 6. Well, you may have said, What’s a Co-op? How do the Co-ops work in the Big Farm Game? So, I’m going to give you an overview.

The Co-ops in Big Farm are really fun.  A Co-op is a group of players that work together to help each other. You meet other nice players in your Co-op, work together for the Co-op activities, chat and e-mail with them.  We congratulate each other as we make progress in the game, ask questions, get tips, & have lots of fun, fun, fun!

Here are the current Co-op activities in Big Farm. GGS (Goodgame Studios) is adding new things all the time!

Collectibles – You have probably seen tickets, tractors, cash registers, etc. fall as you work your farms. These are called Collectibles. One player must collect enough of one collectible to donate it to a project. We need 3 collectibles for each project. When we have all 3 collectibles filled for a project, then we may do that project. There is no other use for the collectibles in the game.

Co-op Fund – Players donate farm dollars to our Co-op fund on a daily basis. Currently the amount is up to you and gold is not required. As you level-up in the game, it is easier to donate more to our Co-op fund.  Everyone has been really good about donating regularly, so it has not been necessary to set a certain amount as some Co-ops do.

Co-op Trees – Each time you water your Co-op tree or another player's Co-op tree, you will earn $200. You can also earn some collectibles when you are finished watering your tree 8 times. You can water other player’s trees once a day and your tree 3 times a day. You can look over other player’s farms when watering their trees and get some get ideas for your farm!

Co-op Projects – When we have enough collectibles for a project we will announce which project we are planning and a day and time that it will start. This way you have a chance to prepare for it. During a project, you plant and harvest as much of the items needed as possible. The group count if the items needs to reach the goal for the project for us to win it. Nothing is taken or donated from your farm, it is only added to our count! When we win, we get farm dollars and gold for our Co-op Fund and Solidarity points. Solidarity points are used to level up our Co-op. When we level-up we get more great Research to do to benefit our individual farms.

Research – Research is done to increase the farm dollars you receive as individuals on your farm for a product, or increase how many are produced of an item, add members to our Co-op, increase the amount of time we have for a project, etc. We announce what Research we will be doing. Everyone has a Researcher slot to sign up for individually. The cost for your slot is in farm dollars and is based on your playing level, so the sooner you sign up, the less it will cost. You may hire an extra Researcher, if you want to, for 250 Gold (or maybe a little more as you level up) to help another player or our Co-op in general.  Everyone is expected to buy their Researcher slot ASAP once the Research is announced.

Then we concentrate on raising the money needed in our Co-op fund for our start-up fee for our Research. When we have enough money saved for that project and all the Research slots have been filled up, we can start our Research. It will run for a period of time, like the build times for things on your farm. Once complete, everyone in the Co-op gets the benefit of the Research for their individual farm. Some examples are more money for selling apples, milk, pigs, more almond muffins produced, etc. When you join our Co-op, you immediately get the benefits of all our past Research on your individual farms!

Co-op Championships - This is a Co-op event that runs for 4 days and is being held every other week-end. During that time, we all try to complete as many 30 min. missions as possible. We need to get as many reputation points from the missions as a group to meet each prize goal in the Co-op Championship. The Multi-Farmer Farm machine can give you up to 70% more reputation points when doing your missions. As our points total up as a group, there are 50 prizes to win as we go along. Every time we have enough points, everyone playing wins the next item! These can be Decos, certs, collectibles, mystery boxes, feed, etc.  It is lots of fun! They tell us 2 days ahead of time when the event is coming! You will often find yourself leveling up if you do a lot of missions during this event!

Co-op Team and Friendship – We also want you to participate in the chat and e-mails.  It’s nice to get to know each other, share ideas, questions, etc.

So, again, we invite you to come and join us in our Freespirits Co-op for lots of education about the game, and lots of great fun, fun, fun!!!

Our Co-op Rules are:

All members must be TEAM players, participate in ALL of our Co-op activities and play nice. We don’t have any drama in our Co-op, we just have lots of fun, fun, fun!

We do not require that you buy gold. If you do decide to buy gold and donate any to our Co-op or (use your game gold) to buy an extra Researcher slot to help out another player or our Co-op, it is very much appreciated!

We want you to play very frequently, daily as much as possible, and participate in all our Co-op chats, e-mails, watering all our Co-op trees, Projects, Research, Co-op Championships and make donations to the Co-op Fund for Research start-up fees daily. We need to raise enough farm dollars in our Co-op fund to run our Research, so donating a little each day helps a lot and it grows very fast that way!

Members who do not participate frequently in ALL Co-op activities or do not play for 7 days (may be 3 days or less for new players) are subject to possible removal from our Co-op. We work hard as a TEAM to complete our Co-op achievements and win prizes in our Co-op Championships. It is only fair that you participate in order to continue to receive these rewards.

So, be sure to let us know if you will be gone a couple of days, on vacation, etc. “Life” happens to all of us and we will work with you when you cannot play for a few days. Just keep the communication going or you may find that you have been removed from our Co-op for not participating! The game gives you a daily login bonus and other daily tasks and prizes.  We send out info about the game, schedule projects, updates, etc.  It is important that you keep up to date, read the chat and e-mails. The daily login bonuses really help too, especially the gold!

About the Big Farm Game

Just a few words about the game. Caution!! Big Farm can be really addicting!! LOL! Many of us play several hours a day and have been playing for well over a year! Just too much fun!! The game lets you design your own farms and decorate them as you choose. You can work out all kinds of strategies to have very successful farms!

Farms
You start off with a Main Farm and things go pretty fast. Later, you will have a Gourmet Farm and a Flower Farm. There are lots of fun events and tasks to do to help you keep busy and level up in the game.

Horse Ranch

You will soon have access to a Horse Ranch. On your Horse Ranch you can train, breed, and race your horses in tournaments with other players, build up your ranch, and win trophies in special tournaments.

Temporary Farm Events and the Ship

There are TEMPORARY farm events…you build and work your temporary farm for 30 days and then the storm comes and wipes out EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING! During the Island events you will win special prizes, convert your farm dollars to use a different currency, for example shells on the Island farm. Then you use this currency to buy things from the trader in the bazaar area, like seeds for your greenhouse or special buildings and decos. The fruits from the greenhouse seeds are used to fill the Ship’s orders with tropical fruits. You get horseshoes for your Horse Ranch from filling the ship’s orders. There is an Island, Viking, a Northern Lights and a new Candy Farm with a Country Fair temporary Island farm too.  We are now doing round 2 of the Candy Farm.

The Temporary Farms are VERY expensive and were initially designed to help long playing advanced players have something to spend all their money on!  LOL You can fly off to the Island Farms at Level 30, and just do a little to gain a few seeds for the greenhouse, so you can fill the ship’s orders and get some horseshoes for your Horse Ranch, or better yet, wait awhile - Level 50-70 until your main farms are built up and making lots of money and then do the Temporary Farms.  The workers on the temporary farms have free gifts for you just as they do on your main farms. They have just added some daily tasks on the temporary farms, which should help all of us a lot! These rewards for these tasks may benefit your main farms too. Temporary farms are running for 24 days now and we have a new one every month!

The ship will come every 6 hours and ask you for 4 products from your main farms and when filled it will leave, or if not filled, wait for 6 hours before leaving. You will get experience points, farm dollars and horseshoes for your Horse Ranch from the ship.  Once you enter a temporary farm, your ship will require 2 additional tropical fruits and if you cannot fill it, it will wait for 6 hours before departing.  This gives you only 2 ships a day if you do not have the tropical fruits.  There is no going back!  So take care before you fly off to an island temporary farm.

Invite Friends

There is a new Invite Friends feature too (this was not received well, so not sure how long it will stay).

Organic Market

The Organic Market is a recent addition to the game and is open for business now. You build up your Organic Market Stand, fill neighbor’s orders, and contracts. You get some great bonuses for selling your products at the Organic Market.

Advertisements

GGS is in the process of adding some Movie Ads.  These are advertisements, yes they have commercials now in our games. LOL They are still in a testing phase with a few players now, but we hope that they will be available to all players soon. They have some great prizes for you for watching the very short ads, including gold to use in the game!

New Forum

We have a brand new Forum too!  We are still getting used to it and they are adding to it as they bring out little improvements all the time and release new things. In the Forum you can win badges and interact with other players. Sometimes we have contests in the forums, games, and other fun too! There is a Monday contest on Facebook each week too. GGS sends out official announcements biweekly in the forum to tell us about new things in the game and we keep you updated on that!

Caution!
Just a word of caution, the first few levels in the game go very fast.  As you get up into the Level 20’s it takes longer and longer to build things and they begin to cost more and more. It’s kind of a shock at first, but it does get a whole lot better!  A lot of people get discouraged and stop playing in the Level 20’s-30’s, but just get that tractor out and plow on through it and everything will balance out! You will soon have the money you need and the time doesn’t seem so long anymore. You will be plenty busy!  Just be patient and have fun!

You can get some easy money doing the new 2 daily tasks with a mission and your farm machines and watering all the Co-op trees for $200 each. You will make apple turnovers with eggs and apples in your bakery on your Gourmet Farm in 26 min. & sell them for $49,000 for each batch! It's easy to donate a batch’s proceeds to the Co-op fund.  If you are beginning, consider donating the proceeds from watering the trees. We all work together as a TEAM. As long as you are donating what you can to our Co-op fund daily, you will be fine. Higher level players will donate more to help too while you get stated.

Save Your Game Gold!
Don’t spend your farm gold! Save it up and we’ll tell you how to double it in the mine! You will soon be able to get gold and lots of other nice prizes from watching the movies ads too! Then, buy water towers for all your farms for a great boost! You’ll have all the fertilizer you need after that too!

Save Your Tokens!

Save your tokens for the Wheel of Fortune until you have 8 of them.  When you use 8 of them, you get a spin on the bonus wheel for some really nice prizes! You will get a new token each time Monty comes with the Wheel of Fortune.  Recently we are getting a token here and there in our fields or from our Dog on the Main Farm when Monty is here too! You may get some from Movie Ads, the Hard Work Event and other places in the game too.  There is so much fun to come and so many special little events! We have lots more tips and fun things for you to do on your farm!

UPDATE!!!

We have a new fishing Game as part of our farms for all you anglers out there.

Holiday activities and hunts come with all the holidays!

April 12, 2017 GGS released 4 Huge updates, The Co-op Village, Adventurer Caprain Yarnacle, Horse Meadow and the Co-op Village League!!  So we are all very busy learning the new updates, doing additional training, building our Co-op Village and competing with other Co-ops for even more prizes!

GGS always has something new and exciting in the game to keep us interested.

They have a test server now in which we can participate in evaluating some of the new things and get a chance to get a sneak peek!

We hope that this information has helped you and that you are interested in joining our Freespirits Co-op.  We have training information all ready to go!  We’d love to hear from you!

Our Interview Process

I ALWAYS interview players who want to join us and get a little information from them before accepting them into our Co-op to be sure that we will work well together and that we are right for each other. It helps us know if we will communicate well together and how to address you.  If you do not speak English, I can tell you how to find the game in many other languages. Knowing where you are located and your time zone helps us plan the best time for our Co-op Projects. We ask your age to keep a balance of players of all ages in our Co-op. We ask a little about you to help us get acquainted!

  About Me

Here’s a little about me.  I am our Freespirits Co-op Leader, Craftycritters.  I’m a Level 201 (soon to be Level 202!) player and I play a whole lot at all kinds of times!  I love this game!  I have been playing for over a year and a half now, since about March 2014.  I live in Central California, USA in the mountains near Yosemite National Park in the Pacific Time zone. (GGS time in Germany is 9 hours ahead of me.  The game is based on German time.)  I am 63 yrs. young and I just love being a Grandma!  I love to teach, work with computers, and I’m a Registered Nurse. I have a little farm of my own with lots of animals, horse, dogs, cats, geese, chickens, birds, etc.  I love to fish, camp, hike, do all sorts of crafts, computers, animals, garden, learn all about things, build things, solve puzzles, learn about things, teach, etc.

 Your Interview

Please send an e-mail including the information below from your in game e-mail to me, Craftycritters or with a Co-op application to Freespirits (please include the information we ask for in your comments-see below) and tell us a little about yourself.

YOU MUST RETURN THE ANSWERS TO OUR QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU CAN BE ADMITTED TO OUR FREESPIRITS CO-OP!

In your e-mail, please answer the following questions.

1.    Do you speak English?

2.    What general area are you from?

3.    What time zone are you in?

4.     What is your age?

5.     Are you a he or a she?

7.    How often do you play and how much do you play each day?

8.    Are you willing to play daily, make reasonable efforts for the Cooperative activities, including donating farm dollars to our Co-op for Research, and participate in all Co-op activities?

9.    Why should we pick you over other players to be a part of our team?

10.  We’d also like to know a bit about you too so we can get acquainted.

Please ask any questions you may have of us too. The e-mail in Big Farm does not give you much space, so if you run out, just continue on another e-mail.

We’re looking forward to meeting you and having you join us!

Happy Farming!

Members who do not participate frequently in ALL Co-op activities or do not play for 7 days are subject to possible removal from our Co-op.

LOL! Many of us play several hours a day and have been playing for well over a year, or even for several years!

There are daily tasks on the temporary farms. These rewards for these tasks may benefit your main farms too.

There is a Invite Friends feature too (this was not received well, so not sure how long it will stay).

    Organic Market

The Organic Market is open for business! You build up your Organic Market Stand, fill neighbor’s orders, and contracts. You get some great bonuses for selling your products at the Organic Market.

    Fishing

We have a new fishing feature to the game where you can fish for different kinds of fish or send Oleg out to fish for you, from the shore, or in boats.  Then, in the Mermaid Bay, you prepare delicious fish dishes to eat and sell to make more money for your farm!

    Forum

We have great Forum too!  This is where we discuss the game and find out about new things.  In the Forum you can win badges and interact with other players. Sometimes we have contests in the forums, games, and other fun too! There is a Monday contest on Facebook each week too. The game is on Twitter too. GGS sends out official announcements biweekly in the forum to tell us about new things in the game and we keep you updated on that!

    Holidays

GGS has many holiday events that are lots of fun too!  You may even see some ghosts on your farm at Halloween!

    Testing!

From time to time, GGS will open a test game that you can participate in to test out upcoming new features in the game and get your feedback! This is done on a test server and your game there will be erased when the testing is finished.  GGS is always adding new features to the game and has lots of new things coming, like an additional farm for 2017!

With Level 1 Water Towers, you will have all the fertilizer you need!

    Save Your Tokens!

Save your tokens for the Wheel of Fortune until you have 8 of them.  When you use 8 of them, you get a spin on the bonus wheel for some really nice prizes! You will get new tokens as you play the game from various events, sometimes from your fields, or from your Dog on the Main Farm when Monty is here too! There is so much fun to come and so many special little events! We have lots more tips and fun things for you to do on your farm!

I’m a Level 203  player and I play a whole lot at all kinds of times!  I love this game!  I have been playing about 3 yrs. since about Feb. 2014.

Please send an e-mail including the information below from your in game e-mail to me, Craftycritters or with a Co-op application to Freespirits (please include the information we ask for in your comments-see below) and tell us a little about yourself.
